Since some readers may be confused on which Creepypastas are in this book and which aren't, etc., I decided to make this little extra chapter for you to explain certain things.

You don't need to read this, if you don't want to btw.! It's just some information that might be useful to know for future chapters.

So far, the protagonist, the readers themselves, has only encountered actual Proxies or Slenderman himself (not an actual face to face meeting, however). I originally planned to keep this story proxies-only, as the actual title states (Proxies x Reader!), dedicated to the various ones out there from the Slender/ARG series like Marble Hornets, TJAProjects, etc. or their CP versions. That's the reason why known and loved Creepypastas such as Jeff the Killer or BEN Drowned won't be appearing in any chapters.

At least not as far as i have planned.

They honestly wouldn't 100% fit in with the plot, they could, however, perhaps appear as a hunter or figure to scare off certain characters or the reader herself. But once again: Not exactly fitting for the plot and certainly not as love interest (you'd understand, if you knew the whole plot haha). If some of you really really wish for an appearance of a certain CP, i might add them briefly, but only if more than one reader is interested in it! Hope you understand.

Before i come to the main love interests though, i'll firstly explain some things about proxies.

Proxy or Proxies, are a given term for people who are possessed or under the influence of Slenderman. It is suspected that Proxies do the actual, physical work for Slenderman, such as creating and manipulating objects, destroying and leaving evidence, creating videos and responding on Twitter or other social networking, and influencing victims as needed, destroying their sanity or killing them in the process.

There are also ranks actually and i'll include that in my book as well, at least as best as i can:

The Hallowed - Those who have been totally dominated by him and act only upon his will. Brainless, emotionless drones. Useful for attacking but otherwise useless. From my limited interactions, they just sit around in a catatonic state when he's not leading them like puppets. Standard mooks.

The Berserkers - Those who are under his control but can act on their own when he can't be arced commanding them. These are far more dangerous than the Hallowed, because they can work their way into positions of trust to further his agenda. They often think they're Agents, but they're not really.

The Sleepers - Those who are under his control but not aware. Often Runners, they come under his control when they're mind is at its weakest, during blackouts or sleep. He then uses them to attack other Runners. They are, for this reason, considerably more dangerous than Berserkers; Berserkers act like they're not under his control, but Sleepers don't know.

The Agents - Those who act for him despite not being under his control. Whatever their motivations, if they act on his behalf, then they are Agents. One of their biggest assets is that they're totally sane and retain all of their mental faculties which means they can target Runner in ways far more creative than anything that the Tall One himself can think up.

The Revenants - Those who have returned from the dead and use human vessels to stay alive.

Now to the actual yanderes. A yandere is a person, who is incredibly violent and suffers from a psychosis, they're usually bipolar. The yandere is obsessed with a character and will do everything to make them theirs. I think that's clear, right?

The main yanderes will be the main proxies: Masky, Hoodie and Ticci Toby.

Yes, i know. Masky and Hoodie from Marble Hornets are NOT actual proxies of the Slenderman. But for the sake of this story, I created an AU, mixing their personalities, etc. with their Creepypasta version. So in this book they ARE proxies and work for Slenderman.

The other proxies the reader will encounter will most likely only be a hunter as i call them. A character to hunt down the reader and her friends, make them insane, kill them or bring them to Slenderman.

If you guys have any questions on a certain proxy in a chapter or have an actual suggestion, please, comment or message me. I'll gladly answer or might even add your idea (of course with credit if necessary!).

Hope this didn't ruin your mood, as some were expecting an update. Or since their favorite Creepypasta might not be in the book! But i really wanted to explain this. You can view this as a 'special chapter'!
