Chapter 56
Chapter 56 - The Roar That Shook the World
You lifted your wing, even though the pain from its broken structure made every muscle scream. A powerful arc of lightning gathered between your claws, glowing with an intense energy that made the air around you crackle. With a primal roar, you shot the lightning straight at All For One, and he screamed as it struck him with explosive force, tearing up the ground beneath him.
All Might landed heavily on the ground again, sweat beading on his brow. He stared up at you, but his expression had changed. The kind and hopeful mask he always wore for his students was replaced by deep concern and a growing fear. It was clear he no longer recognized you, not as he once had.
Your eyes glowed bright purple, an eerie contrast to the darkness surrounding you. You slammed your tail into the ground, the impact shaking the earth and sending clouds of dust into the air.
"I've given you so-called villains free rein for years," you growled, your voice deep and charged with a new, unknown power. "All because I wanted to be a hero." You shook your head, a dark determination blazing in your gaze.
"Not anymore. I am no hero." You straightened, lifting your head high, your presence radiating dominance as you glared down at All For One. "I am the queen of dragons, and dragons show no mercy."
Your words hung heavy in the air, a dark declaration that froze everyone in place. The lightning crackling across your body served as a warning, a clear signal that something within you had shifted—something powerful, something terrifying.
You turned sharply to All Might, your glowing purple eyes piercing through him like a blade. "You're a fool, like so many others, All Might," you growled, your voice low and commanding. "Myself included."
You paused, the weight of your words heavy in the tense silence. The wind whipped around you, carrying with it the crackling hum of your lingering lightning.
"I don't want you here when I finish him," you continued, gesturing to the wounded All For One. "Take the others and make sure they've gotten away safely. That's your job as a hero, isn't it?"
Your tone was firm, leaving no room for argument, but beneath it was a flicker of something else—determination, resolve, and perhaps even care. Though your words were cutting, it was clear you were commanding All Might not out of cruelty, but out of a desire to shield him from what you were about to do.
"I—I can't leave you, young Y/N!" All Might's voice trembled with fear and desperation as he reached out to you. But you shook your head, your expression firm yet tinged with sadness.
You stepped closer to him, your movements heavy with both exhaustion and determination. Raising a clawed hand, you gently touched his cheek, your talons grazing his skin with a strange tenderness.
"You're not abandoning me, All Might," you said softly, your voice steady despite the turmoil raging around you. "I'm always with you, Toshi. But you have to go now."
Your words were a command cloaked in care, and as you pulled away, your broken form staggered upward into the air, wings faltering but carrying you just enough. You looked down at him one last time, a fleeting smile on your lips as your gaze held his, full of unspoken gratitude and finality.
"Farewell, Symbol of Peace," you murmured, your voice barely audible above the roar of the storm you summoned.
Then, with all the power you could muster, you unleashed a devastating blast of lightning directly into All For One's chest. The world seemed to hold its breath for a fraction of a second before it erupted in blinding light and deafening sound.
The ground beneath you shattered, the sky itself seemed to crackle with rage, and everything was consumed in the explosion.

Izuku stared at the TV screen, his trembling hands clutching the edge of the couch. The news replayed the cataclysmic moment—your sacrifice—over and over. The words of the reporters blurred into white noise, drowned out by the memory of your defiant roar and the devastating blast that had consumed everything. You had given yourself for him, for the world, for All Might. And now, you were gone.
He couldn't move, couldn't speak. His freckled face was streaked with silent tears, his green eyes wide with disbelief and raw pain.
Beside him, Bakugo sat stiffly, his usual fiery demeanor extinguished. His head was bowed, hands clenched into fists on his knees, the tremors betraying the emotions he fought to contain. Behind them, Uraraka, Momo, and Mina broke into sobs, their cries piercing the heavy silence.
Shoto stood a few steps away, unmoving, his face unreadable. Yet, the glistening tears tracing lines down his pale cheeks betrayed the weight in his heart. Tokoyami was no different—his shadowy form was rigid, but his eyes glistened as tears silently fell, catching the light like tiny shards of broken glass.
The room was thick with grief, every breath a struggle, every heartbeat a reminder of what was lost. You had been more than a classmate, more than a dragon—a friend, a protector, and a symbol of unyielding strength. Now, that strength had burned brightly one final time, leaving behind an empty void.
At the outskirts of the gathering stood a group shrouded in their own storm of emotions—Hawks, Dabi, Twice, Toga, Spinner, Mr. Compress, Shigaraki, and Kurogiri. None spoke, their usual chaos and energy replaced with a suffocating silence. They, too, stared at the screen, the weight of your loss pressing down on them like an unbearable burden.
You were dead.
The Great Dragon Queen, the untamable force they had come to admire, respect, and, in their own ways, even fear, was gone.
Hawks stood with his wings drooping low, a rare vulnerability etched across his usually confident face. His golden eyes shimmered with unspoken sorrow, and his hands flexed uselessly at his sides, as if trying to grasp the weight of what had just happened.
Dabi's cold mask cracked for the first time. His blue eyes, which had always burned with flames of rebellion and disdain, were now hollow. He stood motionless, his hands stuffed in his pockets, his jaw tight. He didn't speak a word, didn't even sneer, his usual fiery energy extinguished.
Twice hugged himself, his conflicting personalities eerily silent as his shoulders trembled. Toga, always so lively, now stood still, her wild grin replaced with a vacant stare. Her hands clutched her chest as if trying to hold together a heart that felt like it was breaking.
Spinner gripped the hilt of his sword tightly, his knuckles white as his usually determined expression sagged. Mr. Compress removed his mask for once, revealing a face lined with grief, his lips pressed into a tight, grim line.
Shigaraki's scarred hands twitched at his sides, his red eyes wide and empty as he processed the news. The one he thought would never fall—the unstoppable dragon—was no more. Even Kurogiri, whose stoic presence rarely faltered, flickered faintly, his mist-like form unstable, betraying the weight of the loss he felt.
In that moment, enemies, allies, and everyone in between were united in their grief. You were a force that transcended sides, a beacon of power and spirit that demanded reverence. Now, the world was dimmer, colder, and far too quiet without the roar of the Dragon Queen.
