I took a cup of coffee on my right and drank a sip of coffee with less sugar because I only took one tablespoon of sugar, and all memories came flooding back like the flow of a river, and I wished I had never met some people. I was sitting in my favorite chair on the balcony of my room, looking out at the breathtaking view of Karachi and how peaceful the night was tonight.

Every individual in our lives has a purpose, sent by Allah.

My passion is my work, and I adore it. My world is my business because I wanted to distract myself from everyone. I do not care that people have labeled me a cold-hearted, haughty, and ruthless young bachelor because they do not even know my backstory.

Life is not a bed of roses. Experiencing grief can make it difficult to forgive others. Sometimes I prefer to be alone.

I, Khalid Hussein, had a wonderful life until everything changed, and as I got older, I came to understand that it was all a lie.

I will do anything in my power to help my only best friend and his family, whom I adore.

I was distracted from my thoughts when I checked my phone and saw the caller's name, which made me smile.

Saying "Assalamualeikum," he spoke from the opposite side.

I said "Waleikumsalam," and waited for his answer.

"You have returned to Pakistan after five years, so let us celebrate at my house tonight." Even before he asked, I was considering how I would respond to her after all these years. Why was he inviting me when I was trying my hardest to avoid her, and I could not even say no to him?

Oh Allah, please help me.

"Sure, tonight it is, and how is everyone?" I asked him, hoping he would respond indirectly about her, but he likes to tease me.

"My parents are doing well," he said. He was having too much fun, because I swear I heard him laugh.

"I hope to see you tonight, insha'Allah," he said, and we continued discussing business until we ended the call.

Ya Allah, I hope I did not make a big mistake.

Will they be reunited after so many years? Will she forgive him? Will he seek forgiveness or stay away from her?
