❀ while theadora has never publicly named her father, she has shared that he left her and her mother shortly after she was born. from then onwards she was raised solely by her toxic and controlling single mother, anne james, whose main concern was making her daughter a star in order to pay the ever-piling bills.

❀ anne got her daughter signed to a child acting agency when thea was six years old and began attending auditions that same age.

❀ theadoras mother became addicted to using drugs in when thea was only freshly ten years old. it became dangerous and violent fast, so theadora threw herself even further into her biggest passion, acting, as a way to escape—despite her mother keeping her daughters earnings entirely to herself.

2016, age 10/11
❀ in the early months of 2016 thea booked the role of charlotte jacobs on season 13 of greys anatomy, which also extended onto abcs spinoff titled station 19. filming for season 13 began in march, and its first episode aired in september of that same year. thea continued on greys until its 20th season and station 19 for the rest of its seven season run. while the series itself took place in seattle washington, filming was stationed in los angeles california.

❀ season one of stranger things hit netflix in july of 2016, shortly after thea's eleventh birthday.

❀ in august of 2016 thea booked a supporting role as Mother Gothels daughter, Mavis 'Maeve' Gothel, in Disneys second installment of the Descendants series. filming lasted from early september 2016 to the end of october that same year.

❀ ten year old thea began 'couch hopping' to avoid having to go home to her mother; she would sleepover at the homes of various trusted co-stars or other close friends within the industry, including taylor and past or present co-stars. this was obviously kept private and never revealed to the media.

❀ filming for season two of stranger things began in november 2016, age eleven. throughout shooting, theadora stayed with various adult cast members such as joe keery, natalia dyer, charlie heaton, or winona ryder in order to avoid needing to be around her mother as much as possible.

❀ thea quickly came to the realization that she must be more careful with hiding her paychecks from her mother to avoid anne taking her daughters hard-earned money for her own uses.

2018, ages 12/13
❀ thea began filming season three of stranger things in the spring of 2018, aged twelve. she stayed with older co-stars while shooting once again and was able to wrap her characters scenes by the end of may in order to work around the descendants 3 filming schedule.

2019, ages 13/14
❀ filming birds of prey began in January of 2019 and lasted until april of that same year.

❀ in may, theadora landed the role of ruby miller in netflix's Outer Banks which shot in South Carolina.

❀ thea officially filed for emancipation in june, specifically on the day of her fourteenth birthday, and was granted it by the court once she proved she was more than capable of taking care of herself; or at least better than her mother, who had easily signed the emancipation papers without much care. using money saved from previous roles, thea permanently and fully moved herself from her home-state of tennessee into a small apartment in california. after this move, she promptly cut all ties with her worsening mother.

❀ in early july, thea flew to Charleston alone to begin filming Outer Banks. she stayed in an apartment with two of her cast mates, Madelyn Cline and Madison Bailey, during the shooting of the first season. theadora continued on the show for the rest of its five season run.

❀ filming for outer banks wrapped in september and by november theadora was in los angeles shooting a pilot for showtime titled yellowjackets. the storyline revolves around a highschool girls soccer team whose plane crashes in the middle of the canadian wilderness on the way to nationals. theadora portrays gabrielle—a young girl who'd been abducted by her father and living in an cabin that the crash victims stumble upon... at the worst possible time.

2020, ages 14/15
❀ theadora began shooting season four of stranger things in january. however, due to the covid pandemic, filming was paused in february 2020 before resuming in september that same year, after theadora had turned fifteen.

❀ filming for Outer Banks season two began in september 2020 and lasted until april 2021.

2021, ages 15/16
❀ yellowjackets began shooting the rest of the first season in vancouver in may of 2021.

❀ in late spring theadora booked the starring role of elliott in my old ass alongside maddie ziegler and aubrey plaza. the film shot from august to october 2022 while thea was seventeen.

2023, ages 17/18
❀ also at seventeen years old thea starred in another one of taylor's music videos, this one for her song titled "i can see you."

❀ in january thea began shooting a fourth installment of the Descendants franchise, Return of Mavis. she starred as the titular character, returning as Mavis Gothel.

❀ in 2023, aged eighteen, thea began filming season twenty of grey's anatomy and season four of outer banks. season twenty would be the last recurring season for thea's character in order to provide more time in the teens busy schedule for other projects. she only appeared in a small handful of episodes/scenes in this final season to slowly say goodbye to her character; however it has been confirmed that 'charlotte' will continue to make occasional appearances and her character would continue to be mentioned often.

Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) and his girlfriend, dr. Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington). the couple takes charlie under their wing & she is soon introduced to an entire community of doctors. after choosing to remain in Seattle, Charlotte also finds refuge in one of the city's finest firehouses when hanging around the hospital gets too boring, finding another chosen family within the tight-knit group of firefighters.
