-runaway-

Daryl explained to Glenn that Shane was hurting her, nothing more, nothing about her past, nothing about where she was getting the bruises from.

They had a plan; they would get Theo to tell Glenn everything Daryl had explained, hoping to reduce the risk of breaking his promise.

Everyone came to a stop.

Again.

"I think we are going to have to leave that truck and drain the other cars. We will have one car with Carl, Carol, Sophia Lori, and me, the rest of us in the RV. Daryl, you have your bike," Rick explained.

"Is she awake yet?" Daryl asked, knowing that the vehicle change meant Shane would travel with her.

"Yeah," Rick told him. Daryl wasted no more time talking and walked into the RV, pulling out the last water from his bag.

"Hey," she smiled, sitting up.

"How are you feeling?" He asked her, handing her the water, only for her to push it away.

"Damn it, woman, take the drink", Daryl snapped, not to be mean, but for her to know he wasn't taking it back, she rolled her eyes before taking it from him.

He took a seat on the side of the bed.

"You want something?" She snapped back, smiling as she couldn't contain her hard act with Daryl.

"You coming on the bike with me?" Daryl said as she smiled back.

"My dad ain't going to let that happen", she said, finishing the water.

"I will talk to him" Daryl nodded at her leaving the RV.

"Rick", Daryl said as he shoved his head to the side, indicating he wanted to talk to him privately.

He put down the radio, which he always kept on him. The others were sorting out the fuel, meaning everyone else was busy.

"I want Theo to ride the bike with me; she gets fresh air and has had the rest of my water. I think it's best for her", Daryl tried to come up with, but he couldn't exactly say the real reason for it; Daryl didn't want her to be in that RV with Shane.

"I don't think it's a good idea, Daryl. What if she begins to feel dizzy and ends up falling off?" Rick asked, concerned about his daughter.

"She said she would tell me beforehand", Daryl made up. "Also, she isn't stupid, she knows her limits, plus she told me she used to ride bikes all the time" Daryl defended.

Rick looked around for a moment before looking back at him.

"What's the deal?" He asked as Daryl looked at Rick in confusion.

"Huh?" Daryl looked at him, having no idea what he was talking about.

"You two dating? Is there anything I need to know?" He asked sternly.

Daryl stepped back in shock before laughing.

"Not at all, friends, that's it" He put him straight, although it was definitely more than friends.

Rick nodded slowly at him.

"Alright, but the second she feels dizzy," Rick said sternly, pointing at Daryl.

"We stop" Daryl began, cutting him off.

Rick nodded before walking back to the others.

Daryl looked around before he saw Glenn.

He walked over to him, grabbing him off to the side.

"I'm bringing Theo with me; just keep an eye on Shane," Daryl said sternly.

He nodded as Daryl went to get Theo.

Glenn nodded, waiting for Theo to leave the RV.

"Hey, stranger", she smiled, stopping to speak to Glenn as Daryl sorted the bike out for them.

"Hey, I need to say something to you, and you can't get annoyed; I just need you to be honest", He whispered.

Theo looked at Glenn, confused.

"You try to cover the bruises, but I've seen them. I know someone is hurting you here. Please be honest with me. You have my word; I won't say anything." She looked around, frustrated, before closing the small door that separated them from the others.

"What did Daryl say?" She whispered, walking closer to Glenn,

"Nothing, why?" He lied, but Glenn was a terrible liar; she would see right through him.

She sighed again before looking at Glenn,

"Well, I know Daryl has said something; you're a terrible liar," she began, looking at Daryl.

Glenn's face said it all.

"I'm going to kick his ass again" she snapped, rubbing her head.

"No, no, you'll get me killed too, but I forced him to tell me; believe me, it took a lot of nagging" Glenn tried to make her less angry.

"Yes, someone is hurting me, that someone, who I am guessing you already know is..." she began looking out the door.

"Shane" Glenn finished for her.

She nodded at him.

"I'm not going to tell anyone. Daryl said that he wouldn't tell me anything else; I don't even know what else there is, but he said something like, what I know, isn't it, so don't think I know everything..." Glenn began; he didn't know what Daryl was talking about when he said that, but it wasn't good from the look on Theo's face.

"That's Good. I'll tell you the rest another time." She smiled as she began walking away.

"But you are okay, right?" Glenn asked her.

He loved Theo, not in a way where a husband loves his wife, but loves her as his best friend. He wished they had known each other before all this; either way, their friendship turned into a brother-and-sister bond, which they both needed.

"I will be," she smirked, holding his hand.

Glenn kissed her on the head before leaving her to join Daryl.

Before getting to Daryl, she heard the RV start and then fail.

"Radiators gone!" Dale yelled as everyone sighed.

"It's alright. Everyone split up. Check these cars for supplies. We can buy some time," Rick suggested, as everyone nodded.

"Are you alright?" a southern voice asked from before her, making her jump from her daydream.

"You asshole, you told Glenn", She yelled but not loud enough for anyone else to hear.

"Theo..." he tried to start, but Theo had left.

"Woman", he started after her, grabbing her so she turned to face him.

"I didn't tell him. He worked it out before I said anything. I didn't tell him about when you were younger, just about now," he explained. He felt guilty but knew Glenn was trustworthy and cared about Theo.

She looked at him for a moment before sighing.

"I did it because Glenn cares about you. He can help. This way, there are two sets of eyes on Shane, so he can't even think about trying anything again," Daryl explained to Theo.

"Fine," she snapped, "But you say anything—" She began but was cut off by Daryl.

"I won't, not without you wanting me to," he sincerely put.

She looked him in the eyes, she believed him, but she was still pissed that he had told Glenn, but she guessed he was right.

She turned around to walk away when she was suddenly grabbed and pushed.

"What the?" but was cut off by Daryl covering her mouth with his hand and shoving her under a car.

She breathed out, annoyed, before noticing what was happening.

Many walkers had snuck up on them, too many for them to take out. So they were hiding under the cars.

She looked at Daryl, but he wouldn't look at her; his gaze went elsewhere.

She looked in the direction where he was watching to see T-Dog struggling badly. From the looks of it, he had hurt his arm and was losing a lot of blood.

"Stay here, okay. Do not go anywhere", Daryl whispered to her very quietly; in fact, she believed he might not have even said that.

She watched closely as Daryl left her to help T-Dog.

But as she waited, she saw Sophia panicking as she was left alone under the car.

Sophia slipped out from under the car, running away from a walker.

Theo couldn't stay and wait, so she ran after her.
