Luffy and Law loved each other, that was no secret. Luffy liked to say things as they were and Law was a man of few words, so apart from language, they confessed their love to each other by doing things for one another.

"Oi gather up! Dinner's ready!" Sanji called everyone.

"Yahoo! Food!" Luffy was, as usual, the first one at the table, everyone else arrived shortly, including their guest for a few days, Law. The other captain made his seat beside Luffy and ate silently.

"Oi Law, you need to eat some meat too." Sanji pointed when he noticed that Law was only ingesting rice and soup.

"Yeah Torao." Luffy agreed. "Meat makes everything better!" The Strawhat captain neatly cut a generous portion of the steak he was going to devour and put it on Law's plate.

"I know dammit, I am a doctor." Law pouted ever so slightly and ate the meat Luffy had so lovingly shared with him.

"How many times Luffy-ya?!" Law scolded, dragging Luffy to the captain's quarters on the Polar Tang. Law's lover had managed to get shot with a seastone bullet, again.

"Hey it's no big deal-" Luffy protested.

"Oh it will be when it's infected and your entire arm needs to be cut off!"

"Chopper can-"

"Tony-ya left you in my care." Law sat Luffy down on the bed and wheeled his chair in front of the boy, shambles-ing the medical kit beside Luffy. "Take off your shirt."

"I thought you were going to patch this up, are we doing the naughty instead?" Luffy sniggered putting his strawhat aside. Law pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Please don't use that word for sex. Also your sleeve is in the way, that's why, take your shirt off. I will gladly make love to you later if you still want it."

"Ok, it's a deal!" Law helped Luffy pull his arms out of the shirt without injuring himself further.

The Hearts captain numbed the other captain's arm and began working on getting the bullet out. He cursed the marines for not being able to get a cleaner shot that wouldn't leave the bullet inside. Once Law was finished putting surgical glue on the rubber skin, he meticulously bandaged Luffy's arm and stuck band-aids to numerous other cuts he had managed to suffer.

Once Law had put away his medical supplies and cleaned his hands, he began his ritual of kissing each and every piece of bandage or band-aid Luffy had. He liked doing that, he liked to think it would accelerate the healing process. Law was a man of science but Luffy sometimes made him a hopeless romantic.

Law was lounging in his room on his submarine, reading through a particularly interesting medical article he had come across on the last island they had docked at. Right now they were on a winter island and Law rarely liked those so he was bundled up in blankets, his lamp setting up a warm ambience. He was at peace.

"Toraoooo~!" Luffy ran through the corridors, his sandals ringing the metal floor. He came to Law's room and opened the door. "Torao let's play in the snow-" Luffy stopped when he saw Law was reading. Law looked at his lover to see what he would do.

Would Luffy drag Law to play?

Would Luffy leave Law be and go play himself?

But Luffy only stared at the older captain and silently closed the door, taking his shoes off at the edge of the bed, pulling his coat and sash off, putting his strawhat on Law's study table and crawled in the bed, under the covers, cuddling close to the other man.

"What about playing in the snow?" Law asked putting his arm around Luffy, giving him access to make Law's shoulder his pillow.

"We can do that tomorrow." Luffy answered knowing Law wanted to stay in bed.

"Thank you." Law kissed the younger's head and resumed reading.

"Luffy! Torao is here!" Nami called her captain when she spotted the Heart pirates' submarine docking next to the Thousand Sunny. Sanji was already preparing for a feast for the reunion.

"Yay!!" Luffy ran off the deck and jumped on the sandy beach, running to the sub, waiting for Law to come out.

"Missed me?" Law asked hugging Luffy back, the embarrassment long past him.

"I have so many stories for you Torao!"

"Before that, where's Kuroashi-ya?" Law looked around.

"In the kitchen, why?"

"Come with me." They both went to the kitchen.

"Oh Law!" Sanji greeted. "Tea?"

"Sure." Law sat down and opened a ROOM, bringing crates upon crates in the kitchen.

"What's all this?" Sanji checked the boxes before Luffy did and grinned. "This will be fun."

"What is it?" Luffy jumped, trying to smell it all. "Oh! Meat!"

"All the different meats I encountered on different islands since we last met. You would love that spiky lizard, that meat is so juicy." Law answered Luffy, questioning himself on when it was that he got so interested in eating meat himself. Perhaps it was Luffy's influence.

"Torao! I love you!" The older pirate was hugged by an overexcited monkey of a boy.

"I know and I love you."

Law couldn't keep the lovestruck, goofy smile off his face, waiting in the kitchen on his sub, watching Luffy make onigiri for him.

"What do you normally do when you want midnight snacks?" Luffy asked mixing something in the boiled rice.

"Nothing really. I don't like waking anyone up for this and I am always too lazy to do anything myself." Law answered truthfully. He got hungry in the middle of the night and his discomfort woke Luffy up too, who then offered to make some onigiri for Law.

"That sucks Torao, I always raid the fridge."

"I am aware." Law laughed lightly. "When did you learn?" Law asked gesturing to the rice with his eyes.

Luffy put on some gloves and began molding the rice into triangles. "I asked Sanji to teach me a few months ago. Cooking is so difficult!"

"So why did you want to learn?" Luffy placed a finished onigiri in front of Law and began working on another.

"I wanted you to eat something I made." Law couldn't stop himself from leaving his seat on the counter stool and kissing Luffy. The younger giggled in the kiss.

Law sat back down and took a bite of the rice. "It has salmon." Law noticed, something very near to stars in his eyes.

"Nishishi! How do you like that?" Luffy asked, proud.

"A lot, it's great." Law acknowledged and ate three onigiri, which considering him, was two more than usual, especially at night.

"I will make something new next time we meet."

"Yes please."

Law was relaxing on the Sunny's deck. The day was calm, all the other Strawhats were indoors, the Hearts lounging on either of the two ships' decks. Luffy was sitting beside Law, wanting to spend time with him but also bored out of his mind. He was fidgeting. A lot.

"When was the last time you let loose?" Law asked without looking at the allied captain.

"Been a while." Luffy answered. Law knew when Luffy stopped speaking and started fidgeting, he had excess energy that needed to be blown off and right now, sitting beside Law, Luffy could hardly do that. Luckily, Law knew of a way to blow off steam that Luffy absolutely loved.

"Come on." Law got up and put his hat aside, pulling his coat off but keeping the undershirt on. He took off his shoes and put them with this other things. "I can't let you suffer like that." He smirked and Luffy perked up.

"Yes!!" Luffy sprung out of his seat and put his hat with Law's, kicking his shoes off.

"Here, no powers this time too." Law buckled the seastone chain on Luffy's neck and his own. It had only twenty percent seastone, the Hearts captain got it crafted in Wano especially so the two captains could spar without their devil fruit powers. The chain didn't sap their strength but stopped them from using their abilities. It was a win-win when it came to hand to hand combat.

"Inform Chopper, the captains are at it again." Penguin lazily told Shachi and Bepo when he saw both Luffy and Law sparring on the lower deck. Law had once told his three oldest friends how Luffy liked this kind of a combat, that Luffy often did this with his brothers and they always had fun. The Hearts crew had first misunderstood the sparring as the other captain abusing their captain but after the explanation from Law, they understood that this is was just another way for their captain to show his love for Luffy, to indulge him in sparring.

"Torao open the door, my hands are full!" Luffy called from the other side of the door to Law's room.

"Full with what?" Law asked opening the door and looking at a Luffy with a shit ton of books on his arms. "Are you sick?" Law teased.

"These are for you." Luffy pouted and put all the books on Law's table. "Medical journals from all the islands we went to after we set off separately."

"You didn't have to Luffy." Law smiled already going through some of the titles and liking what he saw.

"Of course I had to! You like knowing about things and since you're a doctor, you must want to know about medical practices on different islands!" Luffy reasoned flopping on the bed.

"I do."

"Chopper gave me the words for my thoughts." Luffy confessed knowing Law would be teasing him about it soon.

"I can tell." Law sat beside the Strawhat captain and tickled his sides.

"Nihihiihi Torao stop!" Luffy laughed and curled on himself to hide from Law.

"Thank you for the books. I'm sure I will enjoy them." Law kissed Luffy's forehead then his eyes went to the other pirate's treasure. "Hmm? What's this?" Law took the strawhat in his hands and examined it.

"Ah! Noo! My hat!" Luffy looked like he would cry seeing the hole in the rim. "Must have happened in the forest."

"Let me guess, it got stuck in a branch?"

"Yeah."

"No worries. I can easily fix it." Law brought out a needle and a threat and got to work.

"Oh yeah you're a doctor! You are good with this!" Luffy acknowledged seeing Law patch up the strawhat. Law worked on the stitching carefully, wanting the job to be neat because it was Luffy's precious hat.

"There you go." Law put the hat on Luffy's head and sat back to admire the grin on the other's face.

"Thanks Torao!"

"You're welcome."
