"We're pouring tons of notes behind your education and this is what you do for us in return !?"

"...Dad I tried-"

"No you didn't. You absolutely did not try even to your miniscule capacity. Stop feeding me with your lies!"

...

Dad screamed to his heart's content, mom nodding her head and supporting her husband and there's me who can't help but keep my eyes glued to the marble floor.

Same shit, different day.

Grades, marks and scores. And to top it all, a label saying "topper of the school".

Yeah, that's all my parents wanted from me. But me, being the most worthless, uncivilized and dumbest child couldn't provide them with any.

A number of times thoughts like 'giving up everything', 'ending it once for all for good' crossed my mind. But I never tried them. Well that's not only because I was a coward but I also thought the amount of money my parents would be spending again for my funeral and after-funeral services, if they do one, obviously.

Just how they did with her.

"I think the rules of this school aren't that strict enough to keep you in your line, young man. So I took that decision that...you need to say goodbye to your school because next week you are going to be admitted to a new school."

I still maintained my posture. This is my 3rd time transferring schools ever since we came to Korea. No amount of protests can make him change his decision.

That's just gonna worsen the whole situation even more.

"And you better learn to behave yourself this time. Or else you don't know what's awaiting in your future..." he hissed the last parts trying to send shivers down my spine which he somewhat succeeded in doing I should say.

"This school is the most prestigious one out of all in Seoul. I don't want you to shit over our names once again. If you possess a brain, roger that straight away. DO YOU GET THAT!?" he harshly dug his nails into my cheeks in the process of making me look at him straight in his eyes.

"Y-yes dad...I will do my b-best.."

"Hope you stay true to your words. Or else be ready to say goodbye to your surname forever." he said throwing me harshly on the ground as he and his wife walked away.

...

Wiping the blood oozing out of my lips, I made my way to my bedroom and lied down on the bed.

Numbness. The only word that was close enough to describe what I am going through right now.

'...another struggle. Let's gear up for that.' I thought as I tried to forget all the threats and pains.

But tears continued to stream down my cheeks giving a stinging sensation on the freshly dug out skin.

My eyes started to feel heavy and in no time I found myself under the duvets.

One day successfully wasted.
