"HEY, HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THE SPACE NEEDLE?" Jungkook asked Taehyung as they walked down the sidewalk in a cluster, like a herd. He had wiggled his way beside the man who walked with his hand locked in with Aspen's.

Taehyung looked at the young man with confusion. "...No?" He answered in question. He had no idea what a "Space Needle" was. Was it another human thing he didn't understand.

"Aspen, can we take Taehyung to see the Space Needle?" Jungkook asked the older woman with a starry sparkle in his wide eyes. His eyes much reminded her of Taehyung's when he was confused, wide and needlessly, yet beautifully bright.

Aspen shrugged. "Yeah. We're headed that way anyways. I've been meaning to show him." She wanted to see his reaction to it anyways.

Jungkook grinned that wide, infamous, well-loved bunny grin before turning to Taehyung. "It's really cool. It's called the Space Needle because the top of the tower looks like a spaceship." He explained to his friend.

Taehyung's eyebrows knitted together. A sense of realization came over him and his lips turned to a little "oh" shape before looking down at Aspen with a small, knowing smile. "You are... ridiculous." He chuckled softly, amused by her inside joke.

Aspen smiled a toothy smile at him. "I have no idea what you're talking about." Her ignorance was feign and they both knew it. Taehyung was getting better at picking up on tones and identifying sarcasm.

Jimin stood a bit behind them, watching the two interact with a dark, jealous gaze. He just couldn't stand the fact that she was with him. It was always just like this, she'd fall for some new guy who'd sweep her off her feet and capture her pretty little heart, only to leave it in shambles as she attempts to pick up the pieces and form them back together into something that couldn't be identified. She was left so scattered that she was almost unrecognizable.

Jimin didn't like him, nor trust him.

He walked up and draped his arm over Aspen's shoulders lazily with a sky smile. "Yeah, you and Jungkook can go up while Aspen and I stay down here." He pulled Aspen close to him, glaring at Taehyung daringly.

Taehyung glared right back, eying his arm around her with a dark, glaring gaze of burning anger. "Get you arm off of her."

Jimin sneered at him. "Or what?" He dared. Taehyung was about to give him a piece of his mind when Aspen put her arm and put her hand on his chest. "Calm down." She whispered before taking Jimin's arm off of her.

"You need to stop." She told Jimin, her tone and expression serious. She was no longer playing with him. It wasn't getting through to him just by brushing him off. Jimin couldn't let their brief interlude of passion die and she needed him to let it goes. She's moved on. Jimin pouted his brows furrowing. "You never have a problem with it any other time."

Aspen looked to Taehyung who's arms were crossed over his chest, his strong jaw clenched tightly as he held back from lashing out. Jealously was still new to him and he was having a had time containing it. He glared at Jimin like he had blown up his dog or something insane. His arm circled around Aspens waist possessively, pulling her close to him as if Jimin was about to snatch her away from him.

"Taehyung's my boyfriend." Aspen explained to the silver-haired man. "You can understand why he's so angry."

Jimin glanced at Taehyung, a small scowl forming on his plump lips. So they were dating. He knew that he had no claim over Aspen and they were nothing more than friends who...helped each other in the past.

Ever since then, Jimin's possessed feelings for Aspen that he hadn't felt before. Whenever she came around he would flirt with her, making his feelings apparent to her only for her to perceive them as jokes of him just being his flirty self.

It was frustrating, infuriating.

And now she had a boyfriend.

Jimin huffed and moved away from Aspen, making Taehyung's tense posture relax a bit as he moved closer to Aspen, marking and claiming her as his to Jimin because he was the only person Taehyung cared to warn. He needed the man to know that he can't have her. That Aspen was his chosen mate.

They walked down the street a few blocks. Standing tall, you could see the Space Needle above everything else. Taehyung stared at it with an amused smile. The complete irony.

When they approached the actual building, Taehyung looked up at it and then chuckled. "Humans." He murmured. "Such curious creatures."

Aspen shrugged. "Well, it's not like we've been able to get an up close look at an alien spaceship before. It's based off of supposed UFO sightings." Taehyung looked down at her. "Yes, I have heard that aliens tend to abduct people based on human speculation. I do not believe my people have ever done such a thing before, but I would not know."

Aspen never really thought about that. If Taehyung and his people existed then that means that there were other civilizations, other aliens that could be visiting Earth, whether to cause chaos and harm or in peace. She still couldn't be sure what Taehyung's people's intentions were.

Taehyung scratched his head. "I guess there could be a ship that looks like that, but I've never seen one like it. This was my first time venturing from my homeplanet." He whispers to her.

"Can we go up?" Jungkook asked, approaching the couple. Aspen looked at him as cringed. "Not today." Her fear of heights would never allow her to do so. She was much better off admiring the structure from the outside.

Taehyung and Jungkook both whined out in protest as if they were one person, both wanted to go up to the observatory and look out at the city. Aspen shook her head. "I said what I said. I'm not willing to wait in line today." She never told anyone she had a severe fear of heights. It never ally came up in conversation and she didn't need Jin to tease her for it.

Jungkook clicked his tongue and patted her shoulder. "You are far too lazy." His words earned him a slap on the back, making the younger man whine. "What the hell was that for?"

"Not all of us can be giant, walking, talking muscle, Kookie."

Taehyung opened his mouth and raises his finger to disagree and correct her, but before he even said a word, he gave up and left it alone.

"Because I go to the gym." Jungkook countered before shaking his head. "I'm over it anyways. I probably won't have enough patience to wait."

"So we're not going up?" Hoseok concluded, approaching the 3 of them, soon followed by Yoongi, Jimin, and Jin. Jimin was far back, watching Taehyung and Aspen with distrust and hurt.

He wanted her, but he couldn't have her.

"Chim, you coming?" Aspen called, seeing Jimin standing the the far back as they were ready to move one. Jimin perked up at the sound of her voice and nodded, jogging to catch up with the rest of group.

From the back, he watched as Taehyung put his arm over her shoulders, pulling her to his side as they walked together. Aspen rested her head in his shoulder and he kissed her head. Jimin filled with anger, but he forced it down. He cared for Aspen, he truly did, so if that meant he had to sit there and watched the woman he's had a crush on for so long be happy with someone else than that's what he'd have to do.

But he had to make sure that Taehyung, as...nice as he seemed, wouldn't hurt her.

Jimin walked forward and up in front of the couple. "Can I talk to Taehyung for a minute?" He asked Aspen.

Taehyung looked at him with a scowl while Aspen looked kind of hesitant.

"I'm not trying to start anything. I just need to talk to him for a moment. Nothing more." Jimin assured her with a confident smile.

Aspen looked up at Taehyung and then back to Jimin. She trusted Jimin despite everything so, she let Taehyung go. "Be nice." She told Taehyung, patting his back to signal him to go with Jimin. Taehyung pursed his lips, but followed Jimin up to the front.

"What do you want?" He grumbled to the smaller man as they walked side by side, shoulder to shoulder. Jimin looked up at him, his eyes sharp and keen as his eyes scanned over his face, void of any flaws like acne. His jaw worked, but he kept his anger back.

"So...you and Aspen are dating."

Taehyung looked at him, saying nothing. He nodded.

"You know, she just had another boyfriend not too long before she met you." Jimin continued. "She made some mistakes and she will make mistakes...she's not very good at keeping boyfriends." He chuckled. "It's not her fault, all the guys she's gotten with are all assholes who only want her for her body."

Taehyung didn't know where this was going, but she still kept quiet.

"She deserves love and respect. She's gotten her heart broken far too many times, it's the very least the world owes her."

Jimin looked at Taehyung dead in the eyes. "So do that. Love her with everything you have because she deserves nothing less than your everything. I'll back off. Just...make her happy."

Taehyung stared into Jimin's eyes as well, trying to find any sort of lie in the windows to his very soul, but there was none that he could find. Jimin was being honest and truthful. So, Taehyung nodded. "I will try my hardest." Jimin shook his head. "I don't need or want you to try your hardest. I want you to do it because if you can't you need to go and leave her alone before it ends in more heartbreak than she can handle."

Taehyung swallowed. "Of course. I will love her with everything I have."

Jimin looked away, focusing his attention ahead of them. His jaw tensed slightly. This didn't make Jimin happy even in the slightest, but this wasn't about his happiness. It would be selfish for him to pry her away from someone who obviously made her happy just to please him. "Thank you. Now get back to her before I punch you in your perfect face."

Taehyung was confused on how he could tell him all of that, making him promise to love Aspen, and then threaten to punch him in his face.

Fucking humans man.

So Jimin isn't as bad as he's made out to be. He just wants Aspen to he happy. Even if that wasn't with him.

Also, the whole Space Needle thing is the reason why I chose Seattle for this book. I was wondering if anyone would get it.
