"But My Lady, it's for a noble lady
like you...a maid like me, does not suit this kind of dress," voiced the shy ravennete, blushing as she felt the younger lady's breath against her neck, feeling her heart race faster against her ribcage.

She could see the Princess gazing at her through the full-length body mirror, a small smile etched on her face, making Beomgyu's cheeks burn hotter from that soft, fond gaze focused on her and that burning close proximity.

"Nonsense," chuckled the blonde, placing her hand around the ravennete's waist, as if draping the elegant red ball-gown around her frame, which was just an excuse to be close to the older lady pressed against her chest.

"You would look absolutely breathtaking in this dress Darling," whispered the Princess, making a pleasant shiver run down the older's body, her breath hitching from the blonde's term of endearment. She wasn't making it any better for her poor heart, using her playful charm and saccharine sweet words.

"B-But Your Highness, it's too much," Beomgyu protested weakly, her own heart thudding wildly in her chest as the Princess continued to hold her close, the soft fabric of the ball gown whispering against her skin.

The younger girl was so close that Beomgyu could feel the heat radiating from her body, her own skin prickling with goosebumps as the blonde's voice dripped with honeyed sweetness, their faces mere centimeters apart in the silvery, reflective glass of the mirror.

"I refuse to believe that Beomie." She chuckled, the sound of her gentle laughter resonating through the older ravennete's body, making her heart thud even faster, afraid the younger woman could hear it.

Lastly, with a defeated sigh, the older tried to convince the blonde, tilting her head backwards to look at the Princess, who had such a teasing smile etched on her face. What a menace.

"Your Highness, her Majesty has specially sent you this dress to wear to the royal ball, so you could catch the eye of the crown Prince...not for me."

The Princess rolled her eyes, an amused scoff escaping her lips. "Oh, come now," she teased, her hand still wrapped around the older lady's waist, her hold a bit firmer now. "Do you honestly think that old hag truly cares about who I dance with? She just wants me to make a good impression, that's all."

"Besides," she added, her voice taking on a lower, more intimate tone, "why would I ever want to catch the eye of that foolish, boring Prince when I already have my eye on someone else?"

"Y-you do, My Lady?" Beomgyu's heart stuttered, wondering who was the person Lady Kai fancied, believing whoever it was; must be one of a kind.

"Well...then you should wear this dress for him, My Lady."

"Oh, don't worry about that," the Princess replied, a sly smile playing on her lips. She lifted her hand and gently brushed aside a strand of hair that had fallen across Beomgyu's face, her touch sending a flurry of tingles down the older woman's spine.

"I have a different plan in mind," she murmured, her gaze locking with Beomgyu's in the mirror, a secret swirling in those blue eyes.

Beomgyu's heart skipped a beat under the intensity of the Princess's gaze, her breath catching in her throat. "Different plan?" she echoed, her voice barely above a whisper.

The Princess chuckled again, her smile becoming more mischievous. "Indeed," she confirmed, her hand resting possessively on the ravennette's hip. "And...I require your assistance to carry it out."

"I-"
She gulped, calming her nerves before swallowing the butterflies which threatened to escape her belly through her throat.

"How can I assist you, My Lady?" She asked, looking up at the taller woman, her warm brown eyes gleaming under the moonlight filtering past the silken white curtains, cascading into the Lady's chamber.

The Princess leaned in, her breath warm against Beomgyu's ear, her words sending a delightful shiver down the older woman's spine.
"I need you to come with me to the ball tonight," she murmured, her fingers gently tracing patterns on the ravennette's hip.

"As my dance partner, of course," she added with a wink, pulling back slightly to gauge the response on Beomgyu's face.

Beomgyu's heart skipped a beat, her eyes widening in shock and awe. "M-Me?" she gasped, her brain struggling to process the Princess's words. "But-but, Your Highness, I-"

The Princess raised a hand, cutting her off with a small smile. "No buts," she said firmly, her tone leaving no room for argument.
"You would make a much better partner than any of those annoying, arrogant nobles."

Beomgyu bit her lip, her heart racing at the thought of dancing with the gorgeous Princess under the glittering chandeliers of the grand ballroom, their dresses swirling around them as they glided across the floor together. It was a foolish, reckless fantasy, one that could never come true. She shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts.

"But it wouldn't be proper," she protested weakly, even though a small part of her wanted to give in, to say yes.

Kai chuckled, stepping a bit away from Beomgyu's personal space, giving her finally a chance to breathe, taking her seat on the dressing's chair, peering up at the Ravennete.

Yes, she was well aware how the status and hierarchy worked in the royalty. She knew it would be scandalous if someone found out Beomgyu, a low-born was dancing with a noble lady. Heck, she could go through severe punishment just for stepping inside the ballroom, in between all the prestigious nobles.

But, she had a plan.

It was a masked ball, meaning no one would know who was who, and with such attire and enchanting Beauty Beomgyu possessed, it would be convincing enough to prove she's a noble lady as well.

The blonde smiled, watching the insecure expression dance across the older's face... finding it absolutely adorable. Everything about Choi Beomgyu was enchanting and immensely beautiful, sometimes Kai wondered if she even deserved to want her.

"It wouldn't be proper only if someone knows.." she smirked, a playful glint shinning in her eyes.

"It's a masked ball, Beomie. No one will know it's you."

Beomgyu's heart fluttered, her eyes widening at the Princess's words. It was a dangerous, risky plan, but the thought of spending the night dancing with the captivating blonde clouded her judgment, dulling her rational thoughts.

"What if we're caught?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper, fear coursing through her veins. "What if..."

She trailed off, unable to finish her sentence, a thousand what-ifs dancing in her mind.

"Shh-" Beomgyu felt a finger press up against her rosy petals, shutting her up, heart picking up it's irratical pace once again from the close proximity, the tension between them undeniable.

"No one will know, My Darling.

Beomgyu's breath hitched at the gentle touch of the Princess's finger against her lips, her mind going blank at the term of endearment, her heart thudding wildly in her chest.

She couldn't help but think about what the Princess had said, how no one would know if they danced together that night, how she could feel the younger woman's arms wrapped around her waist...

"O-okay," she finally managed to choke out, her words barely audible, her mind and body already succumbing to the allure of the beautiful woman in front of her.

The Princess's smile widened, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "You're so good for me," she murmured, her voice low and sultry.

"Now go and make yourself presentable," she commanded, her gaze roaming up and down the older woman in a way that made Beomgyu feel both flustered and desired at the same time.

"Tonight will be the night of your life, I promise."

Beomgyu nodded, her cheeks coloring with a soft blush from the Princess's words and her admiring gaze. "Yes, My Lady," she murmured, her heart fluttering like a wild bird in her chest.

She curtsied and turned to leave, her skin still tingling from the young woman's touch. She couldn't help but read into the vague, no; obvious paragraphs written in bold that indicated that maybe...just maybe the person Kai fancied, might be her.

The thought had her heart racing, but she couldn't let it get to her head. It's not rational. Lady Huening is a noble, and she's just a mere maid...a Woman at that. Two women together? Absolutely insane.

She sighed, trying to stop her cheeks from heating up, and lighten up. Tonight would be a night to remember, that much was certain.

Beomgyu stood before the mirror, her eyes taking in the exquisite gown of rich red fabric that draped over her body, complimenting her slender figure and pale complexion.

She had to admit, the dress looked gorgeous on her, the intricate details of the frills and bodice adding a touch of opulence to the already elegant ensemble.

She twirled around, the skirt swirling around her ankles, its movement hypnotizing as she watched herself in the mirror.

"You look absolutely breathtaking, Darling," A voice said from behind her, sending a flutter of butterflies in her stomach. She glanced into the mirror, her breath hitching at the sight behind her.

There stood the Princess, her long silky blonde locks falling over her pale shoulders, the silky pastel blue gown hugging her petite frame like a glove, the fabric accentuating the natural curves of her body elegantly.

"I-I..thank you," Beomgyu stuttered, feeling her heart skip a beat under the Princess's intense gaze.

She tore her eyes away from the younger woman's figure, her mind racing. It wasn't just the way the dress accentuated the Princess's body, it was the way her icy blue eyes roamed over the ravennette shamelessly, admiring and appreciating.

Beomgyu felt a flush creep up her neck, heat pooling in her lower region from the way the Princess was looking at her.

"Pull yourself together", she chided herself internally.

"Are you ready?" the Princess inquired, stepping closer to the older woman, her steps soft and feline-like, as if wanting to pounce on her.

Beomgyu's heart skipped a beat as Kai drew closer, the younger woman's scent enveloping her senses. She found herself struggling to breath, her body buzzing with energy.

She nodded wordlessly in response, unable to trust her voice.

"Shall we go then, Beomgyu?"
The blonde chuckled, holding out her hand for the older to take, which Beomgyu took immediately, feeling the spark of electricity flowing through her body from the gentle brush of their fingers.

"Y-yes, My-lady, we shall." She answered with a slight stutter, lowering her head bashfully, a small smile tugging her lips from holding the Princess's hand, as she led them out of the chamber, making their way through the empty royal hallway, down towards the hallroom where the ball was going on.

The entire journey from the chamber to the grand ballroom was a whirlwind of adrenaline and anticipation. Beomgyu followed the Princess, their hands still conjoined together, the warmth of the younger woman's skin sending shivers down her spine.

The halls were eerily quiet, devoid of any other presence. It felt as if they were the only two people in the world, making their way to a secret meeting that could change everything.

The sound of chattering guests echoed louder as they approached the grand oak doors of the ballroom, the distant music seeping into the hallway.

"Now.."
Kai halted her steps, making Beomgyu stop as well, catching her attention.

"Yes My lady?" Questioned Beomgyu, wondering what the Princess wanted to say, waiting for the younger to speak up.

"The masks silly, you forgot?" The princess chuckled.

Beomgyu blushed, feeling like a fool. In the whirlwind of their journey, she had completely forgotten about the masks they were supposed to wear.

"Er, yes," she muttered sheepishly, a small frown on her face. "I shall go-"

She was about to pull away, but the Princess held onto her hand, preventing her from leaving.

"No need," the younger woman said casually. "I have them."

Beomgyu's eyes widened, watching as the Princess from a tiny pouch tied around her waist, pulled out two masks falling into her outstretched palm, one in a velvety dark color and the other in a glittery gold.

The brunette felt her heart flutter a little at the thought of having the younger woman choose a mask fit for her, wondering which one the Princess had picked for them.

"Which one is mine?" she asked, not even trying to mask the excitement in her voice.

The Princess held up the golden mask, it's shimmering surface catching the light of the nearby candelabras. The mask was gorgeous, delicate swirls of gold and black interweaving across the surface in a beautiful pattern.

"This one.." she murmured, her eyes gleaming under her chanderlior's light, as her gaze landed on the ravennette.
"It'll look exquisite on you, Darling."

Beomgyu's breath hitched, taken aback by the pet name the younger woman used yet again. She couldn't help the heat that dusted her cheeks or the little flutters that took over her heart when the Princess called her Darling in that sultry tone.

She tried to calm her racing pulse, as she accepted the golden mask from the Princess's hands, bringing it up to her face. The smooth surface felt cool against her skin, a stark contrast to the flames of anticipation burning within her.

The Princess had already donned on her own mask, the dark hue contrasting brilliantly with her pale skin and blonde locks. Her gaze was still fixated on Beomgyu, an intense look that sent another bolt of excitement through the ravennette's veins.

The older woman swallowed, feeling a bit self-conscious under the younger woman's unflinching stare.
"Wh-what does it look like?" she asked shyly, her fingers tracing the bejeweled swirls on the mask's surface.

Kai hummed, her eyes still glued to Beomgyu, a small smile tugging her lips as the older woman fidgeted with the mask.
"Stunning." she answered, her voice low and sultry. "Absolutely stunning."

Beomgyu's heart fluttered, her breathing growing shallower. She averted her gaze, her cheeks heating up once more at the Princess's blatant appraisal. She fidgeted with the hem of her dress, trying to get herself under control.

"Well then, shall we go and make an entrance?"

Beomgyu looked up, her eyes meeting the Princess's as she held out her hand for the older to take once again.

Grasping the offered hand, they walked to the grand oak doors, the sound of the muffled music growing louder and clearer with each step. Beomgyu's heart was in her throat, excitement bubbling inside her chest.

This was truly happening.

In one swift motion, the doors swung open, revealing the grand ballroom in all its glory. Beomgyu had to suppress a gasp, her eyes wide with awe at the sight before her.

The room was absolutely breathtaking.

Candles hung from the ceiling in elegant chandeliers, casting flickering shadows across the polished floor. Colorful banners and ribbons hung from the walls, giving the room a vibrant, festive atmosphere.

The smell of rich food and expensive wine assaulted her nostrils, making her stomach rumble softly in protest.

But what really caught her attention was the number of people gathered in the room. Nobles dressed in the finest of garments, laughing, talking, drinking, their voices blending together into a symphony of chatter.

Beomgyu felt a lump form in her throat. With so many people around, the chances of getting caught were multiplied by a huge margin. Her grip on the Princess's hand tightened subconsciously.

"Don't be nervous, Darling." Kai whispered to her ears in a soft hush, as if a secret melody between them, only each other could understand.

Beomgyu's heart fluttered at the Princess's soothing words, her touch and tone making the butterflies in her stomach go wild. She let out a shaky breath, trying her best to calm her nerves.

"I'll try, My Lady..." she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.

As they walked into the ballroom, the chatter of the guests seemed to quiet down, everyone's eyes drawn to them, their gazes a mixture of curiosity and envy.

Beomgyu felt her cheeks burn under the attention, her heart racing in her chest.
"Do they know who we are? Who I am?" She had to fight the urge to look down, to hide her face.

She felt the Princess's hand tighten on hers, a subtle comfort that did little to calm her nerves. The younger woman led her through, their steps measured and confident, a stark contrast to Beomgyu's nervous and jittery ones.

As they continued walking, Beomgyu noticed the glances and whispers the guests were exchanging. Some were obvious, their heads turning to follow the Princess and her, while others were more discrete, quick furtive glances.

The whispers ranged from compliments to confusion, and a small part of Beomgyu's heart leapt with satisfaction that nobody could recognize her identity, thanks to the mask.

"Your Highness...may I?"

Beomgyu was forced to halt her steps as they were approached by a noble man, Beomgyu recognising him as the Crown Prince of the neighbouring kingdom, who was the potential betrothed for the Princess.

Envy and possession flared through the Ravennete's body, upon seeing the way the Princess returned his smile and agreed to have the night's first dance with him. She knew Princess didn't wish to dance with him, but it was the custom. An offer made by the crown prince himself couldn't be declined, so there stood Beomgyu, in an abandoned corner of the ballroom, watching the subject of her affection sway her steps with a man she despised.

She knew it was ridiculous of her, but she wished to be the only one who could make the younger smile, the only one who could touch her soft skin, alike a fragile flower needing the utmost gentle care which Beomgyu knew only she could provide. She wanted the Princess all to herself, knowing it was impossible and selfish of her to wish for so.

But she had devoted her life to the blonde ever since she was a child, doesn't she deserve to atleast harbour these feelings for her, even though they're just wistful thinking?

The entire time the Princess was dancing with the Crown Prince, Beomgyu couldn't take her eyes off of them. It was torment, to see the younger woman smile and laugh with a man she didn't want to be with. A man who was supposed to be her betrothed.

She was fully aware of the pettiness and possessiveness of her thoughts, of the irrationality of her feelings. She was a mere maid, whereas the Princess was a Princess, heir to the throne. They were from two different worlds.

But she couldn't help it. She wanted the Princess, all for herself. She wanted to be the only one to make her laugh, to make her smile. She wanted to be the one to hold her, to kiss her silky smooth skin with gentle lips.

It was an impossibility, she knew that, but her heart would not listen.

The longer she watched the young Princess dancing, the more Beomgyu's envy and possessiveness were fueled. In that moment, it felt like the most powerful emotion in the world, and the thought of having to spend the entire night like that, watching from the side as the Princess danced and smiled with man after man, was excruciating.

She felt her patience slipping, unable to watch the love of her life dancing with someone else. She couldn't ignore the sharp pain coursing through her heart upon being greeted with the reality of their situation, the ache only deepening as her eyes met the Princess's, heart clenching painfully inside her ribs.

She couldn't take the sight of them dancing anymore, deciding to escape the scene and go outside to the Royal Garden, so she could avoid the bitter taste of her reality.

Silently, Beomgyu slipped out of the ballroom, the music and chatter gradually fading away into the distance. The cool night air hit her flushed cheeks as she made her way to the Royal Garden, the only sounds being the soft crunch of gravel under her feet and the distant hooting of an owl.

She found a secluded spot near a fountain, taking a seat on the cold stone edging. She let out a long sigh, the earlier events, her emotions and her frustrations weighing down on her.

For a moment, she just sat there, listening to the soothing sound of the water flowing, the cool night air helping her heart to calm down.

She closed her eyes, her mind drifting back to the Princess and the images of her dancing in the arms of the man. The pang of jealousy in her heart came back, but this time it was accompanied by a wave of sadness and resignation.

"Why did my heart had to harbour such forbidden emotions?" Beomgyu whispered to herself, watching her reflection ripple in the water, placing her palm over her heart, clenching it.

She knew it was futile, that she was fighting a battle against the laws of nature and the standards of society. But her heart didn't listen. It still ached, it still yearned for the Princess, for her smiles, her laughs, her touches.

Beomgyu let out a small, choked laugh, her voice thick with emotion. "Why, indeed..."

Her mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, of what could have been, what couldn't be. She knew she was being hopeless, drowning in a world of could haves and would haves.

The silence of the night was disrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching her. Beomgyu's heart skipped a beat, her eyes snapping open. Slowly, she turned around, her pulse quickening.

"Enjoying the solace all by yourself, Darling?"

Beomgyu's heart fluttered upon hearing the Princess's voice. It was low and soft, a sound that sent shivers down the ravennette's spine. She quickly turned around, her breath catching in her throat.

"Y-yes, My-My Lady, I just..." she trailed off, feeling her cheeks growing hotter from the way the younger woman called her Darling. "Needed some air, and some m-moment alone."

"How unfair, I thought you would accompany me and dance with me. I'm quiet disappointed, Beomgyu."
The Princess chuckled, stepping towards the Raventte as she took off her mask.

"I-I'm sorry, My Lady," Beomgyu murmured, averting her gaze bashfully. She could feel the younger woman's eyes on her, intense and penetrating and it sent her heart into a fit.

The Princess sat down beside her on the stone edging, discarding the mask beside her. She was so close, their shoulders almost touching, and the scent of her perfume enveloped Beomgyu's senses, making her head spin.

Beomgyu swallowed, her heart racing in her chest as she tried hard to keep her emotions in check. "
Don't blush, don't stutter, don't let her see through you," she chanted to herself. But with the Princess so close, it was almost impossible to prevent the heat from spreading on her cheeks or the flutters in her heart.

"Sorry won't do, Darling."
Kai smiled, leaning closer to the Ravennete, twirling a strand of her jet black hair around her finger, blue eyes shining like crystals under the moonlight, demanding all of Beomgyu's attention.

Beomgyu could feel her breath hitching, her heart skipping a beat at how close the Princess was. How beautiful she looked under the moonlight.

The younger woman was playing with her hair, their faces only inches apart. Beomgyu felt her resolve crumbling with each passing second.

She wanted to reach out, to wrap the Princess in her embrace and never let go. She wanted to lean in, press her lips against hers and let all her pent up desires and emotions out.

But instead, she just sat there, frozen, her heart pounding so hard she feared it might burst out of her chest.

"Cat got your tongue, Beomie?"
She teased, putting her finger under the older's chin, pulling her face closer to hers, eyes gazing down to the plush softness of the Ravennete's lips, then back to her eyes.

The ravennette had to bite her tongue to prevent a whimper from slipping out at the nickname. The Princess's touch was sending sparks through her body, like little flames dancing across her skin.

"I-I..." she tried to speak, but the words got caught in her throat. How was she supposed to tell her how much she wanted to kiss her? How much she wanted to hold her and cherish her, to make sweet love to her?

"No...no, no, no..."

Did the Princess enjoyed seeing her suffer? Knowing she was helpless and powerless infront of her? Did she enjoy making her heart ache and constrict all the time, playing with heartstrings with her sweet words and soft touches? Was it fun to her? The thoughts made her clench her fists.

Why did she made her hope, when she knew it was futile?

...

"I know you wish to kiss me, Beomgyu."
Kai broke the ice, a soft smile gracing her features.

Beomgyu let out a shaky breath from surprise, her body trembling slightly at the younger woman's words.

She knew. She knew all along...

Her heart was in her stomach, beating so hard she felt nauseous. But at the same time, there was a deep sense of relief. Perhaps the Princess didn't find her desires disgusting, perhaps she wouldn't reject her outright.

She met the Princess's gaze, their faces only inches apart, the younger woman's breath fanning over her face. She was so close, so damn close, Beomgyu barely held herself back from leaning in and pressing her lips against her rosy red ones.

"I-I do..." she whispered, her voice barely audible over the loud beating of her heart.

"Then, what's stopping you from having it when..." She whispered, closing the distance between them, her lips hovering right over Beomgyu's, as she mouthed her last words, "when I'm right here in your hold, Darling," before cupping her cheek, pressing her lips against Beomgyu's in a soft kiss.

(A/n: I would kiss the artist on the cheek fr, CUZ THE ART DAYUM)

The first touch of the Princess's lips against hers sent jolts down Beomgyu's spine, pleasure and euphoria rushing through her veins, her senses going haywire.

For a moment, she was frozen in shock, her mind trying to comprehend the fact that she was kissing the woman of her dreams. Her brain, though, soon caught up, her senses slowly coming back. Beomgyu closed her eyes, her free hand going up to cup the younger woman's cheek, the other finding its way to her waist.

Her movements were hesitant, yet full of hunger and desperation. All the feelings she held inside for the Princess since the day she had met her was pouring out through her kiss.

Her body was ablaze, every inch of her skin alive and burning. She wanted more, to be closer to the Princess, to taste and drink her in until there was no more space left between them.

She felt the Princess's tongue slowly caressing her lower lip, seeking entrance, a silent plea, a question. Beomgyu complied, her lips parting, allowing the younger woman's tongue to invade her mouth.

She let out a soft moan, the sound muffled by the Princess's mouth, as her tongue met the ravennette's. The feeling of the Princess's tongue against hers, gently exploring, tasting was both ecstasy and torture. It was like a drug, and Beomgyu was already addicted.

She tightened her hold on the Princess's waist, pulling her closer, closing the gap between their bodies, needing to feel more of her heat, more of her skin against her. She couldn't get enough.

She forgot herself, forgot where they were, the only thing on her mind was the taste of the younger woman on her lips and the sound of her heavy breathing in her ears.

But the reality of their situation crashed down on her like a bucket of cold water.

With a great deal of restraint, she broke the kiss, pulling back, reluctantly separating her lips from the Princess's. They were both breathing heavily, their chests heaving, their faces tinged with redness.

The realization of what they had just done hit her. They had just kissed. In the middle of the garden, no less.

Beomgyu's heart sank, the bliss of their kiss being replaced by fear and panic. They had been in such a vulnerable position, anyone could have seen them. The thought made her stomach churn and her head spin.

"I...we...why, why did you...we shouldn't have...if someone had seen us..." she stuttered, all the joy and excitement from the kiss gone, replaced by the dread and anxiety of being caught.

"Then?"
Kai surged forward, holding the amxious maid's hand in hers, caressing it.

"Then what Beomgyu? Will that stop you from what you feel, or what I feel? I doubt so..." the blonde said boldly, leaving no room for Beomgyu to escape.

Beomgyu looked at the younger woman, her heart twisting at the sight of her, the image of their kiss still fresh in her mind. The feelings she harboured for the Princess were still there, stronger than ever, her body still on fire by her touch.

But she knew it couldn't be, it shouldn't be. Their hearts didn't belong to each other. But then, why did it feel so right when she was in her arms, the way their lips had fit perfectly together...why?

She couldn't understand her own heart. Her mind was screaming at her to flee, to stop this madness and escape while she still could.

But her heart was screaming even louder at her to stay, to hold onto this feeling, onto the younger woman. She was torn, her mind and heart waging a fierce battle.

"Don't you trust me, Beomie?"
Kai asked, her voice a silent plea, as she grasped her hands delicately.

"I love you, Beomgyu. I know it's wrong, we're both women...but I can't see you marry someone else, nor can I live being the Crown Prince's bethroed, so please..."

Beomgyu froze at the younger woman's words. She loved her...

Her heart ached, her feelings a mixture of hope and despair. It was too good to be true. Yet the Princess's eyes were full of pleading sincerity, and her voice was full of truth, full of love.

She wanted to cry, she wanted to hold the Princess and never let her go.

"I-I...I love you too" she whispered, her voice hoarse from unshed tears.

"But...it's not that simple," the Ravennette continued, tears stinging the corners of her eyes. "People would never allow us. We're both women, we're from different worlds. We can't..shouldn't be together. You're a Princess and I'm a mere maid..."

"Do you think I don't know that?" Mumbled Kai, her grip tightening around the Ravennete's hand, voice laced with vulnerability and pain.

"I tried Beomgyu, I tried to live with the fact that I'll marry Prince Evan..I tried to not let my heart sink deeper, I tried to stop myself from harbouring such feelings for you...yet it refuses to accept it. I can't stop how I feel for you Beomgyu."

Beomgyu's heart ached at the sight of the Princess, her usual elegance and grace dissolved into pleading and helplessness, all because of her.

"But...you're a Princess. You can't throw everything away because of me..." she whispered, her voice cracking. The last thing she wanted was for the younger woman to lose everything, on account of her sinful feelings.

"I...I don't care whether I'm a Princess, I don't care whether people condemn me, I don't care about the society.." Kai cut her off, bringing a hand up to cup the Ravennette's face, wiping away the tears that had started streaming down the older woman's cheeks.

"I care about you. I care about not losing you..not losing the one I love."

Beomgyu closed her eyes, leaning into the Princess's touch, her heart clenching in her chest.

The younger woman's words...they were everything she had ever wanted to hear, yet never dared to hope for. How was she supposed to give up on her, how was she supposed to push her away when all she wanted was to hold her close and never let go?

"I.." she started, struggling to find any words that would make sense to the maelstrom of emotions inside her.
"Why are you such a fool, My lady." she mumbled, looking at her with teary eyes.

"Maybe I am," Kai laughed, leaning her forehead against the Ravennette's, a small, resigned smile on her lips.

"A fool for falling for you. A fool for wanting and needing you so much it hurts. But even so..I'll never regret falling for you."

Beomgyu let out a shaky breath, her heart twisting in her chest. The younger woman was making this so damn hard for her. The way she was holding her, the way she was speaking was making her lose her mind.

"You...you're a goddamn idiot," the Ravenette managed to murmur, her trembling hands clenching onto the fabric of the Princess's dress, pulling her closer like she wanted to keep her from disappearing, kissing her once again.

"Your idiot." Kai smiled into the kiss, resting her hand against her nape. The kiss started gentle, a gentle and soft dance of lips. But it soon grew intense, the taste of the older's lips becoming a sweet addiction she couldn't let go of.

Beomgyu hummed into the kiss, pulling the Princess closer to her, closing the remaining distance between them, all thought of caution gone from her mind.

The only thing on her mind was the feeling of the younger woman in her arms and the taste of the Princess's lips, all her previous hesitation replaced by desperation.

"Beomgyu...would you run away with me?" The Princess pulled away, gasping for breathe against her lips, caressing her cheeks.

(A/n: Run away Kai moment lol )

Beomgyu had to take a few deep breaths to try to steady herself from the kiss, blinking to bring herself back to reality. The Princess's words only half-registered in her mind, all of her thoughts focused on the taste of her lips.

"What...run away?" she asked dazedly, her heartbeat like a hammer in her ears.

"Yes..."
She whispered, holding her hand.

"I have everything planned. I have the carriage ready by the gate of the backside of the castle. I have all the necessities and my jewelleries, we could elope together and settle in a small town, away from any prying eyes. Just you and me Beomie.."

Beomgyu's head was spinning. Elope? With the Princess? Leave her life behind, her home and all the people she knew and start a new life with the woman she loved? It sounded like a foolish, impossible dream.

Yet, there was the Princess, holding her hand, looking at her with such hopeful eyes, that Beomgyu couldn't find it in herself to reject her. She wanted it too, she wanted it too much.

But, there were so many things that could go wrong...so very many things.

"But...you're a Princess," the Ravennette managed to stutter, her mind full of thoughts, of doubt. "How do you expect us to live? Everyone knows you, you're recognizable. Not to mention...what if we get caught? Won't you be punished for running away?"

"No one will recognise me in a foreign state, Darling." She smiled, caressing her cheek and continued. "Get caught? I would rather die than come back in this prison. I have the poison ready even. If I have to die...I shall die."

Beomgyu's heart sank at the mention of the word poison and her blood turned to ice at the thought of the Princess dying for her.

"You fool," she said, her voice shaking, "Don't you dare speak of such things. No one is going to die, not you, not me."

She took the younger woman's face in her hands, looking into her eyes with desperation and panic.

"That's what I plan," the blonde chuckled, making Beomgyu frown.
"But if the situation comes...I will. I wouldn't be able to bear the idea of being married to a man, and stay in this prison Beomgyu...you know what goes on here and with me, better than anyone else."

"But..."

Beomgyu's voice was a whisper, her heart clenching painfully in her chest.

"Please, don't..."

She tightened the grip on the younger woman's face, a few stray tears falling down her cheeks, "Don't talk like that. Don't speak like... like..you're ready to throw your life away for me..."

"I am though."
She smiled either ways, resting her forehead against her.

"You..."

Beomgyu's heart was clenching so hard it hurt. She had never expected, had never dared to anticipate that the younger woman's feelings for her could be this strong, so much that she was willing to throw her entire life away.

"You're a damn idiot," she whispered, her voice shaking with emotions, her hands still shaking on the younger woman's cheeks.

"Your idiot, as I said," she chuckled, taking her hand and kissing her knuckles.

"Now let's run away, shall we?"

Beomgyu took a shaky breath, all the emotions of the last few minutes swirling in her chest, making it hard to think properly.

Run away...

"Yes..." she said quietly, the word sounding foreign even against her own ears, "Let's...let's run away."

The Ravennette could feel panic and excitement running through her veins at the same time. Her heart was beating so hard, it hurt. But there was also a strange sense of relief blossoming in her chest.

She was doing it. She was running away with the Princess, she was going to escape this life she had always hated and start a new one with the person she loved...

โ โœ‰๏ธ โž เญญ หš. แตŽแตŽ

With that, the two ladies were now running as fast they could, hiding discreetly to reach the backside of the castle where the carriage was waiting, hands in hands as the adrenaline of freedom registered in their heart.

They were going to be free.

Beomgyu could feel the rush of wind against her face, the beating of her heart drumming in her ears. The knowledge of the fact they were finally doing this, that they were finally running away, was making her heart race.

They reached the back of the castle in a dizzy haze, the Ravennette's eyes almost disbelieving. The carriage was stationed there indeed, just like the Princess had said, ready to take them to another life.

Without wasting time, the two of them hurried into the cabin of the carriage. Beomgyu collapsed into the seat, her heart still beating like a hammer, all her emotions in a twist inside her head.

What the hell were they doing? They were running away, fleeing, from a life she had never been able to escape for so long. It didn't feel real.

She was pulled out of her thoughts by the feeling of the Princess's hand intertwining with hers.

"Ready to live forever with me?"
The Princess breathed heavily, looking at her with sparkling eyes, and Beomgyu thought, she never looked more alive and beautiful.

The Ravennette clutched the younger woman's hand shakily, looking into the Princess's sparkling eyes.

"Forever..." she whispered, her heart hammering in her chest. "Forever with you...is the only thing I ever want."

They sat in silence that followed for a few moments, each of them breathing heavily still, all the adrenaline of the escape pumping in their veins.

Beomgyu took a few deep breaths, trying to calm her wildly beating heart. It was starting to feel real now...they had actually done it. They were really going to run away, going to start a new life together...

Beomgyu looked outside from the window of the moving carriage, watching the towering castle fade in the distance. Her heart was still beating wildly in her chest, but now, there was a different kind of thrill in her.

She had left her life behind, her previous home...

The Ravennette took a deep shaky breath, her eyes still focused on the castle. She didn't regret this, not for a second.

"I'm excited, are you Beomie?" The Princess asked, looking at her.

Beomgyu turned to look at her, still breathing heavily. Excitement, anxiety, fear, hope..there were so many feelings swirling inside her.

"I'm...yeah, I'm excited," she said shakily, a small, giddy smile appearing on her face, "So, so excited..I can hardly believe this is real. We did it.."

"Yeah..." Kai smiled, looking at her with adoration. "We did it. We are free now."
She whispered, holding her hands, knowing their happiness was guaranteed now.

Beomgyu tightened her hands on the Princess's, her heart warming at the other woman's words. They had done it.

She had dreamed of running away so many times, of escaping this life, of starting a new one..and now, they were finally doing it. Her mind couldn't quite comprehend that this was real, that it was finally happening.

"Freedom..." she breathed out, the word feeling so foreign on her lips.

โ โœ‰๏ธ โž เญญ หš. แตŽแตŽ

"Love, uhh...is this right?"
Kai appeared infront of the Ravennete, in her hands a big tray filled with a failed batch of sad-looking Egg tarts, looking at the older seepishly.

Beomgyu tried to hide the fond smile that threatened to appear on her face at the younger woman's failed baking attempt.

"No," she answered, barely holding in her laughter from the mess of the pastries in the Princess's hands, "That's not how you're supposed to make them..."

"But it looked so easy on the cookbook!" Kai whined like a child, pouting, looking at the burned pastries like they had personally offended her.

Beomgyu let a small laugh escape her mouth at the younger woman's pout, finding her extremely adorable.

"Maybe," she said, amused, "Because cooking isn't as easy as it seems, you fool."

"You're so mean.."
The younger pouted, while Beomgyu laughed, finding her adorable.

It had been a month since they escaped to a town in the North, a small village with nice people, beautiful gardens and farms.

With the amount of Jewelleries the Princess sold, they were settled for a lifetime, still Beomgyu insisted to find work, finding a nice job of being a florist in their neighborhood.

Everything was going perfectly smooth, Beomgyu wondered if it was a dream.

She was more than satisfied with their new life. The work at the flower shop was something she enjoyed and gave her some good amount of financial freedom without depending on Princess.

But what made her the happiest, was getting to spend every minute of the day with the Princess. Her heart still swelled in her chest every morning, when she realized, she could see the younger woman, she could touch her, whenever she wanted. The thought left her giddy like a child.

"Fine fine, I'll help you bake My Lady. Follow up."

...

But, was the happiness really going to last long?

"Have you heard? The Princess from the southern Kingdom has ran away, so they're searching everywhere...I wonder why she ran away," the words reached Beomgyu's ears, as she was working in the flower shop.

Beomgyu paused from arranging the fresh bouquet of roses in front of her, her body going cold.

Princess from the southern Kingdom...

A horrible sense of dread and fear started pooling in the pit of her stomach. She didn't want to acknowledge, she didn't want to accept it...but she couldn't stop the anxiety from flooding her as the meaning of the words sank in.

"Where..where did you hear this from?"

"Oh? The knights of the Huenings arrived our Village this morning, they're raising every house.."
An old lady mentioned with a shrug.

Knights?

Beomgyu's hands were starting to shake now, and her heart was starting to beat like a drum. No. No, this couldn't be happening.

It had been a month, surely they wouldn't be looking for them in this small village in the remote North.

"They're...looking for her?" she asked, her heart in her throat.

"Yes." She nodded, and dread filled Beomgyu. The Princess was still home. She needed to run.

Dread filled her every inch of her body, making her heart thump painfully.

She needed to get to Princess as soon as possible. She needed to warn her.

"Excuse me," the Ravenette said as she dropped everything she had in her hands, running out of the flower shop as fast as she could.

"Oh god, please, please, please be safe at home My Lady..."

Beomgyu couldn't remember having run so fast in her entire life, she could feel herself breathing heavily, her heart hammering in her chest as she ran, trying to race the anxiety that was threatening to make her heart beat out of her chest.

The small cottage they had rented was finally coming into view, making Beomgyu's heart twist in her chest.

She was almost there, she only had to run a few more meters....

Beomgyu almost collapsed with relief, as she finally reached the cottage.

Without wasting a second, she practically threw open the doors, and the sight that greeted her made her blood freeze in her veins.

Several knights wearing the armor of the Southers Kingdom had already invaded the place. And there, with a knight gripping her hands behind her back, was the Princess.

Beomgyu's heart stopped. Her mind went into frenzy.

"No... No, this can't be happening..."

"BEOMGYU!!"

The Princess's eyes met hers, the fear and dread in her face mirroring her own. Beomgyu's head was spinning and she had to hold onto the wall to keep herself from sinking to her knees.

"My, well well...looks like we got what we were looking for."

One of the Knights, looked at Beomgyu with his face twisted in a smirk.

"Beomgyu! Run!"
Kai yelled, her expressions begging her to run.

Beomgyu wanted to listen to the Princess, she wanted to run, to get as far away from this as possible.

But she couldn't move. Her body was frozen into place by the paralyzing fear and dread. Her legs would not obey her, her eyes would not look away from the Princess, all she could do was stand there, feeling like her world was shattering right in front of her eyes.

"What a loving reunion this is," the same Knight who had spoken before, sneered, and Beomgyu felt sick every time another word left his mouth.

"But how dare you run away like this, Your Highness?"

The way his voice twisted the title of the Princess made Beomgyu's blood boil.

"Go to hell," Kai bit out with as much spite as she could gather, glaring at the Knight.

"So much venom..." the knight mocked back, clearly enjoying the situation.

"And you," the smirk returned to the Knight's face as he turned to look at Beomgyu, still frozen by the door, "are you responsible for the Princess running away, no doubt. Trying to get with royalty are you? How ambitious.."

Fear and dread continued to pool in her heart and blood, and she still couldn't move to save her goddamned life. But the Knight's last words seemed to bring her out of her frozen state, a sudden rush of courage and anger replacing the fear.

"Shut up," she gritted out in a low voice, "Don't talk like you know anything."

The Knight laughed, clearly amused by her response.

"What, do you not like the truth? Is it not true that you are responsible for the Princess abandoning her kingdom? What else would you be? A lover?"

"Yes." Kai spoke up.

"She's my lover."

The next few seconds were frozen in time.

All Beomgyu could see, was the looks of shock in the Knight's faces, hearing the Princess confirm her words outright, not showing any shame or regret.

Beomgyu was shocked as well, her eyes moving from the Knights to the Princess, fear and pride filling her body.

Then, the Knight started laughing.

"This is just priceless," he chuckled, glancing at his companions.

"Who would have guessed that the Princess of the Huenings...would abandon her throne..for a servant."

There was a chorus of amused laughs from the other Knights, and Beomgyu's heart twisted painfully in her chest.

She didn't care. She didn't care about their mockery and disdain for her class. But seeing the Princess treated like this by these filthy knights...it made rage bubble up inside her blood, like venom.

"Laugh, all you want," Kai spoke up, her voice cold and steady, "But I left on my own terms. I don't regret it, not for a second."

"You might not.." the first Knight spoke up, "But your father surely would. He'll be so happy to see you again.."

"Get your hands off of me.." The Princess tried to pull her hands out of the knight's grasp to no avail.

"Get her pesky "lover" what are you looking at?" One of the knight ordered

"Go to hell," Beomgyu shot back, but was cut off by a Knight grabbing by the arm, and throwing her to the ground with hard thud.

"Shut the hell up, filthy servant."

Beomgyu didn't have any time to react, as the Knight shoved her, hard.

The next few seconds were a daze, as pain exploded on the side of her head, her body falling into the ground with a hard thud, as black spots danced in her vision.

For a few seconds, she couldn't even understand what was happening, her mind barely functioning in the pain.

But then, she heard the Princess's strangled gasp.

"Beomgyu!" Kai screamed, trying to free herself from the Guard's hold, watching the spot where Beomgyu's blood was now painting the wooden floor.

Her head had hit the corner of the table while being pushed down.

Beomgyu heard the Princess calling her name, but it was hard to focus on the voice, as the pain continued to throb in her head.

She could feel something warm trickling down the side of her head, and when her fingers touched the side of her forehead, they came off slightly wet.

Was that..blood?

She could feel her vision swimming, everything was disoriented and spinning, and the pain continued throb from her forehead. She vaguely heard the Knights' mocking laughter, and through the haze, she could see the fear and concern on the Princess's face.

"Look at you..." one of the Knights taunted, "Not so feisty now, are you, common whore?"

Beomgyu felt her blood boil. A wave of anger ran through her, cutting through the haze of pain.

Filthy assholes..how dare they...

"Please.... don't hurt her!"
Kai pleaded, watching them encapture Beomgyu as well, blood staining her forehead, making the Princess burst out into tears.

The Princess's pleading words made Beomgyu's heart twist in her chest.

She didn't want the Princess to be concerned for her, she didn't want her to be hurting over the pain she was in. She tried to meet the younger woman's eyes, tried to give her a reassuring smile, but all she could manage was a half-hearted grimace.

"Why should we not?" The Knight asked, amused, as he crouched down in front of Beomgyu, gripping her chin and turning her face to look at him.

"She's just a commoner. She's nothing. Why do you care for her, Your Highness?"

Beomgyu closed her eyes, not wanting to give them the satisfaction of seeing the pain on her face, but couldn't stop a whimper from escaping her lips, as the Knight's grip on her chin tightened, his fingers digging into her skin.

"Oh? Does it hurt?" The Knight cooed mockingly, clearly enjoying her pained looks.

"She's so weak, so pathetic...so worthless. Why do you care for her, Princess?"

"Stop it!" Kai yelled, thrashing against the grip of the Knight who was holding her back, looking at the scene in front of her with horror.

"Stop it, let her go, leave her alone!"

The Knight chuckled as he continued looking at Beomgyu for a few more seconds, before letting go of her chin, and standing up.

"No, I don't think we will." he said.

"In fact, we're taking you and your little whore away with us. And no..I don't think either of you are going to enjoy this very much."

Beomgyu's heart stopped. Her eyes widened, the haze suddenly disappearing, replaced with a new kind of horror.

They were taking them back? Back to the Kingdom, back to the King?

Was this where their fairytale turned to a nightmare?

Beomgyu's heart was hammering in her body, as the thought sunk in.

This was what was about to happen. They were going to be dragged back to the southern Kingdom...back to the cruel, horrible King's hands.

And what would he do once he found them?

Beomgyu felt like she was going to be sick...

Beomgyu knew what would happen. Princess Kai would probably be restricted out of any access to the outside world, and will be married off to Prince Evan.

Her? Her fate was worse. Death penalty, for treason and abduction of the Princess.

Was this their end?

The thought of the Princess living rest of her life like that..trapped in the damned Kingdom, married to that awful Prince...it was enough to make Beomgyu's mind spin in despair.

The thought of her own fate..she didn't care. But...this couldn't be happening to the Princess. Beomgyu would rather die.

"Put them inside!"
The guard ordered, and soon both of them were dragged inside a carriage, their feet and hands tried.

Beomgyu didn't even struggle as she was dragged into the carriage.

Her head was still throbbing, the adrenaline and pain making her breathless, she couldn't think straight and the fear was almost overwhelming.

She felt the Princess's body against hers, felt her trembling and trying to hold back tears.

"Beomgyu...are you okay? Let me see!" Kai tried to move closer to her, watching Beomgyu's forehead laced with blood, heart shattering into pieces

Beomgyu tried to lean closer towards the Princess, trying to give her a reassuring smile.

"I'm..I'm okay..don't worry about me..."

But her voice only made the Princess look more upset, as the younger woman continued to try and move closer to her, trying to wipe away the blood with her tied up hands.

"You're not... you're not okay Beomie.." the blonde mumbled, lips trembling and voice shaky, as she tried to move closer to her.

"It's all because of me...all because I underestimated my darn father.." a quiet sob escaped her lips, feeling her heart shatter with the realisation of their cruel fate.

Beomgyu couldn't stop the pang of heartbreak that stabbed her when she saw the Princess's upset expression.

"No..no.." she said, her voice firm and clear as she spoke, "No, princess don't....please don't say that. This is not your fault, it's not..."

She tried to move closer, to offer her some comfort, but the damn tied up hands were making it difficult to reach her, and the stinging, throbbing pain from her forehead was making her dizzy.

All Beomgyu could do was lean against the younger woman, and hope that the action brought some sort of comfort.

"Listen to me," she spoke again, "I don't regret it. Getting away with you..running away. I don't regret it for a second. And I never will, no matter what is going to happen to us."

"Same." She whispered, looking at her with tear filled eyes.

"No matter what, I will never reget it. I'll never regret falling in love with you Beomgyu. This past one month, I felt alive. The most alive in my life Beomgyu...I felt loved, cherished. Happy."

"Me too." Beomgyu said, her voice hoarse with painful heartbreak. "This one month...was the best month of my life. I was so happy....I was so so happy with you, princess."

"I wish...fate would have been lees cruel to us." Kai whispered, her voive heavy and hoarse, tears flowing like waterfall down her eyes.

"Maybe we were cursed to end up like this.."

Beomgyu's heart twisted as she heard the Princess's broken voice.

She wanted to scream to the gods, at the universe, to let them be. Why was this happening to them?

All she could do was lean against the Princess, and speak as softly and reassuringly as she could.

"No..no, don't say that. No...this isn't the end..it can't be. It absolutely can't be..."

"We both know what's our future Love." Kai chuckled bitterly, her body shaking with dispair.

"Death penalty for you, prison and marriage for me."

Beomgyu's heart shattered once again as the words left the Princess's mouth.

She wanted to argue, to deny it, to tell her that they would get out of this, that they'd escape somehow, but deep down, Beomgyu knew she was right.

She let out a quiet sob, tears stinging her eyes, and leaned her head against the Princess's shoulder.

"I'm so sorry.." she mumbled, the words barely coming out coherent. "I'm so, so sorry, My Lady..."

"Don't be..." She smiled softly, looking at her with the same adoration she always did.

"I don't regret this at all. Even if we die Beomgyu.."

Her heart twisted painfully at the Princess's words, feeling like it was being squeezed tightly.

"I don't regret it either," Beomgyu replied, her voice coming out shaky, "I'd follow you anywhere...even if it's to hell, I'll follow you."

"Follow me then.." she smiled bitterly, showing Beomgyu her free wrists. Kai had managed to losen the grip of the rope around her wrists.

"Follow me to death, My Love." She whispered, cupping the older's blood-stained cheeks, looking at her with teary eyes.

Beomgyu didn't need to be told twice.

Her heart was shattered at the sight of the tears rolling down the Princess's face, and at the way her eyes were filled with despair. She wanted to hold her in her arms, to offer her as much comfort as she could.

But all she could do was lean into the Princess's gentle touch and nod silently.

"I will," she spoke, her voice raw with pain, "I'll follow you through hell and back."

"Such sap," the Princess chuckled with tears, pulling out the bottle of pision she had with her, the one she picked up before the knights invaded their cottage.

"If we can't live together, we will die together. I refuse to be touched by anyone else who's not you, Love"

Beomgyu's heart twisted painfully at the words, and her vision swam with tears.

She didn't want to cry...she didn't want the younger to see her cry. But it was hard, so hard, to keep everything in.

"Okay.....me too," she nodded, her voice shaking. "It'll be...it's okay, Princess."

"Yeah... we'll be okay.." she nodded, lips trembling from crying.

"Maybe, in another life, fate would be a little less cruel to us. Maybe in another universe, we would freely love each other."

Beomgyu's heart was shattering into a million painful pieces.

Another life...

In another time, in another world, in another universe, she would have been able to be with the Princess, love her openly, marry her, grow old with her, and die with her.

But that wasn't going to happen in this life.

Beomgyu nodded, the pain in her heart almost too much to bear.

"Yeah...yeah, maybe in another life."

"Mhm. Till we meet again, Love," Kai whispered with a smile, popping open the bottle of the deathly liquid, drinking it in on go, immediately pressing her lips against the Raventte's, kissing her.

Beomgyu let out a quiet gasp as the Princess's lips brushed against hers, the action surprising her.

But then, she could taste it on the Princess's tongue, the poison. It was bitter, with a sickeningly sweet aftertaste.

But she didn't care. She'd rather die a thousand deaths, if it meant being with the Princess.

So she closed her eyes and leaned in a little closer, embracing death, kissing her lover back as hard as she could, as though wanting to imprint the feeling, the taste, into her memory.

Their tongues tangled together, and in that moment, for a brief second, Beomgyu could almost forget about everything else, could almost forget about their cruel fate.

She could just lose herself in the Princess's mouth.

But it didn't last long. Her head was starting to feel like it was swimming, and it was getting harder to breathe...

"I love you, Choi Beomgyu," Kai whispered in between the kiss, veins going numb, mouth already filling up with the bitter white fizz.

Beomgyu's heart twisted, at the Princess's words, the three words she'd wanted to hear from her.

"I love you too...M-my Lady."

Her head spun faster, the poison making her feel like she was losing grip on her consciousness.

But that didn't matter. She was happy. Despite everything, she was happy.

"Let's find each other again...in another lifetime, Love.." whispered Kai in a breathless voice before her body gave out in her lover's arms, a single tear rolling down her cheek.

Beomgyu's head swam, her mind going fuzzy, and her breaths were shaky, coming out short in gasps. Everything around her started to blur, and she could hear shouting and commotion from outside the carriage.

But that didn't matter. She was happy.

"Yes...I'll find you again, My Lady...I'll find you, and I'll love you..."
