𝗔𝘃𝗮'𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩

After a while of helping around, Octavia takes a break and Clarke wakes up feeling better.

Out of the corner of my eye I see Bellamy and Murphy talking intensely. I approach them and take the cup from Murphy.

"I got it, Murph" I say and he nods, walking away.

"Here" I say, giving Bellamy the cup of water which he accepts.

His fingers touch mine and the heat sends chills up my spine. I retract my hand and smile warmly.

"It's good to see you awake" I comment.

"Is that your way of telling me we're good now?" He asks curiously and I nod softly.

"You seen Octavia?" He wonders.

"She was up all night helping people. Murphy gave her a break" I tell him.

"Don't tell me you trust him now" Bellamy grits out.

"I don't trust him as far as I can throw him, Bell" I scoff and the man smiles softly.

"It's almost dawn" He notices.

"We better get everyone inside. If we lock the doors maybe the grounders will think we're not home" Bellamy says.

"But they'll all get sick" I object.

"Sick is better than dead" He counters.

"You don't think Finn and Jasper can do it" I state, talking about the plan that I was informed of earlier on.

They're going to blow up the bridge to slow down the grounders and buy us some time.

"Do you?" Bellamy questions and I frown, my gut twisting with worry.

"I'll help Clarke get everyone inside" I huff.

I walk over to the blonde who looks at me knowingly.

"It's time" She states.

"Let's round em up" I sigh in defeat.

We head outside and everyone looks at us expectantly, waiting for us to give our orders.

"Get a move on! Everyone inside the drop ship!" I shout but no one moves.

"Now!" I roar and that gets them moving.

As everyone floods into the drop ship I hear a large boom and Bellamy comes up beside me. I look into the sky to see a very large cloud of grey smoke.

"I am become death, destroyer of worlds" Clarke mumbles and Bellamy looks at her.

"It's Oppenheimer. The man who built the first-" She starts.

"Atomic bomb" I finish for her and she smiles at me softly.

"We know who Oppenheimer is" Bellamy sighs.

Everyone starts exiting the ship and eventually, one by one, people start getting better.

"There! It's them! Open the gate!" I hear Harper shriek from my place next to Clarke.

The gates are open to reveal Monty and Jasper who everyone cheers and applauds for.

I then spot Finn who is helping a very ill Raven and I rush towards them, putting her other arm around my neck.

We get her into the drop ship and Finn places her in a hammock. Clarke checks her over as Finn and I take a step back.

"She's getting stronger" Clarke tells us once she's finished.

"I'm going to go check on Octavia" I tell Finn and he nods as Raven wakes up.

I give the two space and exit the drop ship to find my friend. I can't seem to find Octavia around camp so I head back into the drop ship and sit down by Raven's side.

She looks up at me and the pain in her eyes causes me to realise what had happened after I left.

"Is it really over?" I ask, hoping she'll tell me i'm wrong.

"It's over, Ava" She sighs and I frown, grabbing her hand in mine.

"I'm so sorry, Raven" I tell her apologetically.

"It's not your fault. Sometimes it's better to let someone go" She tells me.

"Nothing will ever be the same" I state, looking down.

"Hey, I still love you. Finn still loves you. We just don't work anymore" She explains to me like i'm a child and I nod in understanding.

"I guess it's just hard to hear. I grew up with you both my whole life and now you're not together anymore. It's like my parents just split up" I joke and she smiles at me.

"Well, in that case. I want part custody, Finn can have you on the weekends" She jokes back and I laugh.

"I'm okay with that" I hear a deep voice and turn my head to see Finn standing next to me.

He grabs my free hand and I look between them with a smile.

"How do you do it?" I ask.

"Do what?" Raven asks me.

"No matter how angry or upset you are with each other, you always find a way to put it aside for me" I state and they glance at each other.

"Because we love you, squirt" Finn replies, squeezing my hand.

"Well, thank you. It means a lot to me" I smile widely at the both of my best friends.

I hear loud footsteps walk past me and I turn my head to see Bellamy walking to the drop ship door. He must feel my gaze because he turns his head and catches me staring.

My cheeks heat up in embarrassment and he smirks at me in amusement. He shoots me a wink and I grin softly at him.

He then disappears and I hear two people clearing their throats.

"What do you see in that guy?" Raven questions in disbelief as I turn to face them both again.

"What don't you see in him?" I reply with a smile.

"I don't see anything other than an asshole who stole my radio" She retorts.

"You don't have to dig deep to know that he's a good guy. Yeah, he can be an asshole, but I like that about him. He's sweet and funny, and he cares about me. I don't care that he's not liked by everyone, I like him. He's cocky, reckless and over all he'd do anything for the people he loves. He's Bellamy Blake, what's not to like?" I rant, my gaze tearing away from my friends and to the door.

Silence engulfs us and I turn my head to see Raven and Finn looking at each other with a knowing look, like they know something I don't.

"Well, i'm not one to stand in the way of something special, but be careful" Finn states.

"Yeah, Finn's right. Just be careful, okay?" Raven smiles.

"Okay" I grin.

"I'm going to get some fresh air" I say, leaning down and pecking Raven's cheek.

"Want some company?" Finn asks.

"Sure" I smile.

I tug on the boy's hand and we exit the drop ship. Finn makes his way around the ship and I grin following him up the ladders to the roof. We sit down and I let my legs dangle over the edge.

I watch the moon in awe at how beautiful it is but can't help the nagging feeling in my chest.

"What's on your mind?" Finn asks, always knowing when there's something up.

"How did you know you loved Raven?" I wonder curiously and he raises his brows.

"Um, I don't know. I kinda just knew. She was always on my mind and I cared about her too much for us to just be friends" He explains and I look back out at the moon.

We sit in complete silence and I bite my lip anxiously as the thought swirls around in my brain.

I let it sit for a few moments before letting out a sigh and laying down to look up a the stars. Finn lays down next to me but doesn't say anything.

"Finn?" I whisper.

"Hmm" He hums.

"I think i'm falling for Bellamy Blake" I admit.

Finn doesn't respond, he just laces our fingers together and squeezes my hand comfortingly.

"Thank you" I mumble.

"Anytime" He sighs.

We lay there in silence for what feels like hours until I see Finn get up. I sit up too and he offers me his hand which I gratefully accept. He climbs down the ladders and I follow, reaching the bottom quickly.

"Goodnight, squirt" Finn smiles, ruffling my hair.

"Goodnight, Finn" I smile back, pushing him playfully.

We part ways and I head for the drop ship door but my head starts pounding. Someone runs into me and I look up to see it's Bellamy.

"Hey" He greets me softly.

"Hi" I smile.

"How are you feeling?" He asks.

"I don't know. I'll get back to you on that" I joke and he shakes his head.

He opens his mouth to speak but everything starts spinning.

"Bell" I gasp before my knees buckle under me.

I'm swiftly caught and picked up bridal style, my vision blurring as Bellamy holds me tightly.

"Bellamy, i'm fine" I mumble, patting his shoulder sleepily.

"Shh, go to sleep" He whispers as he carries me.

"Don't leave me" I whisper, my voice cracking.

"I'm not gonna leave you" He assures me.

"You're the best" I breathe out before I'm engulfed in blackness.
