      There was something that pained Tom whenever Rosé cried in front of him. It was almost a mixture really. A part of him felt honored in a way that this strong girl was so willing to break in front of him, gave him this confident boost that he could take care of her as well. That this friendship isn't completely one sided with her always saving him. But there was also this sense of bitterness that resonated in him, this raw anger that wanted nothing more than to claw out of the surface and release all hell.

      "You're mad because I didn't tell you, right? That's why you're crying," he was panicking, and she knew. Tom had his hands in his hair as he paced back and forth. He knew it was only a matter of time before her rage would catch up and that disappointment will soon distance them. "I know this is like the third time I hid something from you. But I'm sorry! I just don't want you to worry about me — "

      "Tom I worry when you even walk up the stairs," Rosé interrupted with a soft giggle. She wiped her eyes of her tears. "God I don't remember this friendship involving a lot of crying. And if there was crying it was usually because I did something to you."

      "I think you were honestly the reason why I developed strong bones as I grew up," Tom attempted to joke. Still, he hated this, this teetering. This is his best friend for God's sake. He shouldn't be nervous around her. "You mad?"

      "Oh beyond mad. Guess what I'm bringing back to this fun friendship of ours: the three days of Hell."

      "Yeah — yeah I don't see how that's fun for me?"

      "We mustn't change tradition, Tommy Boy."
