The Child
Entering the bright room of innocent wonder,
The girl came in; they were the art of sonder,
Eyes full of life, a contagious smile,
She broke into sobs, tears glistening in her eyes.
Thin yet strong arms picked the fragile leaf,
Her eyes now closed, the illusion inside she sees,
Back and forth was she rocked, a wonderful swing.
The laughter of her givers echo through the room in glee.
Taking sonoko to the place of her life,
Wooden floors, simple structures, but a musical sight,
With her hand by her face, she sleeps in her mother's grasp,
To be placed onto a fluffy white sack.
The little hands rub the the holes of peaceful sound,
As she lays on her back, her arms in the air, waving around,
Her eyes full of awe, her mind away from the world,
It smiled in satisfaction as she saw something beyond this illusion.
With its closed eyes and a gentle stride,
It walks away from the bundle of smiles,
For it know in relief that this was not their farewell,
As it turned to see her near the instrument of keys.
