hogsmead !

CHAPTER TEN !
hogsmead

IT WAS THE LAST Hogsmead visit before thier exams were starting and November would soon be change into December. So Marlene, Lily and Josi decided to visit Hogsmead one last time, before their studying would take over thier life once more. Alice already had a date with Frank, so she couldn't join them and was already in the little town.

The rest of the girls had slept in and were now putting on theire Jackets, Gryffindor scarfs and hat's before they made their way downstairs to the common room. It was very windy and cold outside. The November weather was making it quiet uncomfortable to be outside.

"I could bet Potter is already waiting for a chance to ask you out again, Lils", Marlene giggled as she looked at Lily, while walking down the stairs to the common room.

Josi followed right behind them, pinning her hair up into a bun.

"Sometimes I just want to punch him in his annoying, pretty face!", Lily mumbled under her breath while shaking her head. Marlene and Josi stopped an shot her two disbelieving looks.

"Did you just say pretty?", Marlene questioned her, not believing her own ears.

"Eww!", Josi gasped disgusted before she looked back at her best friend.

Lily's face had grown crimson red as she tried to deny what had just slipped out of her mouth. "No I didn't! Let's move", she stated while grabbing Marlene and Josi by their arms and dragging them out of the common room.

When the three had finally arrived in Hogsmead they went first to Honeydukes and Zonko, because Josi ran out of Joke articles.

Lily waited outside because according to her, she wouldn't go into such a silly shop. Which meant that Marlene was the one to accompany her.

As the two girls walked through the shelf's, Josi began talking. "You know sometimes I question myself why my brother likes Lily, she is literally the complete opposite of him", Josephine told Marlene while she searched for her things.

"Maybe that's exactly why he likes her, because they are so different", Marlene responded to the brunette. "Maybe it's because that's the interesting thing."

"Maybe", Josi shrugged her shoulders, seeming deep in her won thoughts while they walked to the Cashbox.

"Ahh, Miss Potter, I didn't see you since the Holidays", the shopowner greeted her friendly.

"Hello, um, yes I was pretty preoccupied with School, we have exams before the Winter Holidays", she smiled at him friendly.

"I understand, I actually just saw your brother", he told her while looking at her articles. "I think he and his Friends went into the three Broomstick", he explained to the girls.

Josi looked at Marlene, "I know, I said that this would be a girls only weekend but I can assure you that the boys will talk to us, you know James, he can't stay away from Lily", she told the blond Gryffindor besides her.

Marlene sighed deeply and shrugged. "No, he can't", she said packing Josis things into her bag. The girls then thanked the shopowner and said their goodbye's before stepping out of the shop.

They immediately spotted Lily, who was talking to a group of Gryffindors. Looking closer Josephine saw that it were, Mary McDonald, Dorcas Meadowes, Fabian and Gideon Prewett.

They group had spotted them as well and we're now waking over and greeted them."Hey guys, everything all right?", Marlene greeted them in a very happy tone while Josi just smiled at them.

"Yeah, we were just in Honeydukes and now we are going to Zonko's", Gideon explained to the girls, smirking mischievously. "Have to refill."

"You can join us if you want", Dorcas suggested to the girls, but Marlene lifter her full bag into the air. "Thank you, but we just came from there."

Dorcas nodded her head at her, seeming a bit disappointed. The group started to say their Goodbye's, when Fabian suddenly addressed Josi, "Ehm, Josi— I wondered if you could help me in Potions, Professor Slughorn threatens to let me fail."

Josephine looked at the boy in surprise, she thought about it for a small second. It wouldn't hurt her and she had time, so why don't help a friend out. "Yeah, why not, but only if you convince your mother to make one of her wonderful pies for me."

"Alright then", Fabian agreed whileJosi stretched her hand out and smiled. "I am honored to do business with you, Prewett."

Fabian took her hand in his and they shook, "Same goes for me, Potter. Friday at eight in the library?", Fabian then asked her with a raised eyebrow.

"Come on, Fabian!", Thomas yelled from where he was standing, seeming like he couldn't wait any longer. Fabian looked at him and then back at Josi with a smile. "Yeah, sounds good", she answered the boy while she started rubbing her arms, because of the cold wind.

The Gryffindor Boy then jogged over to his friends, who now entered Zonko's,
he turned back and waved at her.

She smiled and waved back before the girls and her made their way over to the three Broomstick's.

INSIDE THE THREE BROOMSTICKS, a little further away from all the other people, the Marauders were seated at a table in the back corner.

Their Butterbeer's stood on the table infront of them while Sirius was telling the boys a story about his last holidays "Mum said I was an ungreatful git, for all she has done for me and that I should be thankful and some other rubbish", he told them rolling his eyes annoyed.

The group looked at him a little awkward, there was silence before Sirius smiled mischievously. "So I transformed and shredded every pair of shoes I could find, oh- there is also dog hair all over the house", he chuckled amused before he took a sip from his Butterbeer.

The boy chuckled again, "My Mother was absolutely loosing it, it's brilliant!"

His friends now chuckled as well. James was the first one to speake up. "Well, glad to hear you're having fun", he said while he squizzed Sirius shoulder with his hand.

"That's the least I can do to give this old hack a piece of my mind", Sirius shrugged while he placed his butterbeer back down on the table.

His friends nodded, in agreement. "Soooo, it's full moon soon—", Sirius could hear his friend's voice quietly from besides him, but his attention was drawn towards the door, where a small group of girls had just entered the pub.

He immediately recognized the brunette, the blonde and the redhead, who were standing besides them.

The three girls looked around and quickly spotted the boys. Josi waved at them, while she made a short eye contact with Sirius. Lily and Marlene on the other hand, had already rushed over to an empty table, right next to the window and took a seat.

The boys waved back at the brunette, Sirius maybe a little to enthusiastic. Josi chuckled to herself, before she looked away and shook her head to herself. He was so weird since school started again.

All the years she had only thought of Sirius as a player and an arrogant childish boy. But the Sirius she had witnessed in the past week's, was nothing like that.

He was infact sweet, goofy and funny. The girl immediately pushed these thoughts out of her head, he was still a womanizer.

Josephine took a seat on the opposite of Lily and Marlene."Ahh, I can smell Madam Rosmertas waffles", Marlene told the girls excited while she held her nose up and sniffed the air.

Lily let out an amused snorted. "You're obsessed!", she laughed loudly at the blonde. Josi watched the two, with a big smile playing on her lips.

After a while she let her gaze wander back towards the boys and her eyes landed on Remus. He didn't look good, he was pal. Not that he wasn't always, but this time he looked really ill and very exhausted as he rubbed his sleepy eyes.

Every month when the full moon would come around Remus got sick and was always excused from school for a week or two.

His excuse for the girls was always that he didn't feel well or that his mother was sick and he had to visit her, what Josi didn't really believed.

Remus thought that the girls didn't knew about his furry little problem but they did, except for Marlene and Alice.

The walls in the Potter mansion weren't as thick as the boys always thought and Josi could here their little talks about the animagus and full moon thing.

Lily was a genius anyway, so she found out in fifth grade on her own, as she always saw the boys sneek out at night.

Marlene and Alice on the other hand didn't knew about Remus secret, the girls had decided to not tell them, because it wasn't their secret to tell. If Remus had wanted them to know, he would've told them long ago.

Josi was a little disappointed that the boy didn't trust her well enough to tell her about his secret but she also understood that he didn't want anyone to know. She would probably do the exact same.

Despite that the brunette was glad that he had friends like James, Sirius and Peter, who would be there for him and supported Remus though it all.

The girl sighed and her gaze wandered over towards James and Sirius, who currently laughed at some stupid joke James had just made.

Sirius had the black leather jacked on, that Josi had gifted him. And his perfect teeth were showing, when he let out another loud laughter. Stroking his long black hair out of his face, he sloughed down in his seat.

Merlin, he looked so handsome, Josi's breath hitched in her throat.

"Seeing something you like?", she suddenly heared Lily's voice chuckling from her opposite. Josi shook her head and immediately looked towards the redhead, who smirked at her knowingly and wiggled her eyebrows.

Josephine blushed deeply before she looked down at the table. “Shut up!", she immediately shot at Lilly with a small smile playing on her face.

In that moment Madam Rosmerta approched their table. "Hello girls, how is it going?", the women asked them with a smile plastered on her face.

"Oh just fine, but tell me, are those your famous waffles I smell ?", Marleen asked the women while she leaned with her arms on her table and smiled widely.

"Indeed they are, the usual?", The woman questioned the girls, still a smile plastered on her face. "Yes, that would be wonderful", Josephine answered her as she nodded at the women. Madam Rosmerta nodded and immediately made her way back into the kitchen.

Josi turned her head towards Marlene. "So why didn't you go with Dorcas to Zonko's ?", she questioned the blonde girl with narrowed eyes.

Marlene looked like Josephine had caught her off guard, after a moment she shrugged at them. "I don't know, I just got nervous and she was with her friends", the girl began rambling nervously.

Lily touched her arm softly before she spoke. "Hey, I'm sure there will be another chance", she assured the girl besides her. Marlene sighed deeply and nodded with her head before she leaned against the back of her chair.

The girls continued chatting over random things until their Waffles and Butterbeer finally arrived.

"Come to mama", Marlene said as she grabbed the plate frome Rosmerta's hand. She licked her lips and immediately bit into the Waffle, before she leaned back again, seeming satisfied.

Josi chuckled as she grabbed her plate and began eating as well, sometimes she gazed behind Lily and Marlene at the boy's table.

They were still sitting and chatting, she continued drinking and at some point her attention was drawn to James, who made attempts to stand up from were he was seated. Josi immediately gave him a death glare and Sirius tried to hold him back. He grabbed James arm and it looked like he tried to convince him to stay. But James stood up anyway and started to approche the girls.

Josephine immediately stood up and the girls looked at her in confusion. "I'll be right back", she told them awkwardly before she quickly walked towards James.

The Potter boy began smiling widely and stretched out his arms to greet her. "Hello, dear sister mine", he chimmed in a happy voice. But Josephine just narrowed her eyes at her brother and immediately grabbed him by his ear.

"OII-!", he shouted while she dragged him back towards the boys. "Hey, Josi", the three marauders greeted her friendly. Sirius let out a chuckle while he gazed at James.

Josi let go of James ear and pushed him next to Remus and Peter onto the bank. "Are you mental!?", James hissed at her upset while he rubbed his ear. "Don't be such a drama queen, Prongs", Sirius commented smirking.

Josi just ignored that comment and sat down besides Sirius, the boy looked at her side profile with a smug smirk. Josi though was completely oblivious to his gaze. "I thought I made myself clear. You have to give Lily a little space. By Merlin's beared let the poor girl live in peace!", she began to argue with her twin brother.

James just looked at her with his big forest green eyes, "But-", he whined quickly but Josi shushed him immediately as she held her finger up. "You really need to grow up James. Don't be so childish and stop stalking my best friend! I assure you as soon as you let her alone she will want your attention", Josi explained to her twin brother.

There was a silence before Peter spoke up from the other side of the table, his Butterbeer in his hands, "Girl's are so weird."

Josi chuckled quietly and looked over at Peter. "No, Lily is weird", she replied while she looked past the boys at the girls table.

"Is anything wrong with my eyes or did I just saw you outside flirting with Prewett?", her twin suddenly questioned her curiously.

Josi's eyes widened before she shook her head at him. "I didn't flirt with him", she tried to defend herself,  but James interrupted her.

"What did he want from you?", James questioned her, his eyebrows raised at her. The brunette looked at him and leaned onto the table. "It's none of your business, but if you must know, I will tutored him next week in Potions", she snapped at her brother.

"Fabian doesn't-", Peter started but he earned an elbow into his rib from Remus, who gave him a dark glare. Josi furrowed her eyebrows at the exchange but her eyes then snapped back to her table. "Excuse me, I think Marlene just stole my waffle", she said shocked and immediately left the boys to get her waffle back.

Later in the afternoon the girl's walked past the Shrieking Shack. It was supposed to be the most famous haunted house in the wizarding world.  Every then and know you could hear veru strange sounds coming from the Shack, but nobody was brave enough to enter the house and find out what the sounds were.

Afterwards the girls made their way back to Hogwarts, they were deeply caught up in their conversation about the slowly approaching December when Alice and Frank approched them.

Frank had his left arm around Alice shoulder as they both greeted them. "Mckinnon, Evans, Potter", he said as he nodded his head at the girls. Josephine looked at the tall boy. "I thought we already had that Longbottm, call me Josephine!", she smiled at him.

"It's Frank to you then", the boy answered her smiling as well, his arms still hanging around Alice neck. And with that the small group continued their way back towards the castle, joking and laughing.

The afternoon quickly changed into evening and the girls were chatting about their day while Lily was cuddling up on Josi. Marlene and Alice were seated on their opposite on Marlene's bed.

"So what did Frank and you do today?", Josephine asked her friend curious as she ate some sweets frome Honeydukes.

Alice dreamily sighed as she reached for the bag of sweets, "He took me to Madame Pudifoot's." Josi raised her right eyebrow sceptical.

Alice rolled her eyes at Josi. "Yeah, I know, you don't like Madame Pudifoot's, but it was really romantic", she exclaimed as she popped a candy into her mouth.

Lily chuckled amused. "I think that you and Frank are a really cute couple", she told the girl, with a large smile.

"Yeah, you're so cute. I could literally puke", Marlene said in a baby voice as she tackled Alice in a hug. Josi started laughing before she threw herself onto the two girls as well.

"And one day you will be married and have a son named Neville! And he will be best friend with our children", the Potter girl told her excited.

The girls stopped their doing and all looked at her with forwns on their faces. "How did you came up with that name?", Marlene then questioned her, laughing again.

"I don't know, it just came to my mind", Josi shrugged while the others looked at each other before they started laughing again.

"Yeah, sure make your jokes, but remember I called it!", she shouted at them before she laughed as well.
