"After she fell asleep, I made the decision to speak with the two and find out what they were up to, but I ran after her and left them alone.

"Imad, why did you say that?"When I discovered that they were all watching sports and that dinner was ready, the elders were all dozing off, so I asked him questions.

He spoke roughly, as if he had not said anything hurtful. "I do not know," he said.

I just stared at them both as Khalid said, "That girl needs to learn lessons from her mistakes."

"I just suggested Muskan stay with your parents; she will be safe there," he said, and Imad listened silently.

"What will happen if people raise questions?"I asked, and they both looked surprised because Khalid was only concerned with her safety.

"I will marry her," Imad said, and my eyes widened. I turned to face him, but he was just staring blankly. I guess that is why Muskan ran away when she heard him say that.

They did not get along; he avoided her like the plague and had no desire to marry her. What was his plan?

Once we had dinner, my parents went back home but Muskan stayed here. Imad left right after dinner without talking about what he said earlier.

"What's my wife thinking about ?"a smile crept up on my face when I saw my husband sitting next to me after whole day. We had been really busy with uncle and his daughter.

"Nothing,"I replied and he looked at me but I looked away shyly.

"Did you check if both of them slept?"I asked him and he nodded.

"You are always worried about everyone what about you did you eat properly?did you miss me?"he asked and I wondered what happened to him all of sudden being so cheesy what happened to the so called Khalid I met some years back and the one who left me I always wanted to ask him about why broke my heart.

"I had dinner and with you,"I told him lately and he just shook his head.

"Why did you suggest Muskan to live with my parents?"I asked but he didn't reply.

"Just doing some good deed this time,"he said with a smile and hugged me.

"I always thought you to be so arrogant cold hearted you had broken my heart ,"I said in sad voice no idea where the courage came from but the good thing was he listened .

"I am sorry for all those years when someone put some sense into me and realized how much you mean to me no matter how much I pushed you away. I came back immediately I missed you and thank you for forgiving me," he said. I did not realize I was crying until a drop slipped from my eye.

"You filled my life with colors. I was all alone, the people I thought were mine were not even mine, but I accepted them as mine, it did not matter, my life was my business, I was afraid of falling and losing someone because even Muskan broke my heart," the great Khalid the CEO was sharing his feelings with me, he was showing me his other side," I feel like the happiest and luckiest woman.

"I will always be by your side as long as Allah has planned," I told him, pleased that we were comfortable around each other.

It is been so many days since I wanted to tell him something, but I was worried he would not agree. "I want to tell you something," I said, waiting for his response. I hope he understands and does not get upset with me because I just saw the advertisement in the magazine and the deadline was approaching.

"Please do not be angry with me," I repeated, but he withdrew his hand and waited.

"Speak up," I uttered quietly.

"I am paying attention," he said in a somewhat aloof tone. What a romantic mood-killer.

When I eventually said, "I applied for a job," Khalid got up and just stared at me.

"What?" he asked, his expression showing surprise. I just waited tensely for him to respond and to say something more. any indication of comfort.
