25' Long Way Back From Hell

Wanda and Hayley were pacing in a room while Kol and Elijah went out to talk with Monique. "Hayley!" Elijah suddenly shouts. Hayley runs out of the room with Wanda right behind her.

"Elijah! You're back, did you find..." she starts then she sees names all over his body "thing. What is happening?" she asked. Kol was looking at the names too, Wanda came up and her eyes widened at the sight.

"I need you to make a list of these name." Elijah told Hayley, "What exactly is this, Elijah?" the wolf questions again. "I think their the names of the bodies Celeste jumped." Kol answered.

Marcel joins them "It's called a Devinette. It's old school. Kind of a riddle. Witches use them to teach their kids. Solve it and it disappears." he said. "Why? What's the point?" Wanda asks still not understanding.

"Celeste forced me to make a choice between yourself and my two siblings, and now she means to mock that choice, taunting me with a childish game. The longer the game, the more they suffer. To find Klaus and Rebekah, we need to solve this riddle. The solution lies somewhere in these names." Elijah explained. "The name next to Sabine... Annie La Fleur, she's the witch that was shunned from her coven just over a year ago. Never knew why, but I can find out." Marcel offered leaving Elijah behind him. Kol placed a kiss on Wanda's forehead then left after his brother.

Wanda and Hayley kept looking through the names when Hayley's phone rang, "She killed herself?" she said to Elijah who called.

"Yes, drowned herself in the Mississippi, to be precise. Celeste was clearly tired of the body and ready to take Sabine's."

"How do you know that?" Wanda asked and she knew they could hear her.

"Because she leapt to her death from the very location Celeste and I had our first kiss." Elijah said.

"Poetic, I guess... in a creepy vendetta sort of way." Hayley told him.

"All these names, these lives, stolen that Celeste might take her revenge. I suppose we have no choice but to see where they take us. Hayley, I have to go. I'll call you back."

"Elijah wait!"

"What is it?"

"Ask Marcel if he knows anything about a name on that list Brynne Deveraux. Sophie said that it was her family's bloodline that put the curse on the crescent wolves, but Celeste said that she was the only one that could break it. If Brynne Deveraux was actually Celeste when she cast the spell, then maybe Celeste can still break it." Hayley said to him as Wanda was completely lost with those peoples names.

"I'll see what he knows"

"Elijah, I'm really sorry that you're going through this. If I had known that Celeste made you choose who to help–"

"You and Wanda were going to die in that fire Hayley along with my brother's child there was no choice." Elijah said then he hung up.

Hayley looked disappointed, "Hey, there's nothing we can do he made his choice now we have to help bring Rebekah and Klaus back in one piece." Wanda tried to comfort Hayley but wasn't sure how, since Clint or Steve usually helped her or even Sam.

"Thanks, Wanda I know." Hayley said giving her a small smile.

Hayley started to look something up on the computer as Wanda was throwing darts using her powers. Elijah and Kol walked in and Hayley started to talk but Elijah cut her off. "You were right about the Deveraux witch." he said but before Hayley can say anything Marcel enters.

"Find anything about Clara, the mystery witch?" he asked as Wanda stopped throwing darts to engage in the conversation, "Not much. She was a nurse as the Fleur De Lis Sanatorium." Hayley says.

Marcel freezes and everyone quickly notices, "Recognize her?" Hayley says as she shows him the computer screen. "No I don't. Marcel?" Elijah says turning to him, "You know something" Wanda said, everyone turned to her.

"You're mind got loud the second the name was mentioned, you keep repeating a name over and over." Wanda announces.

"Marcel talk, or we can have Wanda find out for us." Kol snapped, "The Sanatorium. That's where you'll find them." Marcel revealed.

"How do you know?" Elijah asked, "I just do." Marcel said, "If I'm right, you need to know exactly what we're walking into. We did something, Rebekah and I... I think the witches are trying to use it against her. It was, uh... something that you're not gonna like." he said.

Kol and Elijah went rigid at the name Mikael, Wanda laced her hand with Kol's in hopes to calm him. "For the better part of a century, I have wondered how father found us, what foolish mistake that we had made to destroy our time in the one place that we could finally call home. Did you know, I even blamed myself for a time, Marcellus?" Elijah started as he was now angry.

"Elijah!" Hayley shouted, "Niklaus treated you like a son." he spat, Kol was also furious "When our brother finds out I don't even want to know what he'll do." he spoke tightening his grip on Wanda's hand.

"I will not let my sister suffer that wrath." Elijah spoke, "Then we need to get to them before he learns the truth." Wanda said.

The five went to the Sanatorium but split ways, Wanda and Kol were going down hallways looking for the two siblings. "How much did Klaus hate his dad?" Wanda asked.

"Very. It also didn't help that Mikael is not his biological father." Kol replied, Wanda's eyes widened at this "Our father abused Nik the most, especially since he was half wolf, but our father also hated us for what we had become." Kol explained.

"He hated you?" Wanda whispered not understanding how a parent could be so cruel. "As did our mother even if she did create us into what we are now." Kol said.

"I was a witch once." he told her, Wanda looked at him "You were a witch?" she asked with a small smile.

Kol nodded, "I loved it, the spells, the incantation." he smiled wishing he could have showed Wanda some of his favorite spells "But it was ripped away from me when we were made into vampires, I craved blood and I hated it, till I gave in becoming exactly what I had been made into. And I hate myself for it" the Original said slight sadness in his voice.

Wanda turned the vampire towards her, holding his face between her hands "We all have something we hate about ourselves Kol, but that doesn't make us worth less, we are who we are and that's ok." she said gently. Kol smiled and softly pressed their lips together.

"REBEKAH!" a voice yelled, the two broke apart and ran to where the sound came from.

Wanda stopped and saw a knife aimed at Marcel, she summoned up her powers holding Klaus in place, Kol speeds in front of his brother taking the knife away when Elijah comes takes the knife out of his hands and plunges it into Klaus's chest, "Run. Both of you. Far away fast. Run!" Elijah told Rebekah and Marcel, the two sped out of the house.

Wanda let go of the hybrid and Elijah caught him. Leaving an unconscious Klaus in his arms.

Elijah set Klaus down on his bed, "Wanda" Elijah said, "Yeah?" the girl replied, "I need you to bring me Camille." he said, "Cami? Why?" Wanda questioned.

"Because out of all of us here, he will less likely try and kill her." he said, Wanda sighed and nodded going out of the room.

After some convincing Cami came into Klaus's room "Why did you call me? Have you found a way to help my uncle?" she instantly asks as Wanda comes up behind her. "I can try, but first, I need your help." Elijah tells her.

Kol gestures for Wanda to join her side, she rolls her eyes and makes her way next to him, clingy vampires.

"I don't have time for games, Elijah. The hex on him is getting worse by the day." Cami said, "My brother has a mystical torture device buried in his chest, and the mother of his child is inexplicably missing. So, I can assure you, I have no time to play any games, either." Elijah replies.

Cami's face grew serious "What do you need me to do?"

Elijah shows her Klaus and explains what happened "The dagger the witch gave me is inside of him?" Cami asked as Elijah took his jacket off and rolled up his sleeves having to be the one to remove the knife since Kol called 'not it'.

"And every second it remains causes Niklaus untold suffering." the older Mikaelson said, "Who stabbed him?" the blonde asked. "He did." Kol said nodding towards Elijah.

The older brother shot his younger sibling a glare "And now I intend to remove it. Step back." he said. "Why am I here?" Cami asked again.

"Because of all the people that could be here, you're probably the only one he wouldn't immediately slaughter." Elijah uses a scapel to slice into him along the red scar on his stomach "Also, he speaks of you" he says as he plunges his hand into Klaus' chest "with what is a rare degree-for him, at least-of respect. I can see you challenge him to see himself and others in a new light." He finally pulls the knife out of Klaus' chest, and he groans.

"Agh!" Klaus yells, "A wonderful skill that I shall be counting on very shortly. You see, Niklaus will be weak as he recovers. So, watch over him and feed him, if you would. But slowly, please, and from your wrist." Elijah explains to the human.

"Don't you guys have bags of blood in storage?" Cami said unsure about how she felt on feeding him her blood. "We do, but your blood is laced with vervain. So, it will burn him. He'll ingest it slower. Perhaps you could use the time constructively, persuade him not to murder his baby sister." Elijah says then he turns to Klaus.

"Niklaus, It was not my desire to bring you pain, but I will not see you hurt Rebekah." he tells him, then he turns to Kol and Wanda "Now, I fear Sabine may be making a final move against us. I intend to find her and to end this." he tells them.

Klaus weakly whispers "Elijah. You will pay for this."

Elijah sighs and leaves the room, Wanda and Kol shortly after.

Elijah, Kol, and Wanda walk into a tunnel where Monique sits chanting but suddenly stops, "When order is restored, your kind won't be allowed in here." she said.

"Well that days not here yet is it?" Kol grinned, "I need to find Sabine. I believe she's taken someone very important to me." Elijah said.

The witch stands up and scoffs "And you thought I'd help you? Sabine is one of us, committed to the rise of the witches." she tells him.

"The only thing Sabine is committed to is the destruction of my family." Elijah said. "And why would that be a bad thing?" the witch asked.

"Like your mother, my mother was also a witch, a very powerful witch. In fact, because of my family, her power now flows through your veins. Now, once Sabine manipulates those around her, she will do what she has always done. She will jump into another body and disappear, leaving your witches powerless." Elijah explained.

"No. She has the faith. She will see our power restored." The witch confidently stated making Wanda scoff.

"There's a way of guaranteeing this. I'll also secure the safety of yourself and your kind. Here." Elijah hands her a spell "This is from my mother's grimoire. Celeste used a similar spell to body jump. If what Sabine says is true, when she sacrifices herself, all of her power will flow back into the earth. However, if she has lied and tries to take another body, this spell will deliver her to a very different destination. Now, please locate Sabine." he says then walks out.

"You know it's getting dreadful following you everywhere." Kol complained "Deal with it." Elijah said making Kol pout as Wanda laughed.

The three appear in the Bayou and spot Sabine with Hayley, Elijah speeds towards them. "Whatever she's promised you it's a lie." he said to her.

"Elijah, I'm fine, I'm okay." Hayley reassured as Wanda came up to her side, "She cannot be trusted." he said clearly talking about Celeste.

"She's the only one who can help free my pack" Hayley told him, "Do you have any idea what she has done to our family?" Elijah growled. Kol rolled his eyes.

"I know you want revenge, and come the next full moon, when I'm sure her cure works, she's all yours." Hayley told him, Elijah looked at her "Are you suggesting that we hold her, her, captive for an entire month? It would take an army." he said.

"I have one" all the wolves howled "So either help me or get out of my way." she snapped. "Elijah" Wanda said warningly not liking how he was eyeing the jar.

Elijah sped grabbing the jar and Sabine before flashing away. Hayley gasped, Kol shook his head "This family is a mess"

Hayley sat on a log with Wanda waiting and hoping Elijah would come back, Kol was whining the entire time. All the wolves had left except for Jackson.

Elijah reappeared, "You came back" Hayley smiled, "I'll always come back. Take it. It will work." Elijah smiled as Kol made a gagging face making Wanda shoot him a glare.

"Eve and I will round up as many of our people as we can. Come full moon, I can finally free my family." Hayley said as she stood and hugged Elijah, "Hayley, I wonder if they have any idea how lucky they are to have you." he said, Hayley smiled and hugged Wanda before leaving with Jackson who is in wolf form.

"Mmm. That was touching, such a chaste, little kiss. The Elijah I knew was never so meek." Celeste said as she emerged from the trees, Kol stood protectively in front of Wanda.

"Well, the Celeste I knew was never so cruel." Elijah said, Wanda stepped up "What do you want? What's your end game?" she asked eyeing the witch. Celeste smirked at Wanda "You my dear have another purpose I suggest you stick with it." she said making Wanda utterly confused on what she was talking about.

The witch looked back at Elijah "And this game never ends. We're immortal, you know." she grinned. "Then what's the point if you can't possibly win?" Elijah said.

"But, I have. You just lost the girl, the girl you never made a move on because you were so desperate to save your family. And now, your family lies in ruins." she smirked.

"Right, except I'm fine." Kol pointed out, Celeste turned to him "Oh you have no idea what's coming for you, I would have warned you to stay away from her" she said gesturing to Wanda "But who am I to tell soulmates to stay apart." she laughed.

Wanda's eyes widened at the words soulmate, she turned to Kol who had a guilty face on, he knew. "You two were made for chaos." Celeste tells them.

Elijah decides to intervene "Our family, despite what you have done and what will come, will heal." he said. "You have no idea what's coming Elijah, especially after inviting her into your pathetic family." she said gesturing to Wanda.

"What do you know about me?" Wanda questioned bitterly, very ticked off at the moment. "You will find out what you are in due time, plus" the witch now turned to Kol "You didn't think you two would stay together forever did you?" she innocently said. Kol vamped out but Elijah grabbed her by the neck first.

"Stop feeding them lies" he growled, "Oh Elijah but how do think your poor sister is?" Celeste laughed, "She's long gone" Elijah said but it was more like he was trying to convince himself.

"Is she? She's with Marcel. Now, Marcel loves Davina. Davina is dead, but she could come back under the right circumstances." The witch grinned, "They wouldn't dare." Elijah said.

"If you hadn't been so worried about Hayley, you might have figured it out sooner, but you know who did have the time to think about it? Your brother. I wonder what he'll do." Celeste taunted, Elijah bared his teeth at her.

"Do it" she dared, he bit into her neck knocking her unconscious. Elijah looked back and saw Wanda frozen in utter shock as Kol looked angered and guilty.

"You didn't tell me." she whispered. Kol walked towards her and she stepped away from him, "You didn't tell me!" she shouted now tears coming from her eyes, "Wanda I was going to tell you-" Kol started but she quickly cut him off "When did you know?" she asked him.

Kol stayed silent knowing the truth would just hurt her even more, "When did you know!" she yelled again "A little after we arrived at New Orleans." he revealed.

Wanda looked at him in hurt and betrayal "Were you never going to tell me?" she asked, Kol shook his head quickly "No, I was going to tell you but I couldn't find the right moment-" but Wanda cut him off again.

"Oh so you took that task upon yourself." she yelled. "Did you not want me to know?" she croaked.

"I didn't want to burden you even more, I thought you would completely flip out if I told you." he tried to tell her but she wasn't listening "Oh, but me finding out from a psycho witch bitch is completely fine!" she shouted.

"I never wanted you to find out this way." Kol told her, Elijah just stood there watching the scene.

"I should have known regardless of what you thought my reaction would be!" she told him, "What about you? Have you been keeping what you really are from me?" Kol asked remembering what the witch said.

"What I am? I barely even know what I am." Wanda screamed at him feeling her emotions about to explode. "Really? So your just an overpowered witch who doesn't even know how she got here?" Kol spat suddenly getting angry too.

"Oh so now this is all my fault? I don't know what I am! I don't even know how to control my powers, when I get angry I lash out and my power spirals out, when I'm strongest is when I'm in pain. I was terrified of myself because I would hurt people out of knowhere!" Wanda screamed

"I hate my magic! I h-hate it." she stutters now completely in pain, "I trusted you with everything Kol, and you couldn't even tell me the truth about us." she said her voice cracking.

"I don't control my powers. They control me." Wanda stated then flew away using her powers.

Kol stood there feeling guilty for taking his frustration out on her, "Give me strength to deal with this family." Elijah muttered as he took Celeste away.

Wanda landed in the woods feeling voices fill her mind, she felt herself getting closed in like she couldn't breathe. Voices telling her it's her fault everyone leaves, that she would be the downfall of her loved ones, and that in the end... she would be the villain of the story.

So she did the only thing she could do.

Scream.
