TWO
Your eyes wandered through the screen of the computer, before you leaned back upon your chair to think back to earlier.
If winter had a human body, that's who he'd look like.
You had no idea what was going on with your mind lately but you just couldn't seem to get away from thinking about him.
He just seemed to perfect.
You just couldn't believe it, was there really such a person in this world?
And the fact he was staring right back at you? You thought you had lost your mind.
Just the thought of the possibilities of who else could look that stunning in the snow! Heck, the sun could shine down upon them and make them look like pure Gods.
"Y/n, the managers calling for you." Your thoughts disappeared and your feet immediately starts shuffling up from the couch and out of the break room. You quickly made your way around the mall, eyeing the place to find your boss.
Your feet finally made it to where he stood with your breath in heavy beats. You pulled yourself to look up, gulping. "You called?"
His arms go behind his back as he slowly smiled. "Y/n, I'll be going to my hometown next week and I need someone to watch the mall as I'm away for the time being. And I believe that you'll do great."
You nodded along to his words as you follow behind. "When will you be returning?" As he turns to face you, he smiles. "I'll be back the week after. I'm only visiting my granddaughter for her wedding."
Your eyes gleam as you smile. "Congratulations, I hope it's a beautiful marriage." He starts to laugh before grabbing some papers on his desk. "Thanks so much dear. I knew I could trust you. Here's some of the papers, I'll text you on updates of maintenance dues for some of the days."
You grab the papers and examine them. "I'll do my best."
──
"So your boss wasn't angry at you?" You shook your head. "Unbelievable," She breathed out as she leans back against the sofas in the café. She sipped up her drink before continuing.
"I'm sure if I were to work there, I'd be slacking off so much he'd fire me. The fact he trusts the mall in your care is amazing."
You could only laugh, taking a sip of your drink. Your eyes lifted to face the girl, your eyes catching onto a pair of ice cold eyes.
When noticing two others with him, you lowered your head to avoid eye contact when they decided to look over for no apparent reason. Why would they look over? Did they sense you? How could they though? You only glanced for a second there was no way they could've known. "Y/-" And the one you made eye contact with, wasn't he the same guy you met early? "Hey Y/n-"
It was totally the exact same guy that you met early today. But why would he be here? "Y/n. Let's go." You snapped from your thoughts before getting up just as she did to go.
"I'm going to get back to work, you should just head home if you aren't feeling well. I'll bring you warm soup for dinner later so don't eat to much okay?" You could only nod as you watched her part ways and head towards the police station.
Without much thought, you shift your eyes towards the store.
You gulped in surprise, turning off in hurry towards your home. Why was he still looking at you?
──
You grab the remote to the TV as you settle yourself on the couch to your living room. Bowl of food in your hands. As the screen lit up, you saw the news channel lady appear with the board projecting a recent attack by the so called Mafia's.
You place the remote down on the table as you examine the TV.
"As reported from Mr.Tang, the attack was just yesterday around 4PM when a group of 16 people rampaged the newest building that was supposed to hold the Charity Event for Yu's Orphanage."
Your eyes squinted, feeling a upset feeling in your stomach. Did people really enjoy watching others suffer? How could they do that? And to children who are just finding homes?
Whoever those 16 people were that day, you had hoped all would come down on them and they'd get caught. No person in their right mind would attack and ruin something made to help and support another person.
It was absolutely terrible.
You grabbed the remote turning off the TV before getting up to head to bed.
If there really was a God out there. Please. Stop all this madness, it was just getting to out of hand.
