"And I think that...Yoongi's my soulmate."

"You're kidding..." Jin steps back, chuckling humourlessly. "It is not possible...you know that,"

Hayoung shakes her head, pressing her lips and looks down at her feet.

"It's probably only you, otherwise he would be having such dreams too right?" Jin pushes his hair back, gnawing his lower lip. "He didn't say anything to me, not to you...It's probably not true.

"Jin..." Hayoung whispers, leaning on the platform to support her weight. Everything feels so heavy, too much to take. "If I have been seeing him in my dreams, I am sure he is too, seeing me in his."

Jin shakes his head, denying. "It's not possible Hayoung, you've met him before. You...he always said he thinks he is untied...but still let's say he's a Pen Pal...for keeping hope, but it still doesn't make sense!"

Jin turns around, walking out of the bathroom. Hayoung follows him, "Jin—"

"But I love you, Hayoung," Jin interrupts her. "You do too, right..?"

"I do, I love you but he is my soulmate and—"

"That's it. We don't care right?" He turns his head away from her,"We don't care who is our soulmate right? We love each other... that's it,"

Hayoung closes her eyes for a moment before stepping towards him. She interlaces her fingers with his and Jin leans down, placing his forehead against his. Hayoung closes her eyes and kisses him softly as if a feather just brush past his lips. Jin shudders.

"We love each other..yes...but what if one day you wake up and see an age line or a strand of grey hair in the mirror..." she leans back to look into his eyes but he refuses to open them. Placing her hand on his cheek, Jin exhales and opens his eyes to look at her. "What if someone turns up at your doorstep and they are your soulmate whom you have to spend your life with?"

"I won't care."

She hates seeing Jin like this. Puffy eyes, quivering lips and slump shoulders. Him hurting. She is the reason for it.

"We don't even know who is my soulmate or whether they are a boy, girl, old, young, married or single...we don't even know if they are alive." he continues. "So I won't care, don't care."

She is the reason for everything.

"And what about Yoongi?" Hayoung murmurs against his lips. Hurt flashes in Jin's eyes, "You don't love him. That's more than enough."

"That's not how it works..."

Jin steps back but doesn't let go of her but he still feels her slipping through his hold. "Why do you care? Are you willing to make it  work?"

Hayoung sniffs, saying nothing. It hurts Jin more and he pulls her close, looking right into her eyes. "He just shares some mere dreams with you, just some mere dreams. What big deal are they?"

"They aren't just mere dreams Jin...they show me something—" Hayoung looks away from him, unable to keep with his burning gaze.

Jin's hold tightens on her arms, making her hiss. " I, Hayoung, I share my everything with you!" he breathes, realising how tight he was holding her and whispers, "Without you...I would have nothing..."

"Jin..."

"What do you want me to do?" Jin lets go of her, sitting down on the edge of the bed with a thump."Do you want to break up? Break up and let stupid fate decide who you need to spend your life with?"

"It's not stupid.. everything is for a reason..." Hayoung says, monotonously.

Jin scoffs bitterly. "So you think, sharing some dreams with someone else whom you don't even love, is for a reason? And you want to break up because of that? Is my love this hollow—"

"But it should be you!"Hayoung interrupts, screaming. Her body shakes, slightly losing her balance but Jin holds her up. She opens her eyes, looking into Jin's and whispers," You are supposed to see those dreams..not him...not him!"

Jin sighs at that, letting go of Hayoung.

"Let's just take a break, huh? If Yoongi doesn't say anything about this...we won't have a problem..." Hayoung says, looking down at her feet.

"And if he does, we will?" Jin closes his eyes, feeling a headache throb at the back of his head. "How many times do I need to tell you that I love you and nothing can change that! If you are so ready to change your heart just because of this then..." his breath shudders before he mumbles, "Then I would take it as you never loved me..."

"I do love you, Jin, I always have!" Hayoung cries, clutching onto the fabric of his sleeve.

"You have been with me for four years. You knew within months that you aren't my soulmate. You never cared but you suddenly do. What else can I think? That you were just waiting for your soulmate to show up, keeping me as a backup plan?" He says, calmly, walking towards the door.

"Jin, you know I would never," Hayoung says. She grabs his sleeve to stop him from walking out of the house. He pushes her hand away, picks his coat up from the chair and stuffs his feet in his shoes.  "Jin, let's just talk...where—"

"I will call you later...I need to go somewhere right now," he says, looking back at her for the last time before walking out and closing the door behind him. She shuts her eyes, her figure melting to the floor.

I am so sorry Jin.

...

Yoongi told him to meet her. Jungkook definitely wants to do that, except he is not sure if he should even take the risk.  He doesn't even get why he's hesitating so much. Even Arin mentioned his soulmate, so there might be a possibility that his hunch is right.

But what if that kid was messing around.

"Jungkookie~"

Name the brat, and the brat appears. Jungkook scoffs.

"Why, why, why, why are you here again?" Jungkook whines, turning around in his chair when Arin enters his bedroom. She walks around like she owns the house, it makes Jungkook laugh because he's never seen such an indifferent fan at all.

Arin smiles, before crawling on his bed and Jungkook whines that her feet are dirty. "Because I choose you as my bias now," she says, slipping herself inside his blankets.

"Huh?" Jungkook looks at her in confusion. "What do you keep blabbering all the time?"

She shakes her head, groaning as she lets herself get comfortable on his bed. "Nevermind, I baked cookies today, you can taste them...I kept them on the dining table," she murmurs, voice sleepy. "I brought them for Jimin but he won't even look at it. You can have them then."

Jungkook scoffs, rolling his eyes. "I am surely not having them then."

Arin closes her eyes, "Throw them in the dustbin after I am gone then."

That takes Jungkook by surprise. He looks over at Arin, who he thinks has already slipped into dreamland and notices her chapped lips, slightly paler skin and she just looks tired in general. He sighs, nodding. "Exams must be giving her a hard time."

"No," Arin abruptly sits up, startling Jungkook. He scoffs when she glares at him. "You think we don't have any other problems than exams?" She pauses before gritting her teeth, "Your dear Hyung, ha, Mr Park Jimin has been, my biggest problem right now. I don't get did I do something so wrong for him to be so difficult?"

Jungkook leans back on his chair, listening to the younger ramble.

"He's been an asshole from the start. Did I ever say that the string was a soulmate string? Did he bother to ask me? I didn't, he didn't!" Arin shouts, frustration evident in her voice. "He didn't have to be the laughing stock of hundreds of people. He didn't have to hide things from his sister and then get scolded. He is not the one who is having it difficult. Why is he not even willing to see me? Why does he keep himself locked up in his room? What have I ever done to him?"

Jungkook sighs, nodding. Arin realises she spoke too much and immediately jumps to another topic, "Did you meet your soulmate yet?"

Jungkook gives her a pointed look but shakes his head.  Arin nods, "You will, you will, everyone will.  Jin's going to have it difficult but he'll get through it probably."

"You are really crazy huh?" Jungkook scoffs.

"Why will I have it difficult?"

Jungkook stills, hearing the eldest's voice. It sounds edgy, not very warm like he usually does.

"Alright, my work is done here. I will be going now," Arin says, standing up from the bed and saluting at Jungkook. He scoffs, "What was your work here?"

"To keep your loner ass some company." Arin smiles, it's playful but instead of walking out of the room, she walks inside the bathroom. "Hey, where are you going—" Jungkook says, turning towards Jin who gasps when he looks at Jungkook.

"Thank you for the body wash and shampoo," Arin says, walking out with the items in her hand. Jungkook nods, trying to say 'it somehow turned out this way. and turns to her. "Those are mine and new though..."

"I have a plan, so I will be taking these. You are a millionaire so you can probably buy another one right?" Arin says hugging the products and smiling sweetly at him.

"Why should I? Is my room a hotel where you can take away things after your stay?" Jungkook scoffs, "And don't smile like that, you are scary enough."

"Sounds interesting, does your hotel have a spare room for an overnight stay?" Arin says, walking out. She bows at Jin before turning to Jungkook and winking, "If not, I will be staying over for the night, then, byeee" with that she runs out of the room.

Jungkook scoffs in disbelief, shaking his head.

"What are those..." Jin points at Jungkook's tattoos, lips parted in awe.
