"And the winner of this year's X Factor is... Matt Terry!" 

His face broke into such a surprised state and in his state of enthusiasm he threw his arms around me and spun me around in the air. 

I remember that day. It was one of my favorites, next to me winning the year before.

"Ellie... El! Helloooo?" Simon's voice broke me out of my memories.

"Yeah, what's up?" 

"There's some people I want you to meet. You know One Direction, right?" 

"That famous boy and of yours? Aren't they on hiatus?"

"Only for a little longer."

"Alright. Let's go meet them."

"Boys, this is Ellie. Maybe you remember her from during the finals last year when you did a duet with her."

"Long time no see, beautiful." Harry smirked.

"Harry." I said without emotion.

"Ouch, Haz. Better stick with older women." Louis jokes.

"Maybe I should start with younger women. It's about time for a change of pace."

"Play nice, Harry. I haven't brought you here to flirt with Ellie."

"Right. That's for afterwards." He winked.

"So what did you need us here for?" Niall broke the flirty atmosphere.

"Since Zayn left last March, the band's been more... mature. But what girls have always liked about you is your level of immature fun. So I've decided to ask you if I could add another, younger member to the band."

"Ok... like who?" Liam asked.

"Like Ellie."

A chorus of "what" and "seriously" circled around the room, coming from the boys and I. 

"Hear me out boys, she's young, beautiful, talented and as a girl she would make the group relatable to everyone. And we could get boys interested in the group too." Simon's explained.

"Let's do it." Niall agreed.

"Are you serious?" Liam asked.

"This isn't what I meant when I said I wanted to start my career, Mama Si." I complained.

"But do you want to start on your own or start with a group that's already so high on the charts?"

"I want to earn that myself, not use what they've earned." I said, getting angry. 

"Ellie, he's got a good plan here." Harry offered.

"How?"

"He's right about a new viewpoint with fans. And you ARE younger, making us more like we used to be." Harry explained.

"I'm 20 and you're still 22. It's only a 2 year difference. Just the same as you and Louis."

"But Niall and Liam are between us at 23."

"Will you do it or not, Ellie?" Simon asked.

"I guess if you boys want me to. Unanimously."

"All in favor?" Niall asked? All the boys raised their hands. 

"It's settled then!" Simon declared. "Ellie Rose is part of One Direction!"
