She's bad news(Edited)
Mrs Mariam;
It would not even make sense to doubt him—even if he had dated a woman—because I trust him far too much. She must be his client, so why should I jump to judgment and judge him?
"What are you considering?"His deep voice caused me to search for any hint on his face, but he was still waiting for a response.
I simply chose not to say anything more because I did not want us to quarrel over pointless details that would later lead to arguments and fights.
Please, Mariam, handle this with care.
"I apologize for not being able to go out as planned," he said, but when I smiled back at him, he just looked at me as if I was crazy today. Though it hurt, there is no reason for me to start a fight when I can make this moment truly memorable.
"Why bring up the subject again when we are enjoying our best moments here alone and uncle is sleeping, even if we could not leave as you had planned?"I asked him; I knew he was wrong, but instead of ignoring me completely, he even apologized.
"How was dinner?"As I was clearing the table, I asked him, and he silently assisted me. It was obvious from the look on his face that he was worried about something, but why was he embarrassed to tell me?
Accepting an apology or asking for one will not make you younger; life is too short to waste time on such things.
"As usual, it was excellent; you are among the best cooks," he said, taking a seat beside me.
He apologised, saying, "I want to share something with you, but please do not be mad." I reasoned that it would be better to hear from him than anyone else.
"Yes," I muttered as I finished cleaning the utensils, then I wiped my hands. We both went to sit in our rooms.
I was about to fix our bed when his phone rang, so I looked away. He grabbed my wrist and pushed me back onto his lap, causing me to frown. Always rings at the wrong time.
"Stay with me," he whispered, and I considered it for a moment before giving in because he wanted to talk to me about something, possibly about my job.
"Why don't you pick up your call?I told him, "It must be important," and cast a sidelong glance at his ringing phone.
"Hellow," he said, but his expression turned sour and he seemed confused.
"I will be there tomorrow but please understand I can not come now because I am busy," he lied. Did he want to spend time with me?
What shall I do?Who was he talking to and refusing to meet?
Without even looking at me, he locked his phone and stormed into the bathroom, leaving me to stare at it.
The phone rang again He was busy taking a shower, so when I picked it up, a strange girl's voice welcomed me.
I felt lost and depressed, and a sudden unease developed in my heart.
She stopped talking for a moment after I said, "Hellow," realizing it was not the person she wanted to talk to.
Remain composed.
She told me, "Please let Khalid know that it is important and that he should meet me; my name is Mumtaz," and I consented.
Please, not another girl,
I waited for him with the phone by his bed.
When he noticed that my mood had changed, he asked, "What?"
I calmly told him, "Please go at least meet her and she said it is important," but he clenched his fists and gave me a glare.
"I am not leaving," he declared resolutely. What was wrong with him now?
"He is refusing to meet the girl and it is all about work, so maybe this is a big deal?" I gave him a thoughtful smile, but all he did was turn away as I fixed my gaze on his back.
Really, what was wrong with him? "She said it is about an important deal and you have denied meeting her."
He was losing control and appeared enraged. "You do not know the whole story that is what I was going to explain to you about, damn it," he said.
I tried to calm him down by stroking his shoulders, but he dismissed my attempts. "Calm down."
"You wanted to work?"Then this is a challenge: I am not going to meet her and make her think I am going to meet her for her hotel, but you are going," he said as if it was not a big deal. How will I handle this?
"She is bad news," he said quietly, but I could hear and my eyes widened.
"Well, your idea is not bad, but you will have to help me, my dear husband," I said with a smile, and he smirked as if he had figured it out. I admire and respect his decision to avoid dating women.
"She tried to flirt, which was annoying, so I declined her offer, but I can not wait to see her reaction," he said with a devilish smirk.
"Let us teach you the basics," he said proudly, and I joined him as he opened his laptop.
