I woke up in a rather unfamiliar place, Vincent was curled up in my arms and I saw my backpack in a corner and under that was a Vin's cage, the room was painted a pretty midnight/eggplant-ish purple with blackout curtains neatly placed on the windows yet they are open instead of closed

Vincent rolled over and lifted his small head to lick my face, I then got up to look in my backpack I saw some clothes, snack mix, Vincent's dog food I already had in there and water bottles again I already had in there

I walked out of the room and found myself staring at a pretty yet ominous balcony like area so I'm on a second floor, its just your average home with some grunge accents added I mean its nothing special just pretty

i made my way towards what looked like stairs as i was a bit dark and my eyes hadn't adjusted to the lighting yet.

???'s POV

i found myself waking up in pure darkness so I grabbed my phone, I put it in my pocket and head towards the door after kissing my wife on the forehead I looked up to find a what looks like a female creeping around the stairwell so I tapped her shoulder shakily

she flinched a bit and backed up she appeared to be quite young so I didn't snap at her, "what are you doing in my house?" - "I swear I didn't break in I just woke up I Promise, you can check your cameras or something" she rambled, her high pitched voice was shaky so I semi believed it

but how does one just wake up in another's House? 

"okay but do you remember where you live?" - "I know I live in San Diego on Woodruff Avenue but where am I now?" she questioned "you are still in San Diego, just 20 minutes away from your house.." I sighed and got on one knee to reach her height level, "how old are you?" - "Twelve" she cut me off proudly

I smiled and motioned for her to follow me, "sit down I'm gonna ask you some questions" i said and watched her sit down on the floor so I sat down criss crossed around 4 feet in front of her, "what's your name?" I asked so she replied "Salem Authe but I don't like my last name cuz of.." she paused "family problems" Salem said and i just nodded

"you sound really familiar are you apart of a band Per chance?" she asked and I nodded "Yep Pierce the veil" I said mentally cursing myself out hoping she didn't know who I was, "cool I like that band like a lot, aren't you Vic Fuentes??" she asked again 

I nodded in response  "Mhm but what family problems are you talking about?" I asked slightly regretting it, "Sooo my mother offed herself and my dad blamed it on me even though she was just in a really bad place at the time, but before that she gave me a puppy named Vincent as a parting gift this was a month before, she made a note for me talking about why she gave vincent to me But that's besides the fact" she paused to take a breath

"Vincent is here right now speaking of but anyway, my dad like cut me as a punishment and its just really bad but I wont say the details of that because you look traumatized should I shut up?" she finished her story and so I started so speak, "h-he Cut you? how?" - "he heated up a knife and asked for my wrist the knife was usually dull so the scars just fade away quickly topically like a month which for me is quick"

I just slowly nodded as it was a lot to take in, "can you show me?" - "the scars?" she asked and I nodded softening my gaze, she sighed and lifted both of her hoodie sleeves revealing recent scars obviously not from a heated knife, "did you-" - "do that myself?" she finished the sentence and I nodded "y-yeah But I swear I stopped!, are you gonna send me back?" - "no! I wouldn't send you back to someplace that hurt you Mentally and physically, Salem I swear you will not go back" I said and her eyes lit up probably a bit of hope in living a normal life

"so how does the name Salem Fuentes sound to you? I like it personally" I said and got up so she did to, "Thank you so much this means the world to me I mean Vic Fuentes of PIERCE THE FRIGGING VEIL Offered for me to be his daughter That's just Hella crazy" she rambled again just more upbeat and hugged me "hella?" I repeated and hugged back then pulled away, she nodded "Hellaa Crazy" she said dragging on the 'a' while I chuckled

I guess I have a kid now who would've known.
