"You're running around like a crazy man, why?"

Abigail was by Kai's side while Bonnie and Damon were a bit behind. Kai was walking around with the ascendant and kept pointing it up towards the sky, moving to find the right spot.

"Damon, for once, can you keep quiet and let the man work?" Abigail sighed and looked at him, crossing her arms with an annoyed expression.

She just didn't understand why Damon had to constantly say something when it wasn't necessary.

"Yes, Damon, let the man work. Unless you happen to know the exact right spot?" Kai asked sarcastically and took a quick glance at Damon who just stood in silence, "What I thought."

"We need to find where the power of the eclipse focuses," Abigail said with a little shrug as her eyes stayed focused on the boy in front of her. He looked at her and gave her a nod, happy that he didn't need to explain himself more.

"You know, you could've just showed us he ascendant to begin with," Bonnie said with an amused yet annoyed expression of her face, hands stuffed into her pockets.

Abigail began to roll her eyes, already knowing the answer. Maybe Bennett was clueless to the obvious flirting going on, but she wasn't. Like she said before, it was gross. Besides, her witch senses felt like they were going to explode; even though that's not possible. And what her senses were telling her right now was that Kai had to major hots for Bonnie.

Kai looked over and saw her annoyed face, planting a smirk on his own. "Because I wanted to make Abby jealous by having your hand on my chest."

Abigail quickly stopped looking so gloom and huffed a bit, walking away from him and retrieving to her friends. That definitely wasn't the answer she was hoping for. Nor was it pleasing in any way. Maybe having him flirt with Bonnie instead of her was a little less gross now that she thought about it.

She stuck herself in between Bonnie and Damon, much to their dismay, and just walked along with them instead. Damon could feel her uncomfortableness and felt bad for the girl; she had to deal with that.

So, like a natural instinct, he put his arm around her protectively as the three watched Kai switch back and forth between positions.

"Somethings not right about him," Bonnie commented slightly while talking low, making sure to not take her eyes off of him.

"You're just not use to flirting with people," Damon retorted with a scoff, meaning it as a joke, "I can't decide which one of you he likes best, but I'm guessing it's Abigail because let's be honest, Bonnie, the guys you date usually don't last very long."

Abigail playfully rolled her eyes at Damon's sarcasm and shook her head, a little chuckle escaping her lips. She didn't mind having his arm around her, it made her feel safe. And if Kai decides to try anything again, she'll be more disgusted than uncomfortable.

"You know, I can't wait to get out of here. Back to somebody else," Bonnie answered bitterly as she looked over at him, making Damon deflect eye contact.

"Have a few lasting seconds of peace while this idiot uses that thing to get the stars to align, or something," Damon spoke as he was looking at the sky while Bonnie bent down and picked up a newspaper shaped into an airplane.

Abigail watched her movements, a bit curious as to why she was reading the newspaper. They must've read it a million times over the past four months, surely this was no time to revise what happened in 1994 on May 10th.

Damon pulled his arm back from Abigail and walked ahead, leaving the two girls to stand alone. She looked over at Bonnie as the girl read something interesting, to say the least.

"You okay?" She asked genuinely, not sure where this sudden change of mood came from. It was like her protectiveness just shot out of her.

Bonnie looked up at Abigail and then grabbed her hand, dragging them both over to Damon. Though, she didn't speak upon what she was reading until after Damon made another stupid remark towards Kai.

"Oregon..." Bonnie muttered to herself, making Abigail and Damon flash their heads to her.

"What?" Damon asked with furrowed eyebrows, slightly confused on what was going on here.

"I read this paper like a thousand times, there's something in here about Oregon," Bonnie answered Damon back as she eyed Kai, who was completely aware of the conversation.

Abigail slightly smiled at the thought of Oregon, thinking about her ex. Her name was Violet, and she was quite extraordinary.

"Wasn't that the story of a family murder?" Abigail asked innocently with a sad expression blooming on her face, thinking about her own family.

"Yesโ€”and you know how Kai said he had all those brothers and sisters? Family massacred in Portland, the only one missing was the oldest boy. A 22-year old named Malachai," Bonnie explained in a sort of hushed tone, not wanting to alert the person standing in front of them.

Abigail felt her stomach dropped as soon she heard Kai speak. "Who names a kid Malachai? It's like they expected me to be evil."

When he turned around, there was something in his eyes. It was dark and scary, like his true colors were finally starting to show. Abigail parted her lips in shock and narrowed her eyes a him, hoping he was making some sick joke.

"All these kids were murdered," Bonnie spoke out, her defensive side coming out to play.

"Hello? Not everyone died. I had a soft spot for one of my sisters," Kai softly said as he took steps towards them, "'Cause otherwise I would've cut her lungs out and not just her spleen."

"What?" Abigail asked in a shaker voice, her eyebrows raised and on the verge of a breakdown.

Her brother popped into her mind; Raul. He killed her behind her own back with no remorse or regret. He lied to her entire family and they believed him, making her death less cared about. When she died, everything fell upon Raul and he did not hesitate to make changes.

Her funeral was where she passed and she watched him fake the tears. And even though he was the one who killed her, she still felt bad for him. She blames it on her selflessness. It was only her family there; no friends or anyone from the community. Not even her dear Violet was allowed to show up, but with good reason.

"You could survive without a spleen," Kai answered her question with a glance at her, making Abigail quickly reflect his gaze upon her getting even more upset than she already was.

"Something tells me you're not speaking hypothetically," Damon said, making a little face as he did. He put his arm around Abigail again, noticing her distress.

He made his way next to Bonnie and looked down at the paper and the faces of those he killed, and started to describe how. "Well look, these two I, uh, hung off the stairwell railing. Then I put a hunting knife in her abdomen. And him, I drowned in the pool. But he kept fighting me and I was like, 'I saved you for last you ungrateful, little...', anyway, that was that."

Abigail stared in horror the absolute darkness that flooded his eyes when he was explaining. It was like he didn't care or feel any remorse. In all her life, she had never heard of anything more psychotic.

He was more a monster than any vampire in the world.

"Y-You just...killed your whole family?" Abigail stuttered out in fear, her eyes returning back to his figure.

"Coven, to be precise. Oh, you know, family of witches."

"You're making us jump through hoops and you're a witch?" Damon asked a little taken back, beginning to get a little annoyed now.

"Sort of, yeah. No powers, obviously, oh and of course the Gemini Coven did not take it too well when they found out what I did in Portland. That's why they banished me here," Kai shook his head before looking back up.

"This place is a prison," Bonnie calmly spoke to Abigail and Damon before looking back at Kai, "They created it for you."

Good, Abigail thought to herself, he deserves to suffer for what he did.

"Yep," Kai responded back with the eclipse shadow starting to cover his face, only making him seem more like a monster to Abigail, "This isn't your hell, Damon. It's mine."

"Good!" Abigail suddenly shouted at him, not being able to control how she felt anymore. If she didn't get this out of her system, she might not make it through the night. "This whole time I thought you were just slightly weird, now I know that you're really a poor excuse for a human being. You're just nothing more than a sick bastard who deserves to rot in this world, alone for all eternity."

She turned back around with steam basically coming out of her ears, leaving Damon and Bonnie who stood in pure shock. Not in four months of knowing Abigail did she seem to ave a negative bone in her body. Sure, she was constantly getting on Damon's nerves and kept saying how she was going to kill him with her magic back, but that was different.

Kai was slightly offended by what she said, but it wasn't anything he hasn't heard before. He's had his fair share of abuse from his father and family already and he certainly didn't need her to add onto it.

"Ouch," Kai said with a slight smile as he watched her walk back into the house, "Too late to ask her out now?"

"She's right," Bonnie said with hatred in her eyes, "You're not getting out of here. Not with my help."

The girl turned around and went after her friend. Damon suddenly snapped out of his trance and then chased after Bonnie, hoping to convince her otherwise. He needed to see Elena, his girl and in order to do that one of them had to do the spell. And they clearly weren't up for trying.

Abigail stood inside the boarding house by the entrance with her head in her hands, trying to calm herself down. She was breathing too heavily and all she wanted to do was rip his throat out. But she couldn't; she was different than a cold-less killer.

Then Bonnie opened the door, followed by Damon and Kai.

"We aren't letting Kai out of here, okay? He just said he's a serial killer," Bonnie said with aggravation in her voice as she went to Abigail and put her arms around her, trying to comfort her in some way. She sent a smile to the girl in thank you.

"I don't care. I wanna get out of here," Damon excused as he approached the girls, not willing to let this drop.

"How could you not care, Damon?" Abigail shouted a bit and looked at him, ready to fry his brain. She saw Kai walk in the door and pursed her lips. Not even eye contact was good enough for him.

"Maybe because of the horrible things you've done?" Bonnie asked defensively, eyeing her friend like he was just as bad, "Maybe because killing a bunch of kids is not a big deal to someone who murdered a pregnant woman?"

Abigail let out an exhausted sigh, forgetting that part of the evening. This truly was the worst day of her life; to prove that, two heartless killers stood in the exact same room with her.

Damon didn't answer, but he had a guilty look on his face. She could see that and as much as she wanted to excuse him, she couldn't. It was a terrible thing to do, justified or not.

Bonnie got in his face, "Am I wrong?"

Damon walked to the living room, leaving the three standing by the doorway. Instead of dealing with the conflict at hand, he decided to give the last part of his story. Now, Abigail didn't know what was the purpose, but it only made her more angry.

"Ouch, poor nephew uncle Zach," Kai spoke in bitter words, making his way closer to the bunch.

"Stefan compelled Uncle Zach to forget about the girlfriend and the baby. But he couldn't cover up all those murders. Founders council was restarted and Stefan took off, left Mystic Falls for about 15 years, we both did. And then when I saw Uncle Zach again, I couldn't look at him without remembering that I ruined everything so it was a nice relief when I got to kill him. Okay, can we go back now?" Damon said all that just to finish with a selfish favor.

Abigail scoffed and shook her head, "No means no, Damon. But clearly judging on what you told me you are very familiar with the word."

"Oh come on, guys. You wanna go home to your friends," Kai started and looked at Bonnie before Abigail and then back at Bonnie, "I wanna go back and give the rest of the Gemini Coven an excruciating death. Win-win."

Abigail felt her blood begin to boil. She was furious and all she wanted to do was to let it out, but she didn't know how. This wasn't a word-to-face issue, this was her magic.

Damon turned to Abigail with begging eyes, "Please, Abby. I know this guys not a model citizen, but I gotta get back. Not just for Elena, but for my brother."

Abigail shook her head without hesitation, her arms crossed against her chest. "I'm sorry, Damon, but i'm out."

"Sorry doesn't work for me," Kai suddenly stated slightly angry before walking over to the raven-haired girl, about to grab her before Damon used his vamp speed to tackle him against the wall.

"We may be having a bit of a disagreement right now, but don't you ever lay a hand on her or I'll personally take them off and feed them to you," Damon threatened him with his arm pinning Kai's neck.

The dark light that was illuminating the room became brighter which caught their attention. Certainly Kai's as he wasn't that big in a rush anymore.

"Kind of a non-issue now. Missed today's eclipse. Rain check for tomorrow?" Kai asked with a smile plastered on his face, looking at everyone.

"No," Bonnie muttered before walking out of the house with her arms wrapped around herself.

"Burn in hell," Abigail spat at him while Damon still had his down before walking to her room. She made sure to lock the door so not even him can get in.

Once she was in, there was no more keeping it all in. She looked around before letting out a battle-like scream, causing for magic to loose control. The windows broke, paper flew everywhere, and her mirror now had a huge crack in it. But she didn't care. This was all going to reset tomorrow, so why should she bother trying not to make a mess?

Although, this use of magic certainly brought her attention. When she was alive, she never had outbreaks like this nor was she ever usually a mad person. Guess the whole family murder thing kind of set her on edge.

a few hours later

Abigail sat with Bonnie in the kitchen. Neither of them said a word about anything, but it was like they didn't have to talk to get their point a-crossed. They weren't going to help Kai get out, and that was final, or at least it was to Abigail. And she certainly wasn't going to speak about what happened earlier, with the scream thing. Bonnie figured to just let that one slide as she knew the struggle.

Damon walked in and his eyes fell of both girls. "Shame eating, ladies?"

"Thinking about that pregnant lady," Bonnie talked back to him, playing around with her fork. Abigail was in no mood for conversation with him. "She had a thing for pancakes."

"That's what you remember?" Damon scoffed before pouring himself a drink, making Abigail roll her eyes.

"You remember it, don't you? You make pancakes everyday," Bonnie observed, placing her fork down on her plate.

"Because I'm bored," Damon answered back, but that was a crock of shit to Abigail. She scoffed a bit, making him glance at her, but she still didn't let out one peep.

"No, because you're punishing yourself," Bonnie nodded with a weak expression, leaving Damon speechless with that guilty look coming back on his face, "You call this place your hell, that means you feel remorse. That's what makes you different than Kai. It means there's hope for you."

"Look, we could still get out of here. We could just steal that ascendant contraption and find out what Kai knows then ditch him. He doesn't have any powers anyway," Damon suggested as he took steps closer to them.

As much as she hated it, that plan sounded great to Abigail. That maniac would be able to never leave this place without them if they left him behind. But at the same time, it just felt wrong. She hated him, yes, but she wasn't going to lie and manipulate him just to get his hopes up. Abigail wasn't going to stoop to his level.

"Actually, it's not that simple," They heard Kai and all turned his direction to the doorframe, seeing him appear like acne.

"You better stop doing that. It's creepy," Damon let out with a strain, eyeing the man who just won't take a hint.

"Here's the thing; I have a killer affect on magic. I can't generate it myself," Kai stated and made his way towards the two girls, specifically Abigail. She didn't notice as she was currently trying to stop the urge of killing him right there. "But I can consume it from others. Temporarily. Family called me an abomination; that hurt my feelings."

Suddenly, she was no longer focusing on herself. She was now focused on the unbearable pain coming from her right shoulder. She looked and saw Kai with his hand there, a little smirk creeping on his face. It was a burning sensation running all throughout her body and she couldn't do anything to stop it. It was like he was lighting her whole right arm on fire.

Kai then lift up his other hand and caused a fire to break out in front of Damon, while also causing him pain. Bonnie then was flown to the other side of the room, causing her to be down for a little due to the impact.

And then just like that, Kai stopped. He lift his hands up in surrender as Abigail breathed deeply, trying to maintain her strength. She looked up and eyed him, daggers shooting out. He noticed and sent her a wink, letting her know that it was nothing personal.

The fire stopped and Damon wasn't dealing with a massive headache anymore, and Bonnie got up while holding her arm that hit the wall with anger.

"You could see why my coven and I didn't get along," Kai remarked with nothing but amusement on his face, his hands still up in the air as he stared them all down.

"I smell an ultimatum," Damon said as he was a bit out of breath and still recovering from the little pain he felt.

"If I consume all of Abigails magic, I am just going to end up killing her," Kai yammered on and circled the girl, tracing a finger around her body making her shudder under her current rate of fear, "And then Bonnie and yada yada. But, if we work together we could all go home as friends. Or I can devour her magic, kill the witch before she kills me, and then kill you. Going home by myself."

He offered this with a smile on his face, clearly seeing no harm in what he just did. Bonnie stared at him like he was crazy and Abigail like he was just...nothing.

He sat down and picked up Bonnie's utensils, cutting into the pancake she was eating before. "What's it gonna be?"

Abigail looked at Damon and Bonnie before shaking her head. She promised herself she wouldn't do anything that benefited Kai, and she was sticking to it. She knew they wanted to go home, but she had no home.

Then a thought came to mind. Maybe she should just stay. They could help him or whatever and she won't be apart of it, and she'll stay. What's the difference between here and the other side? It's not like she had any family anymore or a place to call home.

"I love you guys," Abigail began to say, her attention directed at Damon and Bonnie, "But I i'm getting out by helping him, then I'm not. I'm staying."

"No, Abby, off the table," Damon started with a finger pointed at her with a stern look, "You're coming with us and you're going to experience life again. You could start over, this time with no brother to betray you."

This caught Kai's attention and he rose his eyebrows in amusement, wondering her sudden sense of courage came from. He knew that she couldn't last another day in this hell. Well, considering she was on the other side for almost 300 definitely meant she could do it alone. He didn't really care.

"Damon, if I help you guys, I'd be going against everything I believe in. So, I'm sorry, but my answer is no," She said more loudly and clear before looking at Kai, "You could have Bonnie, you sick bastard, but leave me out of it."

She walked away from the three and back up to her room. She wasn't going to come out unless she knew for sure that they were going to be gone. Tomorrow was the day.

She was going to be alone forever all over again.
