kenzie was going to unlock her front door. a hot mess of a milo grabbed onto her wrist. she glanced at him then at his hand.

"kenz, please." milo said, swallowing before continuing to breathe heavily from running fast.

"what do you want?" kenzie said, ripping her hand away from milos grip. she leaned on her door behind her.

milo looked at her up and down before explaining. "im sorry. really sorry." kenzie couldn't pity him.

"that doesn't change the fact that you quite literally almost got in a fight with rudy." kenzie tilted her head as she said it.

milo rolled his eyes at the mention of rudy. "he deserves it." he mumbled under his breath. kenzie looked away, not hearing what he said.

milo cleared his throat. "if you're not gonna say anything, I might as well just open the door right now." kenzie said, now standing on her two feet.

"i love you." milo cut her off after she finished. kenzie looked away with a scoff, closing her eyes for a second.

"you can't love me. you just got out of a relationship- with my best friend I might say!" kenzie replied to his confession. she missed him, but couldn't do that to her.

"it isn't about her!" milo exclaimed before softening up. "It's about you." he continued softly. at this point kenzie couldn't even look at him. if she did, she feared she might break.

"I can't betray my best friend." kenzie says with a slight voice crack. she looked up stopping herself from tearing up. "I'm sorry." she continued, opening her door, before shutting it almost immediately when she's inside.
