-Code Breaker-
(season one, episode twelve)
♞
Formal seemed to be the only thing that could've lifted the three teens spirits. Ever since the supernatural had been dropped on them, it seemed to cause a domino effect, where every time they solved an issue, a new one made itself known. Every day, Joey was there. She reminded the boys to be rational, and respectful. With each snarky remark, she brought a smile to someone's face. And now,
there was a chance she was dead.
And Stiles wouldn't be able to live with himself if that was the case.
"No, I'm not letting you leave them here." Stiles voice trembled as he combed through each girls hair with his fingers.
Peter wiped his hands, cleaning the blood as he spoke. "You don't have a choice, Stiles. You're coming with me."
"Just kill me! Look- I don't care anymore." He shouted. He couldn't leave them here. Alone.
Peter didn't waste any time. He pulled the boy up to his feet with a single claw rested under Stiles chin.
"Call your friend. Tell Jackson where they are. That's all you get."
He turned his head slightly and then met Stiles eyes once again. "Unless..."
Stiles eyes widened immediately. "Unless what?"
Laughter filled the air between them. "Unless, Joey wakes up before we leave. Then, I wouldn't mind if you brought her along for the ride. The more the merrier, am I right?"
"What about Lydia?" The boy asked.
Peter paused. "Go ahead and call. I doubt she's strong enough." His smile was disturbing. It made Stiles want to grab the girls and run, then and there.
As the alpha walked away into the woods, Stiles lifted his phone out of his pocket and dialed.
"C'mon Joey." He whispered.
•.•
The crowd was sparse. People were spreading out; walking towards their cars, bikes, etc. Formal was over, and it didn't even end on a good note.
"Somebody help! Help me!"
Jackson was carrying Lydia towards the school screaming. His voice echoed in peoples ears. "Get help! Please!" He begged.
Joey didn't wake up in time to go with Stiles. But she wasn't there when Jackson showed. So where was she?
•.•
The Jeep drove steadily down the road. Stiles as the driver. Peter in the passenger seat.
Noticing Stiles' expression, Peter sighed. "Oh don't be so sad. If they live, they'll be werewolves. And we both known they'll be incredibly powerful."
"Yeah, and once a month, while I'm hanging out with Joey, she'll try to tear me apart." Stiles voice was broken, fragile.
"Well, actually, considering that she's a women...Twice a month."
The teen gave him a disgusted glare. "I understand you're a big bad werewolf- But Joey is already supernatural."
"Don't try and be funny." Peter laughed.
"I'm not." His eyes glanced back at the road.
It had been fifteen minutes before they pulled into a parking lot. Peter held Stiles by the collar as he dragged the boy around to the much nicer car nearby.
"Who's car is this?" Stiles asked, after the alpha removed his grip.
"It belonged to my nurse."
"What happened to your nur-"
He interrupted himself by seeing the exact nurses body, when the trunk was lifted.
"Oh my god!"
Peters gaze held a cold look. "I got better." He then pulled a bag out from under her and closed the trunk.
•.•
The laptop that was removed from the bag was a Mac. Shocker.
"You're a Mac guy? Does that go for all werewolves or is that a personal preference?" Stiles said, voice filled with sarcasm.
"Turn it on." Peter demanded.
"You're really killing the whole werewolf mystique thing here."
But, he did as told and turned it on.
"You still need Scott's username and password, and I'm sorry, but I don't know them."
Peter sighed. "You know both of them."
The boy rolled his eyes. "No, I don't."
"Even if I couldn't hear your heartbeat, I would still be able to tell that you're lying."
"Dude, I swear to god-"
Stiles was cut off by his head being smashed into the hood. He let out a groan.
"I can be very persuasive, Stiles. Don't make me persuade you." The alpha threatened.
•.•
The elevator dinged. Jackson walked out, clothes a mess, hair a mess, just a mess in general.
"Where is she?" He shouted. Soon meeting eyes with Lydia's asleep body in the other room. The window was open for everybody to see.
Sheriff Stilinski shuffled through the officers and grabbed Jackson by the collar. "What happened to that girl?" He demanded.
"I don't know. I went out looking for her."Jackson rambled.
"And you just happened to walk out to the field and fine her like that? Don't lie to me, son."
The blondes eyes widened. "No, I- This isn't my fault."
The sheriff threw him against the glass. "She's your girlfriend. That's your responsibility!"
"No she's not! She didn't go to the formal with me."
"Then who'd she go with?"
"She went alone. I'm just the messenger."
"What do you mean?"
Jackson scoffed. "Stiles called me and told me to look for her and Joey Russo on the field."
Noah held a confused look. "Then where's Joey?"
"She wasn't there, sir. Stiles took Joey. He left her somewhere and told me to find her."
Sheriff Stilinski let go of him.
"Somebody find my son and his girlfriend!"
•.•
Jenson panted as he pulled the blonde through the woods. Her body was limp, she was still unconscious.
"My house isn't that far, come on." He mumbled.
After five rough minutes, he finally arrived. Dragging her body through the front door and into the living room. He lifted her up and set her down on the couch. Jenson grabbed a chair and pulled it close to the couch and sat down.
"Wake up, please. The family will literally disown me. Hopefully not more than they already do."
•.•
"Do you know why a wolf hunts in a pack?" Peter asked. "Their pray is to large to be brought down on its own. That's why I need Derek and Scott."
"He's not gonna help you." Stiles sighed.
"Oh, he will. Because it'll save Allison. And you will, because it'll Scott and Joey. Your best friends whom you know so well, you have their username and password."
The teen sighed and began to type; not looking up from the screen.
"His username is Allison?"
Stiles typed again.
"His password is also Allison?"
"Still want him in your pack?"
•.•
The living room was silent, except for the very quiet music in the background. It reeked of a metallic smell, and the furniture was outdated.
It was just like a house from the eighties.
"If you don't wake up soon, we're gonna have problems. Like seriously, i'll fight you or something. And i'll win. Get up."
Jenson knew she probably couldn't hear him. He just thought that maybe if she could, it would help her wake up.
•.•
Stiles eyes never left the screen as he tracked Derek. "They're keeping him at his own house?"
Peter rolled his eyes. "Not at it, under it. I know exactly where that is. And I'm not the only one. Give me your keys."
He knew he didn't have a choice. "Careful, she grinds in a second."
Stiles threw the keys into Peters hands. Only to be met with the keys bent when he caught them.
"Wait, you're not gonna kill me?"
He asked, watching Peter unlocked the car.
"Don't you understand yet? I'm not the bad guy here."
"You turn into a giant monster with red eyes and fangs and you're not the bad guy here?" He rambled.
"I like you Stiles. Since you've helped me. I'm going to give you something in return. Do you want the bite?" Peter said slowly.
"What?"
"Do you want the bite?"
"I don't want to be like you." Stiles said in a shaky voice.
"Do you know what I heard just then? Your heart beating slightly faster over the words 'I don't want.' You may believe that you're telling the truth, but you are lying to yourself. Goodbye Stiles."
With no other words shared, Peter got in the car and closed the door.
But it was two doors that closed instead of one.
Stiles being supernatural, and the car.
•.•
By the time Stiles finally arrived at the hospital, where Jackson had said Lydia would be, he was sweating and out of breath.
His body finally stopped running when he ran into someone.
"You know what? It's good we're in a hospital, because I'm gonna kill you."
His father.
"I'm sorry. I lost the keys to my Jeep. I had to run all the way here."
"Stiles, I don't care!" He shouted.
"Are they gonna be okay?"
"They? Only Lydia is is here, son. Joey wasn't at the field. They don't know what happened."
"What do you mean? Where's Joey?"
"We don't know. We'll find her, okay? Did you see anything? What attacked them, Stiles?"
The boy shrugged and wiped his sweat partially. "I don't know, I have no idea."
•.•
"Stiles where are you going?" Jackson said, following Stiles around the hospital.
"To find Scott."
"You don't have a car."
"I'm aware of that, thank you."
Jackson sighed. "I'll drive, come on-"
"Just because you feel guilty all of a sudden, doesn't make it alright. Half of this is still your fault." The boy said, pushing Jackson.
"Look, I have a car. You don't. Do you want my help or not?"
"Alright, did you bring the Porsche?"
"Yeah."
"Good, I'll drive."
Stiles grabbed the keys out of Jackson's hand and began to walk. Only to be stopped by Chris Argent. The very man, who's family had Derek captured.
"Boys. I was wondering if you could tell me where Scott McCall is."
"Scott McCall?" Stiles asked. "I haven't seen him since the dance. Jackson, you?"
"I... Uh..."
"For the love of God..." Stiles sighed.
Chris knew they were lying. Guess, all Argents just know.
Allison's father pulled both boys into a near room and locked it behind him as he closed door.
"Let's try this again. Where is Scott?"
"I don't know."
"Stiles-" Chris threw him against the door. "You want hear a story?"
"Not really. No offense on your story telling skills but I'm not interested."
"I watched my friend turn on a full moon." He continued. "Have you ever witnessed that?"
Stiles rolled his eyes. "Nope, sorry."
"Stiles, I was forced to put a bullet in between my friends eyes-"
"Yeah? You burn the house down around him to?"
Mr. Argent laughed. "Not to shut down any rumors you may have heard, but, we never did that."
"Right... The code. I'm guessing no one ever breaks that then?"
He sighed. "Like who?"
"You're sister."
•.•
"God, finally you're awake..."
"Where am I?"
"Forget about that right now. We have so much to talk about."
A Few Weeks Later...
"Shut the door." Scott whispered to Stiles.
The boy nodded and shut it. Just making a ton of noise in the process. Which they were avoiding.
The pair walked towards Lydia and examined her. Scott lifted the bandage and looked at the recently inflicted marks.
"Are they healed?" Stiles asked.
"Not at all."
Stiles turned quickly to his friend. "I don't get it. The doctors said she'd be fine."
"The bites not healing like it did with me. Which mean... She's not a werewolf."
Lydia rested in silence as the boys spoke.
"Then what the hell is she?" Stiles asked.
•.•
"Derek, I helped you! Now give me what I want!" Jackson yelled; walking inside Derek's house.
He was met with nothing but silence, until...
Derek jumped down and smiled at the boy, glowing red eyes glaring at him.
Growls filled the air, nothing less, and nothing more.
