Chapter 149: Trapped A Disney Part 2
(Buckle up everyone, this entire chapter is a roller coaster of emotions lol.)
Anyway, on with the story.

Before Peter could even tell Harley not to open the door, he opened it, and a man with an intimidating demeanor about him stood on the welcome mat. Peter knew exactly who he was, his name was Quentin Beck, one of the, if not most infamous and envious bounty hunter the kingdom of Alena had ever seen. Peter knew his parents sent the briskly man to find him, and he'd be lying to god if he wasn't terrified of what they'd say when he got back.
"Hello, your highness." The man greeted, much to Peter's dismay, Harley looked to his friend, obviously showing an expression of confusion on why this man was spouting nonsense. Beck smirked darkly at the young teen, he was definitely getting paid a good sum of pounds for finding the prince. "Peter, what is he talking about?" And of course, Beck spoke first so Peter couldn't explain himself.
"You didn't tell your commoner friend your true identity, your highness? That's a shame, that he had to find out this way. You're coming with me, your parents are very worried." Peter loathed this man, he was ruining everything, all so he could be paid for a heavy amount of money.
Hot tears began spilling from his eyes, his parents would never understand, how could they? Their whole relationship was an arranged marriage, He didn't want to go back to that life, he wanted to be with Harley and Claire, he wanted to wake up and work in the town, he wanted to be a kid for the little time he had left. Was that selfish?
He felt like it was, he hated having extremely high expectations for the life he could never have. He didn't want to be the prince who refused to be a proper king for his citizens. But he also didn't want to be a person who gave up on his dreams, even if it was as small as wanting to live in the town with a normal and average life.
"P... Peter? Harley? What's going on?" Claire had come out of her room, somewhat hearing the conversation from the hallway. Harley glared back at Quentin, ready to take him down by any means necessary, he even warned the man. Harley's eyes narrowed, "If you want to get to Peter you're going to have to get through me first." He said, stepping in front of Peter, holding his arm out protectively.
Quentin sighed, taking out a sharp blade, "If you don't move out of my way, you will get hurt, kid. I don't care what happens to you, I'm here for the prince." He said, guestering to Peter, but Harley didn't budge, Peter then gripped his arm tightly.
"Harley, please, don't. I have to go with him. I'm sorry I lied to you both, the truth is, I'm the Crown Prince of Alena. The reason I didn't tell you that was because I didn't want to risk being found." Beck smirked, knowing he got the young prince to surrender. Harley began to back down, turning to Peter, and seeing his glossed over eyes, his heart broke at that moment.
Claire then came running and hugged Peter, repeatedly begging him not to leave them. Unfortunately, fate would have other plans for the prince, and after their tearful goodbyes, Peter and Quentin left. Heading back to the palace, of course Peter was dreading the conversation that would take place with his parents. They'd most likely scold him for this whole ordeal, telling him how 'worried' they were for his safety.
Peter knew that was a bold faced lie, because if they cared, they would've been looking for him. Not Beck, but because they cared more about their precious reputation, than their own son gave Peter more of a reason to loathe them. Peter came up with a saying, "I may be your flesh and blood, but I am not your son."

Once Quentin walked Peter into the palace his parents were already waiting for them. They ran forward and pulled him into a crushing hug, but Peter felt numb to it all, everything felt so superficial he couldn't even fathom it. He knew once people dispersed he'd be getting a stern talking to, and couldn't wait for it. (Note his sarcasm.)
King Richard paid Beck and then he and his wife Mary took Peter to the palace study. Shutting the door behind them, Peter stood in front of his parents, and compared to his father, he felt so small. Shrinking every time his father took a step towards him, no matter how terrified he was, he was waiting for the yelling to start. Eventually, it came.
"What were you thinking Peter? You could've gotten yourself hurt!" Richard scolded.
Peter felt like he was losing his voice, but he forced himself to speak. "That's the thing, I didn't get hurt. I'm fine Father."
Richard sighed, pinching the crease of his nose, that was a sign he was angry. Quickly losing all patience, Peter couldn't stand it, why was he getting angry? In his eyes he did nothing wrong, then Mary spoke up. "We were worried about you Peter!"
Peter shouldn't have, but he scoffed, tired of holding his tongue and staying silent. "That's rich, coming from the two people who are more worried about their reputation than their own people!" He argued back.
Richard scowled at Peter, angrily biting back. "Don't you dare take that tone with your mother and I boy!"
"I will speak in whatever tone I see fit! I've bitten my tongue long enough! And I'm tired of being told what to do, I'm eighteen for Heaven's sake!"
"Your actions were proved to be selfish, childish, and most importantly, reckless! What if you got hurt? What if it was worse, what if you were dead?!"
"If it's anything to get away from the both of you? Then it's worth it." Peter meant what he said, but in the back of his mind he felt a little sorry. And judging by the way his mother was crying Richard thought he was taking it too far. He glared daggers at the young boy, tending to his wife and then looking back at his son.
"I will NOT tolerate this treatment from you! And until you can get your act together and apologize to your mom and I for your selfish and hateful actions you are grounded!" Richard yelled.
"You're forcing me to live a life I don't want, father! I want to go back! I made friends there! Why can't you just put my wants above all else? I didn't ask to be born into this life, I don't want to be king! I'm not ready! Why won't you listen to me?!" Peter shouted through tears.
"I do not care if you made friends. You did something that could've gotten you killed. This is the end of this conversation." Peter turned on his heels and stormed out of the study hall before heading to his room slamming the door. He couldn't have hated his life more than he did at this very moment.

Meanwhile with Harley and Claire, they were saddened with the whole Peter situation. As soon as he left Claire began crying in her brother's arms, having heard everything and didn't want Peter to leave. Harley wasn't mad that Peter lied, he understood why he had to, to keep his real identity safe. Not knowing if Harley and Claire would turn him in and sending the boy right back with his parents.
Based on the details that Peter shared, his parents weren't the greatest people in his eyes. Why would they keep their son away from the real world? Peter didn't even know how to swim, that's definitely a common thing people do. If they were to pass, how would he be able to fend for himself? Sure, he's the literal prince of the kingdom they live in but if he wasn't, Peter could get hurt.
Once Claire was calm, she started to fall asleep, it was pretty late anyway, and he decided to put her to bed and go to bed himself. As soon as his head hit his pillow he was knocked out, hoping when he woke up, this would all be a terrible nightmare and dreaming Peter would greet him with a warm smile.
Peter was sitting down on his bed, extremely upset he could barely describe the anger he felt. All he saw was red, he clenched his jaw and balled up his fists, he hated this feeling. He didn't want to be mad at his parents, but at this point? He was being treated like a prisoner.
Peter missed Harley and Claire dearly, he missed being able to have deep conversations with the older boy. He missed playing imaginary games with Claire, he desperately wanted to go back. This whole thing was quite inevitable, Peter's curiosity got the better of him, and when he met Harley, time stood still.
As if he found his knight in shining armor, just like the stories he used to read as a child. He never really believed in love at first sight, when he got to know him and build a connection with him, he felt like he'd known Harley his entire life.
That was the loveliest feeling Peter had felt in a long time, meeting a boy around his age, and being able to let loose and live the teenage dream, even though it was cut short after a few days. Peter felt so alive, and now? It was all ruined, he couldn't go back. And judging by the two guards now posted outside his door gossiping about whatever, he would never get out of this place.
There was a knock at his door, assuming it was his father, here to scold him more. He turned away, facing his giant window, disassociating already, when a feminine voice spoke up. "Your highness? It's just me, your father told me to come check on you."
Peter scoffed in response, "I highly doubt those were his choice of words." Peter turned towards the lady's voice and saw his aunt May, he assumed his Uncle Ben was talking to his father, all horrible things of course. Peter teared up, running into her arms and sobbing. He didn't realize how much he missed her, until she was right there in front of him.
"Hello my dear, oh it's alright. Tell me everything." Peter pulled away, and she wiped away his tears, going back towards his bed he began explaining everything that has happened in the course of the past few days. May only nodded, understanding exactly how Peter felt, she was the outcast in their family, only marrying a duke from a neighboring kingdom. She hated seeing her nephew the way he was, she hated how she could rarely visit him.
In a way, May acted more like a mother figure than Peter's own mother these days. "I'm so sorry sweetheart, I wish you could do something that would let you feel normal. You didn't ask to be the prince of a kingdom, much less prepare to become the king." She said, trying to comfort him.
"I... I just wish I could see him again." May knew that glimmer in his eyes, it's the same one she had when she met Ben. Smiling, she decided to question him about this Harley boy, why and how did he catch her nephew's heart so quickly.
"Tell me about him, what is Harley like?" She questioned.
Peter blushed at the thought of Harley, remembering that evening they went swimming at Harley's secret spot. The way he felt safe and secure with him, while also feeling so free. Peter had the same butterflies in his stomach, the giddy laugh spilling out of his mouth, the pearly smile forming on his lips. Is that what love started out as? He wanted to keep this growing emotion forever, though that was neither realistic nor possible.
"Are you sure he's just a friend?" Peter looked at her, unsure of how to answer. But ultimately shook his head, he liked Harley, maybe even loved him. Too bad he'd never see him again. May smiled, kissing Peter's forehead and going to his door, needing to talk to Ben immediately. When she met her husband in the hallway she pulled him to the side and told him everything.
Richard had told him some... things that didn't sound like Peter at all, but when May told him what Peter said to her, that was his nephew. And he was willing to help Peter in any way he could. He and May were planning a classic prison break, so after it was midnight, they hatched their plan. Ben walked up to the guards posted at Peter's bedroom doors, and began a casual conversation.
"Of course if you want to lose your jobs I suggest you go see the king." And like that, they left, once out of earshot he and May snuck into Peter's room. Waking the sleeping boy up, and ushering him out the room. And somehow passing every other guard, on their way to the front gate. (Steve Harrington wished he could be that stealthy lol.)
Getting to the town wasn't that hard, especially since they changed their clothes in order not to be spotted. Peter knew Harley's address, and went to their door, Ben knocked on the door, feeling bad as Harley and Claire were most likely asleep. The door swung open, revealing a blonde haired boy, he knew that to be Harley, especially the way he described him to be.
Harley stood there bewildered, wondering who this man and woman were, and most importantly, why they were knocking on his door in the middle of the night. "C.. Can I help you?" He asked, May and Ben didn't say anything. But instead they stepped aside and let Peter step forward in front of Harley.
"Yo... You're here?" By that time, it had been almost a week since Peter left, Harley couldn't believe he was back. He picked him up and hugged him, setting him down and smiling at him. "I missed you so much." He admitted.
"I missed you too, Harley." Harley got this dazed look and Peter questioned him about it. "What is it?"
Harley snapped out of his daze and glanced down at Peter. "I... uh... forgot to do something before you left."
Peter tilted his head, "What would that be?" Harley leaned in and smiled, before kissing Peter, it felt as if they were in a fairytale, when the hero saves the princess. Harley pulled away, holding Peter was amazing. This feeling was hard to describe, but he never wanted it to end.
They heard a cough from behind them, Harley turned his head and saw Claire standing there. He knew she'd been watching the whole time. "It's about time." She told them.
"Claire!" Harley exclaimed, as Peter giggled in response. Claire ignored her brother's reaction and ran to Peter, pushing Harley aside and hugged him. Peter kneeled down and hugged the little girl close, "I missed you as well Claire." He told her, standing up he faced Harley, who still looked tired.
"I thought you had to go back to the palace? How are you here?" He asked.
Peter guestered towards May and Ben, "This my Aunt May and my Uncle Ben, the duke and duchess of Brookston. They concocted a plan to let me see you again. I haven't thanked you both enough by the way."
Ben waved him off, "You don't need to thank us Peter, you deserve to be happy. We'll deal with your parents when we get back."
"So what happens now?" Harley asked.
Claire exclaimed, "You kiss again!" Harley and Peter went red in response, and the others laughed at their reactions. May and Ben let Peter rest before having to get back to the palace, and after hours of debating the adults came to a mutual agreement. Peter was allowed to leave the palace grounds as long as told them beforehand where he was going, and no sneaking out of any kind.
Peter agreed to the terms, and made some rules of his own that his parents agreed to. In the end? Harley and Claire moved into the palace and Harley began working in the horse stable as a stable boy, while Claire was going to school. Peter was beyond happy, finally being with the boy he loved, and living a somewhat normal life.
(Honestly y'all- I loved writing this chapter and part one. The medieval setting was pleasant, along with the Disney theme. What do you guys think? Also, this may be the first chapter not mentioning Tony or any of the other MCU characters.)
