LEE MYUNGHEE
The girl got all kinds of looks from the new arena she just discovered, the smell of grease and the never-ending sounds of engine roaring started to familiarise themselves with her. Myunghee was sure hooked to the place, the air around here completely different from what she was used to.
"Who's the hottie?" Myunghee heard someone ask from behind and turned when she saw how Jeno turned to respond to the voice. Another man she felt she'd seen before but she maintained her composure, as always.
"Myunghee, that's Donghyuck," Jeno introduces the two, and Donghyuck extends a hand forward, taking her palm in his before slyly bowing down in front of the girl.
"It's Haechan for you," he says to Myunghee who repeats the name in her head so as to not forget it if she ever does see him again. Haechan had the attributes of a swayer, Myunghee could tell right away he was the flirty extrovert around the place. Dressed in leather jeans, chains around the hips and the pockets of his jeans, topped with silk blue coat.
"You're the special topic here, I'm sure you'll be accepted pretty soon," Haechan informs and Myunghee frowns just a bit at his words.
"Accepted, what is this a cult of some sort?" The girl says and Haechan brings his hand forward, denying the statement by shaking his head.
"Also, how am I a special topic? I only just got here," Myunghee says, her voice lower as she looked between the two ethereal men in front of her. The looked at each other before looking back at the girl, not much of a height difference as the girl stood a strong height at 5'8".
Haechan fished for the phone in one of his pockets before swiping a few times, only to show her something totally out of her expectations. It was a video of her and the girl she only met once- Yves, the footage was from when she refused her dare, and as a result, the kiss. It lasted throughout, from the groping to the makeout, and Myunghee was at a loss for words.
"This is quite normal here, we don't judge either so you don't need to worry. No one's gonna bully you about the vid," Haechan says and Jeno nods, his eyebrows a bit lifted to show that he was serious.
"Don't judge? I'm not bi," the girl says softly, eyes still a bit widened from how normally the guys spoke about her sexuality, though indirect.
"Sure hun, keep telling yourself that," Haechan says teasingly, earning a quick nudge from Jeno to his hips making the younger boy whine in pain.
"The girl, Yves, don't freak out if you see her, she's one among us too," Jeno informs looking intently at the girl who had a huge death wish upon herself.
"C'mon already," Haechan says, motioning the two to follow him. It was only now Myunghee really knew how huge this place was. An entire stadium ground and a large penthouse at the far end, unlike the party she was at, it wasn't noisy, sure there was music at some places but the place just seemed too aesthetic to be real.
The lodge was lit with bright purple LED lights which her pupils got used to soon enough, she followed the boys, not surprised at how much of a social butterfly Haechan was, fist-bumping almost all the people that past them. She got all sorts of looks from the people she didn't know.
The walked past corridors finally nearing a curtain made of pearl strings, her hands lingered on the pretty ornament before she continued following the boys.
"Make sure you don't go there too often," Haechan pointed towards one end of the hall and she knew just why, the smell of smoke and cannabis not all too new to her. Her senses strong enough to have understood what went on to the place Haechan forbid her from.
They neared a new group of individuals and there Myunghee saw someone she knew.
"Renjun," Myunghee voiced earning his attention.
"It's a small world," he said as the two smiled at each other when Renjun rose up from his seat to shake hands with the girl.
"Well that's Chenle and finally Jaemin," Jeno calls out and while Chenle gave her a small smile, Jaemin just gives her a small nod before going back to the cocktail from his glass. Regardless, Myunghee hadn't felt outcasted much at all, something new to her. She felt the familiar tug on her throat but she didn't want to leave just yet. She waited for Jeno to start talking about the job but decided to wait.
The members spoke to each other, laughing whenever Renjun and Haechan had a little bicker on their end. Jeno made sure Myunghee felt like she was a part of them, not giving her any space to call herself an outsider.
Chenle seemed to get along just fine after some time but her eyes kept going back to Jaemin who was lost in his drink, his eyes a bit gloomy. He smiled a bit every now and then to let the others know he was part of their conversation but Myunghee saw right through the boy.
"I don't know if you find us boring but don't worry, in some more time you'd know why you're here," Jeno says, his eye smile invading her sight once again, causing her to smile as well. Flinching when she heard Chenle's loud laugh.
She noticed Jaemin excusing himself, leaving his empty glass behind. She watched his figure leaving and only then, the tug on her throat got rougher, the smell of fresh cannabis from the other side of the room not doing her much justice.
"Jeno, I'll be right back yeah?" The girl lets him know who looks at her worriedly before nodding.
"Don't go too far alright," Jeno tells her and soon enough, she walks out to the open, it took a while but she managed to find a little space with no one there apart from the few figures that were at least fifty meters away from her. She stood in front of the narrow door built for one person to pass through at a time.
Her hands went for her packet of cigarettes, fetching one out and repeating her routine, filtrating the smoke in her body before puffing it out. She hissed at the feeling of instant comfort. She knew it had become a habit, an addiction too maybe but she didn't want to fight with the urges of her body.
"You and Jeno?" Myunghee heard from next to her and turned to see Jaemin at a small distance from her. She was almost done with her cigar, out of respect, being a person with humility, she dropped the almost- finished cigarette, stepping on it after.
"Nope, he said something about a job," Myunghee answers, and Jaemin nods, now walking closer to the girl, standing on the other end of the narrow door.
"The races are starting, C'mon you two."
