Kartik's pov
But just then my car stopped suddenly. We looked at each other perplexed.!!

"Wait!.. let me check !.. what's the problem."
I said and naira nodded!!

I came out of the car. It was still raining heavily. I raised my hand upwards and kept it above the head to protect myself from rain but it was of no use.

Just then I felt raindrops were no more falling on me. I saw an umbrella and then I saw her holding an umbrella . I smiled which she reciprocated.

"Actually,I saw it on the backseat and you were also getting drenched in rain..so umm...I brought it"..She said this hesitantly.

All this while,I was just looking at her,She was looking so cute while fumbling. How can someone look so cute?!

But then I composed myself and said
"Thank you,Naira..no Need of explanation."
I told her in a soft tone.

She smiled and Then I paved my way towards the car's front. She walked with me as she was holding umbrella. I could see smoke coming out of the car's fronthood(bonnet). I anticipated the situation but wished it not to be true because I don't know how will we manage as it's raining heavily and there are very less chances of mechanic to come and repair and when I opened the fronthood(bonnet) and ...my anticipation was proved right.!!oh no!!. It was a leakage of coolant.Naira was standing beside me still holding the umbrella. Her soft hands would be paining. I didn't want her to hold umbrella for this long time but it's taking time. Then I thought something and

I took my phone out and called mechanic..but he refused to come as it was raining heavily.!!..I sighed and looked at naira who was already looking at me with a confused expression.

I again looked at my phone that I saw that it's dead. I rubbed my forehead in tension. Just then she said in her soft , soothing voice

"What's the problem?" She asked me.

"It won't work,now." I told her.

"What?..I mean what do you mean Sir?" She again asked me.

Then I told her the whole situation. She thought for sometime,scrunching her nose, narrowing her eyes..like doing this will give her any idea. She was looking so cute doing that..I want to pull her cheeks..ok!..ok!..control Kartik..I said to myself!

I chuckled and she said abruptly-"idea"

"Call at your home ." She asked me and shrugged her shoulders.

"It won't work as my phone is dead." I said and showed my phone to her.

"But I have my phone,Take this."- she said.

Now it's your time to get embarrassed Kartik. Very good!!..now ,what will I tell to her ..The great KG does not know his home's no. Very good! Even kids of five years know that!!..I was cursing myself that she interrupted.

"Take this,Sir"- she asked me and held her phone in air.

"I don't know my home's no. Or any other no.except mine." I blurted it and closed my eyes but I could hear a lovely laughter. I opened my eyes and saw her laughing her heads off but still there was something missing..I don't know ..Why I feel like that but still she was looking so beautiful while laughing. I stared at her for sometime with amused smile but then she realised something and stopped laughing. I wanted to hear her laugh more but she stopped. I felt bad!!..

She was embarrassed!..so I decided to speak up!!!..

"Ok!.ok!..bas bahut mazak uda liya mera!!..ab kya krna h ye socho.?!" I said and pouted.

Her expression changed within no time but before I decipher that she came back to her normal expressions. I saw hither and thither and noticed a hut/cottage.

"Naira,see..there is a hut ..we can stay there for tonight." I told her but I saw some worried and confused expressions on her face.

"Naira,I know you must be thinking that how can you stay with me there. We don't have any option other than this. I won't do anything which may offend you,I respect you a lot..I mean I respect women a lot. Please trust me. I won't break your trust.!!.."I told her .

She was about to say something that I asked her-
"Do you have a pepper spray?". She nodded.

"Do you know how to use that?". She again nodded.

"So, what's the problem?!. if you think I am going to harm you or something. Use it simple.right?..I said and chuckled.

She smiled and said-"I trust you, Sir". Although these were only three words but These words gave me relief, content, bliss and what not?!!

Then she asked me -"chale?"

I nodded and went with her to that cottage.

I collected some hay which were scattered here and there in the cottage.

We both were drenched. That small umbrella couldn't protect us from getting drenched. So,we decided to ignite a fire. So here I am.

I collected them. I asked naira ,she was sitting beside me at a respectable distance.

"Do you have anything to put them on fire".

She searched something in her bag and came up with a lighter. I looked at her shocked.

"You smoke?" I asked her bewildered.

"No!, It's for safety"she replied. I heaved a sigh of relief but then I gulped in fear. Kartik bach kr rehna pdega, I thought.

She with the help of lighter put hay on fire but in doing this, her hand burnt. Not that much but a small part..I saw it ..it became red. It would be paining..I took her hand in mine and blew air on that portion without giving a second thought.

"Is it fine?."I asked her...

"Jyada dard ho rha h kya?" ..I again asked her still blewing.

But she didn't reply. I looked at her.. I could see some tears rolling down on her cheeks. She immediately wiped them.

"Hey Naira,zyada dard ho rha h kya?" I asked in soft voice.

"No sir" -she said and took her hands from my hold!!

I understood this pain is not the reason of her tears.. the reason is different.

"Naira,If you want to share something ..then you can share with me." I said looking directly in her eyes.

"Any pain?"..I asked her in a soothing voice.

"No sir, Everything is fine.. something got struck in my eyes..but it's fine now!!".she replied.

"Really?". I asked her ...I looked in her eyes and she looked in mine.

Naira's pov

When kartik sir took my hand in his hand and started blewing air on burnt part. I remembered my mumma-papa. He asked me in a caring voice about my pain!!..I felt that ice inside started melting which I made outside my heart after I left my mumma-papa for doing job. I made that because I know we have to live in this cruel world,not expecting care from anyone. But that damn ice outside my heart melt and that came outside in the form of my tears but then I composed myself. Sir asked me again..He looked directly in my eyes ..I also looked in his eyes without giving a second thought!!

Some Tears roll down on Naira's cheek. She wiped her tears. Kartik trying to know her sorrow through his eyes.

Teary eyes looking into assuring ones. Teary eyes seeking love, care and protection and assuring ones assuring the same.
