I heard you singing while I hid behind a nearby tree.

It was hard to hear but I noticed you only said every other line.

"I miss you." you sang. "I miss you."

You had the most beautiful voice.

After you finished you began to laugh, though something seemed off.

I peeked from behind my tree and saw you.

You were crying.

With the biggest smile on your face.

Then you spoke again.

I leaned in more to hear you better.

"Your voice was always better than mine, Jae." you said.

Jae again. Who is Jae? I thought.

Right as I was about to move back behind the tree, I tripped and landed face first on the ground.

"Shoot!" I called.
