Lachlan's P.O.V

"I-It's nothing guys" I say with a smile on my face... but even I knew that it looked forced. I quickly looked away, towards the forest behind us, my force smile turning into a realistic frown. How can I tell them that their ball of sunshine... and trouble maker... is not the same anymore. I couldn't do that to them.. it wasn't worth it. 

"Come on Lachlan, tell us...Something is different and we all can tell" says Jerome, calmly. I sighed, he was write. I am good with with hiding my felling behind a facade but I guess not to my friends... my old friends at that... no not friends, family. 

Sighing, I get ready for a long talk.

"Guess you guys better get comfortable.. you asked for it" I say...

//FLASHBACK//

My back was turned to the orphanage, the only home that I ever knew, and my face facing towards the real world. I looked back one more time, reminding myself the promise we made to each other. We will see each other again. 

Time to go and look for my parents...

It has been a month since I left the others, and I finally got a clue to were my parents were. Apparently, they live in a small cottage in the forest. Weird, considering everyone lives close together since the mobs number started coming.. but I didn't question it. 

Another week, and I am at the door to my parents house. I was exited and scared... they did give me up after all...BUT I wouldn't judge another person until I meet them myself.  

Again, another week later. My parents accepted me with warm open arms. They said that they didn't give me up, I was taken away from them. I'm so happy... but somethings different... they're acting weirder by the day.

I'm scared. It has been a week or maybe a month... I don't know anymore. It's dark... theirs only one torch lighting up the whole entire place. I'm underground somewhere...chained...bloody...bruised...why did my parents do this to me? 

I've finally escaped...

//END FLASHBACK//

I smiled..."When I escaped... I learned the reason I was taken away from my parents was because the were.." I stopped and made the "coo-koo" sign with my hands. 

"After that... I was forced into a slave to some people because of my parents dept. I don't know for what, but it must of been something big as I was forced to train..and to kill" I stopped and sighed. Flashbacks coming back to me of my brutal training that happened. 

"I was forced to be a assassin.. to kill for them..." I said than smirked..."I guess not 'forced' to do anything... I could of stopped but I was too afraid for my own, pathetic, life.." I say as I trailed off.. leaving a heavy silence in the air. I looked down, my hair shading the sadness in my eyes. I was waiting... expecting them.. to lash out at me. To call me weak, pathetic, for all I have done. What happened next, surprised me.  

"Lachlan.. YOU IDIOT! You couldn't do anything to stop them... you were write the FIRST time, THEY forced you to do that!" Yelled Preston, surprising everyone. I looked up to see him running towards me, engulfing me into a big hug. This time I didn't flinch. 

"Little lachy..guess that nickname doesn't suit you anymore? Your taller than all of us now" says Preston, emotion filled in his voice. I was just standing their.. shocked with every thing that just happened. 

"Preston's write, Lachlan... You have no blame to what happened at all" Says Mitch, coming to join the hug that originated from Preston.   

"I approve of that statement" says Rob, fallowing right behind Mitch.

"Agreed" Vik said, joining in on the hug. Jerome was the last one left. Everyone stared, waiting for his response.

"You big goofbag, you are of COURSE not at fault" Jerome said, a big smile forming on his face, running to me and the others, finishing the group hug.

A/N: I UPDATED!!! I swear it wasn't because I am lazy... well that's partly true.. but also because a lot of sh*t has been going on, but I'm hanging in their! Anyways, I am going to be updating the other book and starting book two of the Six Lost Heroes. Until next time, see you peeps.
