𝗔𝘃𝗮'𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩

"Roma!" I hear Monroe hiss.

I jump to my feet just as Bellamy approaches me and I give him a sad smile.

"I was too late" I tell him.

"They're playing with us" Finn whisper shouts.

"She only came because of me" Bellamy mumbles with a sad look on his face.

"It's not your fault, Bell" I assure the man.

"They can kill us whenever they want" Finn adds.

"Then they should get it over with!" Jasper screams loudly and my eyes widen "Come on!"

"What the hell are you doing?!" I shriek as Finn runs at him.

"We know you're out there!" Jasper yells.

Bellamy and I run towards them to calm him down but I catch a grounder running at us.

"Bellamy!" Monroe shouts.

I look around us to see there is more than one grounder. All of them coming from different directions.

Suddenly I hear the loud horn that was blown before the acid fog that killed Atom and I turn to the group.

"They're leaving" Bellamy states.

"That horn. What does it mean?" Jasper asks.

"Acid fog" Finn answers pulling out a cover.

"We have to run" Monroe says.

"There's no time" Finn replies.

Finn pulls the cover over the five of us and we lay down, completely still. I lay squished in between Jasper and Finn, wondering why the hell we aren't dead yet and Jasper speaks up.

"How long are we supposed to wait?" He asks.

"Will this even work?" Monroe then asks.

"Probably not" I mumble and Finn elbows me, giving me a dirty look.

"We'll find out" He states and I roll my eyes.

"No, we won't" Bellamy argues and pops his head out the cover.

"There's no fog" He tells us and we all come out too.

"Maybe it was a false alarm?" Finn suggests and I pull myself up, dusting myself off.

"They're coming back" Bellamy speaks up and I look over to see a grounder running through the woods.

"I think he's alone" Jasper comments.

"He is" I confirm after looking around me to see no more grounders.

"Now can we run?" Monroe asks quietly.

"He doesn't see us. I'm going after him" Bellamy says.

"And what? Kill him?" Finn asks and I feel like it's a jab at me so I shoot my best friend a glare.

"No. Catch him. Make him tell me where Octavia is, then kill him" Bellamy replies running after the ground with Monroe on his tail.

that's a bit harsh

"How do we know he's not leading us into another trap?" Jasper asks.

"We don't" Finn answers.

"Come on, guys. Live a little" I joke but when they don't laugh I huff, chasing after Bellamy and Monroe.

We all follow the grounder until he reaches a cave. He enters and Bellamy turns to us putting his finger over his lips as he enters the cave. I follow closely behind with Finn right behind me.

Bellamy and I peer around the corner and I see Octavia kneeling next to the unconscious grounder trying to unlock the chains she is in. She looks up at us and her eyes go to Bellamy first.

"Bellamy?" She croaks.

"Octavia" He sighs in relief, rushing towards her.

"Get the key" She tells him and he grabs it from the ground before unlocking the chains.

"Monroe, watch the entrance!" Bellamy demands and she nods, heading out.

The chains hit the ground and Octavia launches herself at Bellamy, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"It's okay. You're okay" He whispers, hugging her tightly to him.

She let's go of him and her eyes meet mine. I hold out my arms and she limps over to me, swinging her arms around my neck.

"How did you find me?" She asks as I hug her.

"We followed mr unconscious over there" I tell her, patting her back.

She gives me one last squeeze before turning to hug Jasper.

"We should go. Now. Before he wakes up" Octavia tells us in a panicky voice.

"He's not gonna wake up" Bellamy replies.

"Don't kill him!" I object and Bellamy shoots me a look of disbelief as he grabs a spear.

"Bellamy, Stop! He didn't hurt me. Let's just go" Octavia reasons with her brother.

"They started this" He snaps back and walks over to Finn who is kneeling next to the grounder.

"Finn. Move" He demands.

"Foghorn" Finn mumbles and I look to see him holding a wooden horn.

Before anyone can even move, the grounder shoots up and stabs Finn in the stomach.

"Finn!" I cry out, scrambling down next to him.

Bellamy fights with the grounder but I block it out as I kneel next to Finn, trying my best to help him. I try to stop the bleeding and my eyes water as I put pressure on his wound.

"Hey, look at me" I tell him and he looks up at me.

"Stay awake, okay?" I beg and he nods weakly.

"Stop! That's my brother!" Octavia screams and I turn my head slightly to see the grounder holding a spear at Bellamy's throat as he lays on the ground trying to push the spear away from his neck.

Jasper runs up to the grounder and smacks him over the head with a metal pole. Octavia collapses down on the other side of Finn and I look at her in fear.

"We have to get him back to camp. Now!" I shout.

"Do we take the knife out?" Jasper asks.

"No!" Bellamy and I snap in unison.

Jasper rips some material from his shirt and hands it to me so I can wrap it around the knife to try and stop some of the bleeding.

Bellamy picks Finn up and I help Octavia as we all rush back through the forest to camp. We finally reach camp and I throw open the gate.

"Clarke! Where is Clarke?!" Jasper shouts as we walk through the camp gate.

"Clarke!" I holler and she comes running.

"Hey. I'm here. What's up?" She asks.

"Octavia" She says, happy to see the girl.

"Finn!" She gasps when she sees Bellamy carry him into camp.

"Oh, my God. Oh, my God" She mumbles over and over again before checking his pulse.

"Oh, my God" I hear Raven repeat and I grab the girl's hand.

"He's alive" Clarke declares.

"Bellamy and Ava wouldn't let me take the knife out" Jasper tells her as four guys take Finn out of Bellamy's arms.

"No, that was a good call" She counters.

"Get him into the drop ship now! Go!" She yells at the guys and they listen.

"Clarke, can you save him?" Raven asks the older blonde, her hand slipping out of mine.

"No. Not me. I need my mother. I need to talk to her" Clarke tells the girl.

"There's still no radio!" Raven argues.

"Raven, fix it! Go!" Clarke shouts.

Raven runs off in determination and Clarke turns to Octavia with a worried expression.

"Hey, you okay?" She asks her.

"Yeah. Just go" Octavia assures her.

Octavia turns to leave and I walk after her, but I pause when I see Bellamy heading towards her.

"Hey! Hey!" He speaks, grabbing Octavia's arm.

"Why were you defending him?" Bellamy snaps at her, talking about the grounder.

"Because he saved my life. That spear that hit Roma was actually meant-" Shes cut off mid sentence.

"No, you're wrong. I saved your life! For all you know, he was keeping you alive to use you as bait for one of their traps" Bellamy argues with his sister.

"No. I don't think so" Octavia protests.

"You don't think, O! That's the problem. They killed three of our people today. And if you would've let me kill him when I had the chance, Finn wouldn't be in there dying right now" Bellamy blames Octavia and I turn to leave, feeling out of place.

I take a step outside the wall and I'm yanked right back in roughly.

"No one is leaving camp" Bellamy snaps at me.

"Don't be such an asshole" I spit and storm into camp, away from the fighting Blake siblings.

I reach my tent and head inside, throwing my jacket on the ground. I pace back and forth before sitting down and resting my head.

Unanswered questions swirl around in my mind and I groan in frustration.

why is Bellamy such a jackass?

is Finn going to be okay?

who was that girl that saved my life?

what on earth is happening to my life?
