I zoomed in past the security guards at the entrance and parked right in front of the house entrance. I went out of the car without killing the engine, running, entering the house. Mother and Father was having tea in the living room watching the television.
"Hello Mom, Dad!" I yelled greeting time and climbed up the main staircase of the house, running towards my room. I could hear Mother's voice faintly, calling me, while I was running. Ignoring her, I opened the door knob, and ran into my closet, panting.
The box! Sunshine box.
Closing the door of my bedroom. I descended the stairs.
"Ok-Seon, bring me a glass of water!" Mother instructed the help to get a glass of water. Once she got the glass of water, she approached me and stopping me from running.
"Son, breathe in, breathe out!" She mimicked the action for me to follow. She secured her left hand palming my lower lips, and brought the glass to my mouth using her right hand, and said, "Here, drink this." I chugged down the water and thankfully my breathing was slowing down.
"Tell me, son, why are you running?" Mom asked with Dad standing beside her curious.
"I tell you later, once I get this," I showed her the box, "sorted, today!" I continued.
"Finally, you are close to finding who she is huh, son?" Father smirked, but Mother was confused.
"Yes Dad. I'm going now, love you both!" waving them, I ran out of the mansion towards my car.
I could her Mother asked Father what was it about when I was on my way out of the house, running. I guess father would explain to her a bit about this investigation. Thank you, Dad!
I pressed the accelerator and headed straight to the bookstore cafe, hoping that she would be there!

Arriving at the parking lot nearby the bookstore cafe, I killed the car engine. I looked at the front mirror, straightening up my hair. Lucky for me, I always kept a small bottle of my favourite perfume in my car, Artisan by John Varvatos. I spritzed the perfume onto my wrist and behind my ears. Grabbing my jacket, my favourite book together with the box, I went out the my car. Securely locking the car, I took a look on my reflection on the car, checking out my appearance, before meeting her.
Entering the cafe, I saw a lady standing a the front counter talking to the barista, smiling. Her head turned towards my direction, after she heard the doorbells chimed.
"Hello. Carrie right? Lynnia's friend." I said as I entered the bookstore cafe.
"Yes, I am. Carrie. How can I help you? Hoseok right? Unfortunately, you've just missed Lynnia by around ten minutes. She will be here in around two hours or so. Got some errands to do."
"Oh, it's okay."
"I saw the book in your hand. Returning it?"
"Umm, you could say that. Can we talk?" I asked softly. "Join me? At my booth?"
"Okay, I'll asked the barista to get us coffee. I'm sure they will prepare your usual." She said smiling and went to the barista to order coffee. After getting the barista to prepare us a drink, she gestured me to walk to the booth.

"Let me reintroduce myself. I am Jung Hoseok, of Jung Hotels. We didn't get a proper introduction before." I extended my hand.
"Hello again, I am Carrie Kim. Lynnia's friend." She reached for my hand, smiling.
"Why didn't you tell me before?" She was confused of my question.
"Lynnia introduced me before to you. You remember? During the launching party?" I smugged at her remark. Her forehead creased, bewildered at my behaviour.
"This, will remind you, Carrie. Take a look at it." I gave her the box. She opened the box and took out the green coloured notes, but her acts remained compose. I was left agitated, but I control my emotions.
"So?" She asked. I, then, paraded the book in front of her. "Destiny Overruled! Written by you, am I right?" She affirmed to my statement leaving me grinning.
"What is my book has got to do with these immature notes, written by a high school kids?" she pointed towards the notes.
"Kerria H. Does it rang a bell? Or should I say, Kerria Hyacinth, the author of the book, also the owner of this," I twirled my fingers up in the air, and continued "this Hyacinth bookstore cafe."
Checkmate!
Her eyes widens!
There you are, soon to be Mrs. Sunshine!
That's the look I'm looking for!
Cute!
"No, you have the wrong person. It is not me. I'm sorry." She stood up from her seat. I grabbed her wrist when she was about to leave me. I saw tears were pooling in her eyes, on the verge of falling.
Don't cry, my darling!
"It is you! Hear me out. You left me without the green notes for one and a half years. Only to know that you have moved to Singapore for your grandmother's medical treatment. I missed getting those notes everyday."
"But--" I cut her off. A tear dropped onto my hand.
"But I was stupid for not searching for you, and for not replying you." I stood up from my seat while my hand still grabbing her wrist lightly. Another tear dropped. I hate seeing her cry.
"You came back to Korea, five years ago, with Lynnia. I'm sorry about your grandmother." I hug her. She leaned her head on my chest, sobbing. My hand patted her head, consoling her.
"It's okay. It's been six years since she's gone." She said, with a soft melodic voice, with her head still nuzzling my chest. My shirt was wet from her sobbing, but I don't mind. It's hers anyway. I am all hers.
I made promises to myself to get to know her more and always be by her side. Forever and always, together!
Wrapping my arm on the shoulder, I lead her, still sobbing, back to the seat. We sat together on the love seat with my arm still wrapping her shoulders and her head leaning towards my shoulder.
"I-I still missed you, you know? You had never left my mind, not once!" She finally confessed, my heart literally exploded with joy! I wiped the tears from her cheeks telling her that I am truly sorry. I showed her the ring on my finger. Her ring.
"I thought I have lost the ring! I was given by my grandmother. I cried for months for the ring. The last thing I remember, I need to move to Singapore! Thank you!" She played the ring on my finger and kissed my cheeks. I froze. "I-I'm sorry. I was excited." She smiled shyly. I wanted to tell her, "It's okay. You can do anything, to me, my darling", but she was still amazed by the ring that she thought it was lost.
"You baked delicious cupcakes, you know? I love it! I could eat it everyday!" She turned her head to me, and said "When did you eat my cupcake?"
I couldn't resist the urge of pinching her cheeks. "Your mom came and sent the cupcakes to my parents' house, and you a nice Audi. One of my favourite colour, red!"
"That was you? In the Lamborghini? Mrs Jung is your mother? I mean, of all the Jungs out there, she is your mom?" She was stunned. "I even turned down my mother proposal to introduce you to me!" She said. I threw my head to the back, laughing.
"Why are you so cute, my darling?" I asked, pinching both her cheeks. She pouted.
"I have finally found you, Carrie Kim, or should I say, Kim Haebum?"
💕THE END 💕
