CHRIS ACTUALLY CRINGED WHEN Harper squealed as her phone signaled she had a text. He figured it was Sebastian and Ivona when she grinned and replied back, then ran to the window like his nephews would when they knew their uncle Chris was coming home. He actually thought it was rather amusing to see his best friend get so excited.

However, when a toddler started crying, he left his post and went to care for the children they were meant to watch. He figured that she'd stay there until they arrived. Chris was correct, and when the sound of a car pulled up in front of his house, the children and Harper ran to the door and the yard before the two guests could even get out of the house.

With Nadia Rose on his hip, he stood on the porch and watched the scene unfold before him. A smile grew on his lips as he was able to witness his best friend's happiness.

"Seb!" Harper exclaimed, approaching the man as he approached her. His smile matched hers, and she began to run, running to his embrace. Her laugh filled everyone's ears as he hugged her and spun her around. He eventually sat her safely on the ground. "I missed you."

"I missed you too, dragă." He whispered, holding the brunette close to him.

It took them a minute to split, but when they did, Harper finally greeted Ivona, the younger of the two Stans. Chris finally stepped off the porch and joined the group, pulling Sebastian into a side hug since he still had a child in his arms.

"Good to see ya, man." Chris greeted, patting Seb's back.

He laughed, "It's good to see you too, brother." He glanced to the child in Chris' and gave a playful smirk. "Hope the child isn't yours, Evans. Did a one night stand drop her off?" He teased.

Chris scoffed, pushing on his shoulder. He quickly glanced at Harper as she attempted to take the child from his arms. He willingly gave Nadia over to her aunt, then returned to Sebastian, crossing his arms and glaring at the Romanian.

"No, ya big dummy." Chris answered, "She's my niece, Avalon's little girl."

Seb nudged his shoulder, "I'm only joking. Ava and Brooklyn definitely have adorable children."

"You and Harper would have adorable children," Chris teased, but quickly shot back with another comment. "If you ever grew the balls to ask her out."

Sebastian glanced over to Harper and his sister, seeing the two laughing as they caught up and also kept the children entertained. But of course, it was cold and as soon as the youngest started shivering, they ushered the children into the house. Chris and Sebastian followed, but it felt like his heart was going to beat out of his chest.

"She doesn't like me like that, Chris." Sebastian whispered to Chris once the women left the room. He frowned, "She's never shown an interest in me."

Chris shook his head and smirked his way. "Make a move, she has feelings. Trust me, man, she tells me everything."
