스물 아홉. Is this true love?

"And that's why in a capitalist society, the prevailing conservative is that the social democracy, higher taxes and budget deficits only serve to extract from the hard-earned pockets of the rich and put this money into the hands of the lazy and decietful poor. The poor are often poor because capitalistic enterprises are unwilling to compensate fairly for their labor in order to maximize their profit. And that's why over the generations, to this day there are still some rich who don't give care to the poor and go with their own luxurious lives as the poor are desperate to bring themselves and their family to safety."

Jungwon took a deep sigh of relief after finishing his paragraph which Jay wrote.

"Why am I the one presenting?!" Jungwon faught.

"Uhm, I'm the one who wrote that paragraph and made the presentation?" Jay raised his eyebrow, making Jungwon huff.

"It's okay, Jungwon! You were great!" Sunoo put up his two thumbs, reassuring the younger he did great with his little speech.

"What's your topic?" Jay asked, closing his laptop.

"Shame. Niki isn't giving any ideas."

"Well at least yours isn't about the economy." Jungwon pouted, making Sunoo ruffle his hair.

Meanwhile,,

Niki picked up a bag of chips with a smile on his face, as well as picking up a pack of chocolate pockies.

"Banana for Jungwon and strawberry for Sunoo."

"Strawberry? I thought he liked chocolate?"

"I think it's strawberry?"

Niki over heard Jake and Sunghoon's coversation, slowly placing back the chocolate sticks and changing them to strawberry flavored ones.

"Niki!"

Niki turned around and showed his warm smile to his hyungs.

"Is that for yourself?" Sunghoon asked him, eyeing the chips and the strawberry pocky.

"The chips are for me and the uh, the pocky is for Sunoo hyung."

Jake and Sunghoon cooed, nudging Niki's shoulder as they head for the check out.

"Uh, hyungs?"

Jake placed the money out of his wallet and turned his head to the younger with a warm smile.

"Yeah?" Sunghoon spoke, taking the plastic bag and thanking the cashier.

"How did you..date?"

Both we're surprised by the question whilst heading out of the store and walking around the campus with their newly bought snacks.

"Well, Jake hyung chased me with sticks till I asked him out- OW!" Sunghoon hissed as Jake pinched him on the wrist.

"That is not what happened! Just- I pestered him till we agreed to date."

"That's the same thing-" Jake silenced Sunghoon making Niki laugh with a handsome smile.

"Why though? Are you-"

"Planning to ask Sunoo out?"

"I WAS GONNA SAY THAT!" Jake huffed at Sunghoon.

Niki found it difficult to answer that very question cause well, they were already dating. But although he wanted to tell them that fact, he remembers promising Sunoo not to tell anyone or at least without his say.

"Uh, yeah. So I was wondering if I could..get your advice in relationships?"

"Ask Jay hyung, he's the best at these things. We've only been dating for a week." Niki's mouth turned to an o before Jake raised an eyebrow.

"But..do you, like Sunoo?"

"Like?"

Oh how Niki just wanted to blurt everything out. Sunoo was his world. He healed him. And to think that he's already dating him is truly a miracle to the boy.

"Like doesn't even describe it.."

Sunghoon cooed as Niki blushes.

"You're head over heels for him!"

"Shh!" Niki chuckled and shushed his hyungs before entering the classroom where the others were to give the snacks.

-

"Maybe we could help you?" Jungwon offered a generous idea.

"It's okay, Jungwon. We're already in grade 12, me and Niki should be able to do this assignment ourselves. Thank you though." Sunoo smiled, standing up from his seat.

"I'll go to the restroom for a minute." The others nodded as Sunoo went out of the room.

Rubbing his hands together from frustration and stress, he heard the familiar voices of his friends talking, seeing familiar shoes as well and hiding behind a wall to hear their conversation continue.

"But..do you, like Sunoo?"

"Like?"

Sunoo bit his lip from nervousness. Why did Niki hesitate and repeat? His heart was beating rapidly.

"Like doesn't even describe it.."

Sunoo sighed from relief a hue of bright red appearing on his cheeks with a cheekly smile.

"You're head over heels for him!"

Was all Sunoo heard after the three entered the classroom.

Sunoo couldn't get his blushing smile off whilst walking to the restroom.

But..

Why? Why did the hyungs ask that?

Did Niki tell?

No, Niki's trustworthy, he wouldn't do that without his consent.

Sunoo walked up to the restroom door with confusion on his face as he heard someone cough.

"Kim Sunoo, right?" The girl smiled.

"May I..help you?" Sunoo was confused. He didn't know who these females were. All he could assume was they were Niki's fangirls.

"So you are the boy Niki is in love with? Or, am I wrong?" She chuckled as her two other friends laughed.

"Uh, I can assure you, Niki and I just are friends."

Oh if Niki were here he would deny it, but he wasn't here. Sunoo needed his reputation to be saved.

Before meeting Niki, his life was much better than how it was now. It was bad but less worse. He got criticized for being loved. He got criticized for being himself.

Why is it that this is the reality we live in?

He knows there will always be people who will not like you, but he still can't bare to get ready for an hour everyday and study hard only to get bullied by everyone in return.

Meeting Niki was both a miracle and painful.

He saved him,,

Yet made his life even worse.

If Niki hadn't shown up, he wouldn't be in so much stress, he shouldn't have had made a decision that could bring him harm, he wouldn't have to face judgements everytime he walks through the halls of school.

"Oh really? The whole school heard Niki's little speech over his love for you. You sure you don't love him too? Huh?" The girl threatened Sunoo, the way her evil gaze pierced through his eyes, it gave him fear.

It was like his fathers.

Shame.

Sunoo gulped and rushed inside the restroom as the three girls laughed, locking the door behind him and leaning back on the frame.

"Pathetic. Is that how low Niki's standards have become?" The girls laughed as Sunoo heard them.

Was Sunoo gonna stoop so low and let a bunch of heathen girls ruin his mood, ruin his day?

Yes, unfortunately yes he was.

Can't blame him though.

Yes he loves Niki, but sometimes he wished Niki hadn't done anything, hadn't said anything.

Yes, he admits Runa bullied him to the core and tested his patience. But that doesn't give Niki the right to announce his love confession for him to the entire school.

He really does like Niki, but he was afraid Niki liked him more than he himself liked Niki.

He was ashamed to be with him in public and he realized that it was something Niki might be disappointed in.

Which to he didn't know was actually true.

They've been dating for a week, yet he can't bare accepting hugs, kisses and just affection in general from the boy around other, yes even their friends.

It's kind of sad, and Sunoo wondered if dating Niki really was a good decision.

One was happy.

One was not.

Hello my readers! Haven't updated in almost a month eye?:) sorry for that, so much school work ergh. Just writing a small note to say, please please pray for ENHYPEN. Recently, all members of ENHYPEN except Sunoo has been tested positive from COVID-19. Heeseung, Jungwon, Jay, Jake and Sunghoon have been announced to be positive 2 days ago, and Niki has been announced to be positive this morning, September 5, 2021. I woke up to these news that these 7 boys lives are on the line. I love them so much that I wish I can do so much more. They are fortunate to be tested twice a day to check their health, and have good people from the medical field around them. I'm sure HYBE and Belift knows what to do. I hope they postpone the comeback and take time to fully recover. Please, pray for them. It's the least we could do. ENHYPEN is so strong, I know they will recover. But still keep praying. Thank you, and keep safe everyone ! <3
