I was still confused.

So Jae was real?

Not imaginary?

And he... he.. died?

Just the thought of it made me wanna gag.

Not to mention the way Chaeyoung was acting at the moment.

As if she was on the brink of madness.

But I still wasn't sure if I could honestly believe her.

I mean, what if she'd already lost it a while ago?

What if her memories and fantasies had started to mix?

She could've tricked herself into believing a false reality.

Couldn't she have?

While lost in thought I continued to follow her, attempting to put the pieces all together.

And due to the abundant amount of thoughts going through my head,

I hadn't even noticed that we'd gotten to our destination until Chaeyoung spoke up.

"Yugyeom," she started, actually using my name this time. I snapped out of my thoughts and took in our surroundings.

"I'd like you to meet Choi Youngjae," she said, causing me to focus on the direction she was motioning in.

"My best friend," she finished.

I looked down and saw a stone wedged in the ground looking like all the other ones around us.

My heart sank and it all came into realization.
