Chapter 11

"That said, I don't think I can easily get across the giant rift between myself and the sidewalk across the street. Not accounting for the several-story drop " Wade commented, approaching the edge of the building to look down, arms crossed in a very typical man pose.

Peter rolled his eyes. The guy didn't need to say anything for Peter to drag him across the street, he just wanted the attention.

"We need to go if we're going to see what they're up to." Peter sighed and reached over to pull Wade to firmly to his side. People were honestly hard to carry without being invasive, making all of this annoying. Carrying people at his side like a damsel meant he had to be incredibly careful not to collapse their ribcages while he held them. He wished he could people like a baby, back against his arm, hand hooked on their leg. It would be more comfortable for everyone involved but then he'd be called the city molester if his boss had anything to say about it. And at the end of the day, he would rather be the Rib Crusher over The Molestor.

"Well, aren't you grabby?" Wade muttered nervously as Peter shot a taunt web out to what looked like a fair swing point.

"Shut up," is all he had to say before he dragged the man over the edge.

Deadpool let out a very concerned "Shit," as the air wooshed past. Peter tugged on his webbing, sending them in a wide swing around the corner of the building. Deadpool reflexively grabbed onto him as inertia pulled him away from Peter. He wasn't at risk of falling but that didn't stop him from gripping onto Peter in a free expression of fear. He was satisfied with that.

Peter let go of his web and dropped down to the ground a little ways behind the men, having to compensate for Wade's height advantage. Wade's feet hit the ground first because he wasn't braced enough to take the impact of the landing. If Peter hadn't held him up he'd have smashed his face into the concrete and probably sent Peter's watch into another fit. Peter could imagine the sting running through the man's feet and legs though.

"Let's do that again!" Deadpool said, trying to overpower his shaky reaction with whatever this was, completely unaware of the gun that had been pointed their way.

"Maybe later." Peter muttered, eyeing the gun as he supported the Mercenary who stepped away on unsteady legs.

"Sounds like a good deal Honey butt." The Merc added aggressively, voice shaking. Of the four men in the alley, three of them were unconvinced by the show. Wade seemed to ignore this as he looked up at the two men in question, bouncing into action before Peter could do anything about it.

The man flung himself at the guy with the gun, sending the weapon to the ground as he twisted the young man's wrist. Peter flinched at the sound of bone grinding just before a loud snap followed by the man's yowl. Wade turned, using the man's weight in his arm to give himself some momentum to shove his elbow into the other guy's face, letting go of the crying one upon impact.

Everyone was on the ground before Peter even had the time to recover from the shock of being called a butt. A honey butt. He scowled when it finally did load through his skull. "Deadpool," he warned.

The man cast him a mild glance before pulling out a small knife. Giving the tiny thing a fanciful flip before he knelt down next to the downed men, quickly carving an X into each individual before Peter could close the distance between them to pull the merc away.

"What are you doing?" he snapped

" Keeping track of second chances."

Peter shook his head, baffled. "You can't just cut into people, that reflects on me!"

"Why? You getting jealous,"

Peter stared at the man unable to believe what was spewing from the man's mouth. He couldn't be serious?

"That isn't a No." Deadpool hummed happily.

Peter burned red with anger under his mask, biting his tongue. "Move them out to the street," he growled and reached down to grab the one without the broken arm. He didn't want anything to do with that injury.

"Are you saying you are?"

He ignored Wade, stringing each of the men up, scribbling a note out to explain the situation, mindful of the one's broken wrist during the whole process. Peter cast Wade a disappointed glare before sticking the note to the chest of one of the black-clad men.

" Do we get to swing again?" Deadpool broke the silence with an innocently sweet tone. It pissed Peter off.

He turned and swiftly closed the distance between them, grabbing a fistful of the man's suit to tug him down to his level. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Admiring how your suit hugs you so nicely."

"Wade," Peter hissed, grip tightening on the man's clothes. "Stop playing games."

"You said you always give people a second chance right? Well, that's what I'm doing. I'm giving them a second chance. "

"Why would you cut them?"

"So I know who has had their chance and spent it."

"And happens when or if you see them again." Peter knew the answer, but he'd make the merc say it to his face.

"You'll have to see."

" Deadpool, if you kill anyone I'll personally-"

"Fear works just as well as death. " Wade interrupted. "Fear slowly tries to kill you and others pick up on it. That could spread the message. You're a Hero aren't you? You want to make the world a better place? I know I'm not a Hero, but I know it'll help. Doing this." He nodded toward the fresh wounds. Peter tried to not focus on the blood running down the arm of one man.

"I may not be doing this in a way you like, but I didn't kill them. Would have hoped maybe that would please you enough." Wade met him straight on, setting his boundary and standing behind it.

"If you come along again, you're not allowed to maim."

"My babies are for killing. Not playing. And that's a scratch, not a maim."

Peter nodded slowly. He didn't like it but he'd agree to the meeting point. Based on Deadpools track record it was a fair outcome.

' Right...'

Peter decided that this would be a good time to move on and try to do what this night was meant to be for, learning about the man.

"So you mentioned you had a healing factor. How does that work? If you don't mind me asking." He released the man and nodded towards the end of the alley, suggesting they get ta move on before police noticed something.

Deadpool played with his hands. "Well..."

Original Note:

Hey guys! Hope you like the update. Sorry if you guys are thinking that maybe it should be Harder for Wade to control himself, but truly I don't believe it would be utterly hard for him, he'd just have to remind himself of what he's doing and Spideys presence I think is enough to do that.

Remember to leave your comments and opinions!!! And this isn't edited, ( not that any of it has been,) but tell me if there is a typo or what ever. Thanks
