Today was going to be a fun day for Peter and his friends, at the moment he and his class were on a school bus heading on a field trip to MOMA (Museum of Modern Arts). Everyone was excited, although science was his favorite subject, Peter liked art, he knew MJ loved to sketch and draw. So this field trip was right up her alley, once the class arrived at the museum, everything was going smoothly.
Peter was having fun with his friends, they were there for about two hours, and while Mr. Harrington and Mr. Dell were gathering up the kids, Peter got an uneasy feeling, and noticed there was dust on the floor, he stared confusedly as dust was flying everywhere. He looked towards his teachers but saw that they were turning into the dust.
A couple of his classmates were also doing the exact same thing, then he turned to Ned and MJ in a panic. He tried talking to them, "Peter w- what's happening?!" Ned said in a confused but terrified tone.
"Yeah Parker, what's going on?" Peter looked at Ned, who started disappearing.
"I- I don't know! N- Ned!" Ned was gone, before Peter could even say anything MJ was withering away. He was so confused, scared, and didn't know what to do. So he grabbed his phone in his hands, which were shaking. And called the first person in his contacts, but May wouldn't answer. He then called Happy who picked up the phone.
"Hello? Peter? Aren't you supposed to be on your school field trip right now? Why are you calling me?" Happy asked.
"Happy! E- Everyone is just d- disappearing I- I don't know what's happening, May isn't picking up a- and I'm stuck at the museum!" Peter began to panic, he didn't know what to do, he honestly felt like bursting into tears. Happy tried to calm him down, and told him he'd be picking him up, once Happy found Peter in his distressed state he drove him to the Avengers Compound.
Once they got there, Rhodey greeted them and let them inside. Steve, Natasha, Sam, Thor, and Bruce had gotten there a few hours earlier. They all looked exhausted and more importantly defeated. Steve saw him and walked up to him, "You okay son?" He asked, Peter was somewhat out of it and shocked that the guy who he fought in Germany was talking to him out of uniform.
"Uh, I don't know, I watched my whole class disappear, and my aunt isn't answering the phone. I hope she's okay." Peter replied, the adults around him wondered who he was, they knew he came with Happy. But Natasha knew Happy wasn't married and didn't have a kid. "What's your name?" She asked.
"I'm Peter Parker ma'am." They all nodded and Happy came back in the room, he looked at Peter with a worried look. Peter instantly knew, May had disappeared too, he was alone. Happy didn't want Peter to be on his own, so he asked the others if Peter could stay with them and they said he could.
Twenty days have passed and Peter had never felt so lost and numb. It was insane to learn that fifty percent of all living things were decimated. It was almost eleven at night, Peter was busy studying and then started getting ready for bed. As earlier in the day he'd been at school, life was strange at the moment. So as he's laying down on his bed there was a loud noise, making his slumber feel oh so far away.
He grumbled, and muttered, "God, what now?" Getting up and walking out of the compound, to see a giant spacecraft or ship of some sort. He stood behind Rhodey, Natasha, and Steve, wondering who they were talking to. "Wh- Where's the kid? D- Did he disappear too?" Everyone turned to Peter, he saw Tony, he looked tired but a glimpse of relief washed over him.
"Mr. Stark?" Peter was a little sleep deprived but Tony walked closer to him and pulled him into a hug. Everyone went inside and they began questioning Tony about the purple Titan, wanting to know every detail of the battle that took place. Peter could tell Tony was out of it, he was delirious, going on about how they lost but Steve wasn't there.
Soon, Tony collapsed and Bruce had to sedate him. So while he was out cold for a few hours, Peter went into the room and saw Pepper sitting in a chair next to the older adult. She saw him standing in the doorway and nodded at him, silently allowing him to enter, he pulled up a chair and sat there quietly. Until Pepper spoke, "I've heard a lot about you, Tony said you're a good kid, he sees a lot of himself in you." She said.
"What's he told you?" He asked, quite curious to know what Mr. Stark has said about him. He didn't think he talked about him to his girlfriend or really anyone.
"He told me how you warned him of that guy who was going to steal technology from that plane some months ago. How you stopped him on Coney Island, that's really impressive." She said.
Does she know my identity? He thought. "Don't worry, it only slipped out after the press conference." Yep, she knew, but I guess she was referring to when Tony finally asked her to marry him.
"C- Congratulations by the way. I know you make him very happy, he talks about you a lot." Peter replied.
The two of them talked for a few hours, and while Pepper was gone grabbing some coffee, Tony woke up and was fine. Bruce said he was dehydrated, that's why he was talking about the things he was. "Kid? What are you doing here?" He asked, he forgot Peter was there, thinking everything was just a dream.
"I was worried Mr. Stark, you collapsed, and I've been waiting for you to wake up." Peter said.
"Where's your aunt? Or your friends?" Peter's expression changed and Tony realized that May, MJ, and Ned disappeared too. He felt sorry for him, Happy has been taking care of Peter, unbeknownst to him Tony was literally trapped in space.
"Happy's been taking care of me, while everything's been happening. My school is honestly so different now, my friends are gone and I'm not necessarily good at making new ones." Peter admitted.
Tony scoffed, "C'mon, you're literally the coolest kid I know. And if there isn't anyone who wants to be your friend, then it's their loss."
Peter smiled, he was glad that some people he knew were still here, even when the people he loved were gone. He knew down the road would be hard, but as long as Tony was with him, everything would be okay.

Five Years Later
Peter graduated from high school at the top of his class, and Tony couldn't have been prouder; he then applied for a few colleges and got accepted into MIT. Tony and Pepper got married, Peter was there too, and then a few months later they announced that Pepper was pregnant. So while all of that was happening, Peter had just gotten home for a few weeks.
He saw Tony going outside to see Morgan in her secret hideout. He could see them talking but went inside to greet Pepper and say hello. He went inside and saw the older woman preparing what looked to be like lunch for herself, Tony, and Morgan. "Hey Pep." Peter greeted.
She turned around and saw him, drying her wet hands and walking over to him bringing him into her arms for a hug. "Hey kiddo, how've you been? How's college life?" She asked.
"It's been quite busy but fun, my roommate is pretty cool, we've actually become friends. He's majoring in psychology, and I'm majoring in science engineering." Peter said.
"That's good, I know the trip was a long one, so I'll make you some lunch. Tony is with Morgan outside. Can you tell them lunch is almost done?" Peter nodded his head and went out to the porch and saw Tony and Morgan talking to Steve, Nat, and some guy he didn't recognize.
Nat smiled, "Hi Peter." She said.
"Hi Nat." He replied, Morgan whipped her head around and saw her brother, she stopped hugging her dad and ran to Peter, who picked her up and held. "Hi Peter!" She exclaimed.
"Hey Morgy, how are you?"
"Mommy told me come save daddy, that's why I'm here." Peter nodded, and looked between the other adults and read the room.
"Well, your mom said lunch was ready and told me to bring you back as a secret mission. Are you up for it?" Peter asked, Morgan giggled in response and then they left. Later that night after Tony put Morgan to bed Pepper and Peter were in the living room. Peter had his glasses on and was reading a book.
"I figured it out. By the way." That caught Peter's attention, what did his dad figure out?
"Just so we're both talking about
the same thing-" Tony cuts her off.
"Time travel." He replied.
"What? That's amazing." Pepper told him.
Tony nodded his head, the shock was soon nonexistent. "Yeah."
"And terrifying." Pepper added.
"To say the least." Tony sat down next to his wife noticing Peter who was sitting in the corner opposite of where they were. "I'm surprised it took you this long. And without my help, I feel insulted." Peter joked.
"Sorry kid, aren't you busy at one of the top colleges in the world?" Tony joked back.
Peter smirked, "Touché."
Pepper tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, "We got really lucky."
"I know." Tony replied.
"Not everybody did." Peter admitted.
Tony sighed, "I can't help everybody."
"Except, it sort of seems like you
can." It was true, the man literally figured out time travel.
"Not if I stopped right here."
"Tony, trying to get you to stop is
one of the few failures of my life."
"I can put a pin in it right now, put it in a trunk, sink it to the bottom of the lake, and go to bed." Peter chuckled in response.
"But could you rest?" Pepper asked. Tony looked at the twenty one year old.
"I'll do anything to help out Dad, don't worry. I've got your back." Tony loved how Peter was always at the ready to defend him and help him.
