Sachiko's PoV
Seven Days

"Shiki is going to go with you today." Kakeru announced this morning at the dining table, when everyone was gathered for breakfast, except the said male.

"Sheeks is a heavy sleeper, he's always sleepy." Haruhito says.

"Should I go wake him up, then?" Takara asks, putting down her fork.

"No, Sakura should be fine doing that." Kakeru quickly says, pulling Takara back down by her wrist. I easily told he just didn't want his girlfriend to see another man's room, not to say that he's sleeping.

"Uh-huh." The smirk I had on was enough to alarm Kakeru that I knew what he was thinking. I walked upstairs, and reached out for the door knob.

A desolated room came into view. It was very...white. There was just a simple desk in the corner, and a bed in the middle of it, which Shiki was still dead asleep on.

On the desk, there was a laptop, probably for his researching; and a huge collection of Crackle Jack prizes. There was the Sirius pirate set, along with the pirate ship I found for him the first day I met them. Also a row of kitty rangers or whatever.

Anyways, conclusion, the only stuff in this room was collections, laptop and bed.

I stood by the side of his large bed. His lashes are so long.... Why do demons look like complete angels when they're asleep?

Actually angels have evil sides, too....

HOW exactly am I supposed to wake him up?

Shiki's PoV
I felt something poke at my arm.

"...get up? Hey...you need to get up...."
A soft voice called out. I flinched a little.

"Shiki? Are you awake yet?"

I am now. My eyelids slowly pull up. Sachiko was peering down at me, her long, wavy ginger hair was falling down from behind her shoulder, brushing against my arm.

"What?" my eyelids fall back down, trying to ignore her.

"Yo! Don't go back to sleep!" She cried. I felt cold air through me as she probably yanked my blanket off. My eyes were forced open.

"Breakfast is ready, and you need to be coming with me today." She said, trying to pull me up by the arm. I make no attempt to fight back, she was a lot stronger than she looked. Eventually I was sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Tsk. Such a pain." I muttered as I stood up. I thought she was going to shoot back at me, but instead...

"Yeah...I know. You guys are doing me a huge favor, and I know I'm causing you all trouble. I'm really sorry about that, but I had a good reason for my extra time."

I looked up at her. The seriousness and determination in her eyes almost startled me. Silence went between us when we just stared at each other for a few seconds. Then, she held up something from her left hand.

"Now put this on and come down with me." I didn't realize I was shirtless until then.

...

"Look who got up early today." Satoru remarked as soon as I sat down. True I wasn't usually here for breakfast since it's too tiring to get up.

After Sachiko went to work, we had missions that day so I had to go out and face the sun, one of my sworn enemies.

How I wished today was cloudy.

The rest of the team went to the demon realm to pick up Mi, while I stood in the passageway of the three realms. I don't want to go into the demon realm with Kakeru. I know for a fact that they will continue to bug me to go back.

It was then someone who just exited the human realm caught my brief attention.

"Oh! Shiki! Hi!" she's as innocent and sweet as ever, which I surprisingly didn't find nauseating. Her hazel hair swung slightly as she closed her sky blue eyes into a grin.

"Hikari...." I murmured. We used to work together, and her family has connections with mine. She's a demon, understandably.

"Where's the rest of your team? I'm just going back from a mission." She was still smiling as she asked.

"Demon realm." I reply simply, but she just never seems to be bored with me.

"Takamura!" someone shouted from the demon realm gateway.

"Coming!" she yelled back, "that's my captain. I'll see you around, Shiki?"

I nod, "Bye."

"Tell Kakeru I said hi and I'll do the same for your parents!" she gave a final wave before going through the gates. My parents?

"Sheeks! Was that Hikari?!" And now Haruhito's even more annoying voice fills my ears.

"Shiki? You look a bit pale. That is, more than usual." Mi made a comment as she closes the cap on her bottle of frozen red tea. We were walking down the streets having returned to the human realm, looking for our first candidate.

"There." Kakeru nodded to a woman, about her early fifties, walking along the stone pathways of the park, with very less people around.

That is Arata Taro. She had no children, and her husband was toasted two years ago. It's that I don't feel pity for the candidates anymore. I guess I've gone numb to it emotionally for a long time now, just like the others.

Why do we need Mi for this one, anyways? What's her craving to live? Oh wait, she must've had a lot of life regrets.

As she rested on a bench, I approached her, setting up the barrier.

Confirmed.

After Satoru came back from a fake fall of the lady, he said ever so confidently: "heart attack."

That's a very easy cover-up. It's car accidents and explosions that are more troublesome, like how Takara's and Sachiko's went. No wonder they both failed.

When I stepped back, Mi was already transformed. I don't get why reapers have such fancy costumes when they're on the work. We demons don't get anything.

The lady just sat there in pure shock. She saw. But it doesn't matter. A dead person is a silent person.

I watched as her scythe sliced into the woman's chest, as if dragging out her soul, while Kakeru tries to separate the soul from the body using his ability to manipulate life force. As soon as it came out, Haruhito catches it. He's responsible for taking the souls to heaven.

Then, Kakeru did something I'd rather not know, making the entire incident look like a heart attack that took away the woman's life instantly.

As we flew up to find our next candidate, the barriers on the ground disappears, people around start to notice the old woman. This is definitely gonna be on the news tomorrow morning.

Sachiko's PoV

"Group selfeh~!" As I held out the phone as far as I could, every Seasonelle team member tried to squeeze into the view of the camera.

"I look the best!" Minato bluffed as soon as I show them the pic.

While I was sitting leaning back onto my wheelie chair, the other five managed to all take a part in the selfie from either beside or behind me. Chiaki and Minato took my left and right sides; Akiyoshi on the far left and Kaoru on the far right; Shusei doing victory hands right behind me, all smiley.

It was the end of the day, I guess I got a little bit over board.

"See y'all tomorrow!" I feel like I'm starting to treasure my moments with these guys, now. After all I've only got seven days left. Six since it's already the evening.

The sky was dim as I was on my way to the demon house. Shusei had wondered why I was walking in another direction these days, I just brushed it off saying I had to do something after work.

I can already see the moon as the setting sun painted this end of the sky orange, red and medium violet, while the other side was already dark blue and a tad of black.

There were still yellow and red lights of cars constantly passing by the street, but the sidewalk of empty of other presences.

It was then I heard something like hissing sounds coming from an alley. Deciding to be the dare devil that I am-I'm gonna die within seven days anyway so YOLO-I made a turn into the alley. Somehow I see better in the dark than most others, it was almost like night vision.

Tiptoeing, I made extra sure that I could still hear a pin drop as I was sneaking closer.

There was something in the shadows, flailing around, not doing anything in particular.

Rather, someone.

As it came to a halt, it stayed seated in the middle of the small space.

"So now you saw, huh?" it, no, she suddenly spoke, and turned slightly. The dull pink orb made contact with my own hazel ones.

"Mi?" Even though a lot was different, I still recognized her immediately. That was when she stood up and faced me completely. Showing a black and pink pair of eyes.

"Uh huh." She was wearing a long black cape, with the light hood over her red head. The sides of the cape covered her hands. I narrow my eyes at her. Nope. Nothing sharp or harmful things were on her.

"So...what are you, really?" I asked, knowing that she might not be just a grim reaper.

She sighed, "Nobody has ever caught me on the business."

"Well, I already know you're a grim reaper." I say almost casually, while pulling up my sleeves, as a sign of nervousness.

Her eyes widened a considerable amount and cocked her head. Her arms were crossed in front of her chest, but she was indeed surprised.

Silence was in the air for a minute. I guess she was waiting for me to explain to her how I knew, but I didn't. There are only six people I can count down who knows my secrets.

When she finally opened her mouth, she said: "I...I have...vampire blood."

I raised an eyebrow. That might explain the sharp teeth she's showing as she spoke.

"I don't have thirst for blood nor do I smell scents, that's what's different. But I do easily get sun burnt, night vision, and I have vampire fangs and eyes." She blinked as she spoke. "It's just that I need to let this side of me out once in a while, no?"

When I remained silent, she let out a breath: "huh...you're actually the first person who knows this...."

I have no idea what was going through my mind. I couldn't think.

Takara's PoV

"Welcome home! How'd the missions go?" I greeted Kakeru as soon as they all stepped into the living room.

"Smoothly." He said with a confident smirk. "Is Sakura home yet?"

"No, actually," I tapped a finger against my chin, "she's not."

"Maybe she has to over work." Satoru dropped down onto the sofa.

Suddenly, there was a series of banging on the door again. It's probably Akane...again. She's always here to see Satoru.

And his reason of always being with her? Akane has demon royalty blood, she's apparently 'useful' to him.

As Meguru opened the door, she came rushing in. She already ignored the presence of me since long ago, so I don't have anything to worry about.

Just as she slipped her arm around his, they got up, the front door opened again.

Sachiko?!! Now's not the best time!!!

"H-hey!" I heard Kakeru call out.

But she already entered the living room, upon seeing Akane, she stood rooted. And to my surprise, Akane slowly stood up, untangling her arm with Satoru's. I can tell the demons were panicking, trying to form excuses.

Akane didn't look suspicious, or anywhere near upset. She just looked at Sachiko up to down. I swear a look of nostalgia flashed through her eyes.

She murmured something under her breath that I did not catch.

"Uh-um...excuse me...am I supposed to know you?" She shifted uncomfortably.

"Right...sorry, no you're not." Akane smiled apologetically, this was the first time I've seen her with such a soft expression.

"Sorry Satoru...maybe I'll come by another time." And with that, she left, without even glancing back.

"Now that's something new...." I hear someone say in the background, but I was too confused to hear the rest. Akane really seemed like she knew Sachiko.

But how?
