[(Y/N)'S POV]

I waited patiently, but angrily for 10:10 to come. That genie I swear... he took my first kiss! I'm going to kill him...

I sat on my bed, legs and arms crossed. When Hoshi finally appeared, he saw my angry expression and immediately went for the door.

"Yah!" I pulled him back.

"Y-yes?" he asked, obviously scared.

"I knew you were just a perv! You stole my first kiss!" I complained.

"Sorry, I just granted your wish!"

"That wasn't even my wish!"

"Well you stopped crying after that didn't you?"

"That's because I was angry!"

"It was a way to grant your wish," he replied. I rolled my eyes, not wanting to pursue this argument anymore.

I sighed and sat back on my bed. What should I wish for today? I had a year of wishes, and I already didn't know what to ask. What was this year even going to be? Having so many wishes makes you wonder what to actually wish for.

I could ask Hoshi to make Wonwoo like me back, but I know this isn't right. I need to move on already. I'm just his friend, nothing more.

"Do you have a wish?" Hoshi asked me.

"Not yet," I replied.

There was a knock at my bedroom door and I panicked. Hoshi was here! How would I explain this?

"Sweetie? I made some snacks." I heard my mom's voice.

"Quick hide," I whispered to Hoshi. I opened the closet and gestured him to go inside it.

"But-"

I pushed him in and at the same moment my mom walked in. I luckily had already closed the closet door.

"Here you go," she posed the bowl of fruits on my desk. I thanked her. She was going to leave, when we suddenly heard the door of my closet crack. She turned back.

"What was that?"

"Nothing! Just, huh, the wind!" I replied.

"There's no wind, your window is closed."

Dang. What should I do?? She proceeded to the closet. I couldn't do anything to stop her at this point. When she opened it, Hoshi was standing there making a peace sign towards me. My mom though, didn't have any reaction. She simply closed the closet.

"I don't know why I thought there was someone." She started laughing as she left my room.

What the hell? Hoshi was right there!

I opened the closet.

"She can't see me, only you can," he said.

"Why didn't you tell me before?"

"I tried."

"Anyway, I'm going at my best friend Hyemi's house," I told him as I grabbed my backpack.

"Okay," he said and followed me.

We walked over to her house, since it was pretty close to where I live. Before knocking at the front door, I told Hoshi to behave and not make anything suspicious. Hyemi invited me inside and we went to her bedroom and started talking.

"That's right, while I'm thinking about it, yesterday Wonwoo messaged me," she said.

"Oh really...?" I diverted my gaze to the ground.

"Don't be sad," Hoshi said. I didn't reply, but it gave me confidence.

"What did he say?" I asked her.

"He said he wanted to talk more with me," she said.

"What do you think?" I asked.

"I don't know. He's your crush, I don't want to steal him or something," she replied.

"Don't worry, I know he doesn't like me," I told her. I tried to smile reassuringly, but it must have looked fake.

"You still like him don't you?" I couldn't help but look down once again.

"Yeah..."

[Hoshi's POV]

I was listening to their conversation in silence. I don't know why, but I kind of felt sad (Y/N) likes Wonwoo. I felt like I should protect her. Maybe I only had that feeling because she was the first human girl I had gotten in my few years as a genie.

I had been an official genie for two years, this one being my third. I was a pretty new genie after all. I didn't have much experience.

In the genie world, you can only start being someone's genie at 15 years old, and you are always attributed to a human your age. Now I'm 17, and so is (Y/N). Genies work until they're 40 years old, before becoming a teacher for future genies.

Yesterday when I took her first kiss, it was actually mine too. Why would a genie kiss a human? I don't know what took me, it just felt right at that moment. It wasn't exactly a great idea, since there were rules for this kind of stuff.

By the rule 367 of the genie book, I am not supposed to kiss a human.

I would have gotten lectured if I was still a beginner, but after a year of experience they stop supervising your every moves. Well that's actually just delaying it to later, because they usually do some check ups from times to times to know if you're doing your job. I knew some problems were still awaiting me. I was just really hoping the god of genies wouldn't discover our kiss.

By the rule 432 of the genie book, I am not supposed to fall in love with a human.

Yet this kiss yesterday, it made my heart flutter?

[(Y/N)'s POV]

Most of the day was spent at my best friend's house, until 19 o'clock. I still hadn't made any wish. As we walked home, Hoshi and I decided to stop at the park close to my house.

"Have you found your wish?" he asked me. I shook my head.

"What if I don't make one?"

"Then I'll stop appearing, forever. You have to make one each day," he stated, slightly emphasizing the "have to".

"Oh. Is there a limit of time to make the wish?"

"You have until midnight."

"Okay, then I should hurry and make a wish isn't it?"

"You still have time."

"How about doing skateboard together?" I suggested.

"Sure." Two black skateboards appeared in his hand. He handed one of the two to me.

"Do you know how to skateboard?" he questioned.

"No actually," I replied.

"Shall I show you then?" He smiled sweetly at me, and I nodded in agreement.

He stepped on his skateboard and made a trick,  which impressed me. Hoshi then tried showing me how to execute it. I was a total beginner though, and I kept loosing my balance, so he had to hold my hands to help me.

When I finally managed to do the trick without any problems, it was already 20 o'clock.

Hoshi tried out his trick once more, but fell for the first time. He looked totally shocked and his face was priceless. I couldn't stop laughing, he eventually gave in and laughed too. When we came back to our sense, I handed him the skateboard.

"It was fun. I'll see you tomorrow," I told him as I smiled.

He nodded and disappeared.
