Mi's PoV

I stared at Sachiko's arm. Where the wound was nowhere to be seen anymore.

She seemed to be ten times more surprised than I was.

I will stop working with her once this issue is finished. To be honest I feel quite....

"Is everything alright?" Tsubasa—the other angel—rushed over and did a quick look up for everyone. Then, he took both of Sachiko's arms. My eye twitched. He's getting too close for comfort.

That night, I stayed in the usual alley I rested in sometimes. I stood in the middle after a quick fly around the place. The fangs felt slightly uncomfortable in my mouth since I don't let them out often.

Well, of course she isn't human.

I sensed movement at a corner so I chased after it.

Then what should I do now?

I relax when I saw it was only a rat.

I want to help her.

I slide down a wall and onto the ground.

But how? How can I find out?

My eyes narrow, so I can sense even the tiniest movements in the shadows.

...Someone with a high sense of smell....

Kakeru's PoV

That afternoon after work, Takara and I both got off early, we went to visit her sister. Hmm...and my soon to be sister-in-law.

"Takara! Kakeru!" she cheerfully greeted as soon as we entered.

I spot little Canon crawling on the living room sofa, Yuusuke was playing with her.

"Good afternoon." I say politely before entering the living room.

"Hey there, Kakeru!" Yuusuke greeted me before his attention going back on to his daughter, who was just new-born for almost four months.

Takara was talking with Makoto, so I'm speaking with Yuusuke for a while. He has such loving eyes when he's looking at Canon like she's precious. Is that how it feels to be a father...?

My eyes suddenly widen.

There it is again.... Over these three months that I've visited here with Takara, sometimes I sense another demonic presence other than my own. But it was like demonic, with a dash of angelic. My eyes scan the room, but I don't see anything out of usual.

It feels like someone's glaring at me. I glance around me one more time.

In the late evening, we walk hand-in-hand back to the demon house. Takara had a grin on her face the entire time. It made me want to smile as well.

I keep on turning back. I just feel like someone, or rather something, is following us. Of course Takara didn't think anything was suspicious as we walked in the dark.

"Kakeru!" a faint voice was heard that got louder as someone landed in front of me. Satoru had on a serious expression as he said: "Meguru and Sachiko are missing."

Sachiko's PoV

Now that my very last issue in Seasonelle is finished...I should leave some instructions like that for the next person who comes in my place. So that they can do a good job on continuing Seasonelle when I'm gone. Yeah, that's exactly what I'll do tomorrow.

I was still thinking about it when I entered the house. That's how I jumped back from Meguru was right in front of me. It seems like he waited for some time.

"You ready?" he asked, then glanced out of the window, "we gotta hurry, there's not much time left."

"But it's only five thirty...." I murmur but didn't mind as Meguru held the door open for me.

Very soon we got on a subway train. The time passed by slowly, I felt like we've already rode across the world.

It was seven pm when we were walking down a highway. We made small talk, even though I'm still confused as to where we're heading to and what I got myself into. And I'm kind of hungry too....

"Here." I look up to see a muffin held up to me.

"I baked some before you came back, in case we get hungry. It's a long way, sorry about that." He grinned slightly apologetic at me. I smile back. He's so thoughtful. And this blueberry muffin is delicious!

It was about five to eight when we finally arrived. My jaw dropped to the gorgeous view in front of me.

The sun set at the sea. The sun was large, like it was sinking into the painted orange and yellow water. The strands of clouds around looked like silk emphasizing the amazing view.

"...Wow." Was all I could utter out. I slipped out my phone when I came back to my senses. I snapped several photos.

"Right?" Meguru chuckled once beside me, "I thought you'd like it here."

"It's...beautiful, just beautiful, Meguru." I took a few steps forward and sunk my toes into the soft, white sand.

'Like you'. I heard his thought but didn't think further.

I walked a little bit more until I reach the pushing waves against my feet. The water was cold, but I felt really warm. Meguru went to all this trouble just to bring me here.

"S-Sachiko?" I heard his voice from just a bit behind me.

"Thank you so much." I spun around to face him. His face was a little orange-ish red. Probably from the sunset.

"Ah, you're welcome. It's no problem." His usual smile came back on. On impulse, my arms flew out and around his neck. The hug was so short and instant, I pulled back before he can even return it.

Not a second later, footsteps were heard among the sand.

Both of us look past the beach to find all the other guys standing at the highway, most of them panting.

"Meguru, you idiot." Shiki commented.

"What's up?" I ask before putting back on my sandals.

"You do realize it's past eight pm, right?" Satoru says with a scary frown. I haven't talked to him ever since that day when we had a kinda fight. He became much more distant. And he didn't even say anything when I wore a low V-neck shirt.

"I can read a watch." I say back sarcastically.

"Meguru, what're you doing?" of course, the angriest was Kakeru. He was in casual clothing, so I presume he wasn't coming after us from work.

"It was my idea." He walked towards them, "I wanted to show her here."

Kakeru frowned even deeper, if that was possible.

"Don't do that." I say and before I knew what I was doing, I pushed in between his eyebrows with my left index finger, "frown lines are ugly."

His face popped in genuine surprise. But then covered it when I laughed.

Haruhito's face was unusually serious as he stared at the ground. Seemingly to be deep in thought.

Just then, I spot someone. He was standing right by the side of the high way. His eyes glaring furiously at...I follow his gaze...Kakeru.

"Come on, let's go." Kakeru said. He scanned our surroundings to make sure nobody was around before setting up barriers.

I was just about to point out that guy standing there, when I realized Kakeru didn't see him right there at an obvious place. I bit back my words. That guy and I made eye contact. His eyes widened, but mine just narrowed more in confusion.

We were having a stare down for quite some time until Haruhito scooped me up bridal style. I was taken by surprise and while I was shaken, that guy disappeared.

Who was that...? I thought as I lay in my bedroom, it was twelve am and I can't sleep at all.

I remember his blazing red hair and pupils as he glared at Kakeru. But when he saw me, it turned kind of like a shade of orange, like ginger.

I twisted my own hair at the thought.

I'm fairly sure I've never seen this man ever in my life—not that I remember of anyway, but why does he scream out 'familiar' at me?

The answers shall all be revealed after these ten days are up.

I sat up when I heard that. No, it was my own voice, so it wasn't someone else's thought. But I didn't think that. Who said that?!

That reminded me of how Mi came to a conclusion saying that I'm definitely not ordinary human, at the very least.

How did my life suddenly become so full of questions and complicated just in a few days? Just ever since I've crossed paths with these demons.

If I were never on that stupid Fate Database for another fifty years, my life would totally go on smoothly just like how it was before.

I closed my eyes in order to stop staring up at the ceiling.

Anyways, I still need to sleep. I'll eventually find the answers I need.

[Two Days]

When my last article was completely ready for publish, I didn't rest a second. I immediately took out sticky notes to jot down instructions of my work. Like how some things around here worked. I thought about writing about the guys' habits, but shook it off. It's kind of private thing only I know of.

Minato tends to spin his pen when he's thinking. So don't think he's slacking off when he's staring off into space, spinning his pen. He's thinking about how to write an article.

Don't take Shusei's charming flirting seriously. Never do.

If you wanna survive peacefully, don't cross path too much with Chiaki. He still has a lot of things on his mind that he just can't get over yet.

I used up almost twenty post-it sticky notes when I think I just about covered everything. I left them all in a drawer so they'll only see it when they clear up my desk after I... I...die, I guess.

"Sachiko, you can go back early today, a job well done." Akiyoshi pats me on the shoulder before walking back to his own desk. I pack up my things real quick and left.

Let's see...I should write some things.

I opened the door to my own apartment that I haven't been in for...well a couple of days. I pulled out several things I had over the years.

I still kept all of my books in university. I can donate my clothes....

My apartment was half in boxes when I heard the window being opened. Alarmed, I swung around. A familiar figure stood in front of the mirror, looking around before settling his eyes on me.

"Nice to see you again, Sachiko." He says sarcastically. His wavy pink hair flowed with the breeze. How did he even find it here?

"What do you want from me?" I ask, a tone of exasperation in my voice.

He frowned: "then I'll get straight to the point."

I pushed my hair back and crossed my arms.

"...I want you to convince Shiki to come back home, to the demon realm."
