(05) Sandwich Shop

"Come on." Peter grabbed her hand pulling her over to a sandwich shop. "W'sup, Mr. Delmar."

"Hey, Mr. Parker." Peter dropped two bags of gummy worms onto the counter "Number five?"

"Yeah, and um, with pickles, and can you smoosh it down real flat, thanks." The waiter nodded "You got it boss."

"And for the lady?"

"Ice cream." Vierra smiled brightly seeing the sign outside. "What kind?" Vierra's jaw dropped, how was she supposed to know there's more than one kind of ice cream? "She wants vanilla." Vierra nodded, and the man looked between the two curiously.

"You're not from here, are you?" Vierra chuckled "You could say that, yes."

"How's your aunt?" Peter crossed his arms over his chest, "Yeah, she's alright." The man spun around to one of his coworkers "Ella es una mujer italiano muy caliente. (She's a very hot Italian woman.)"

"¿Como esta tu hija, eh? (How is your daughter?)" Vierra didn't understand the language the two males were using, but the older man seemed to be offended, "Ten dollars."

"It's five dollars." Peter pointed to the menu "It's only seven when you add the ice cream."

"For that comment, it's ten dollars."

"Aye, come on, I'm joking, I'm joking." Vierra pulled out the wallet Tony had given her filled with a 500 dollars in cash, and a debit card with 1,000 on it. She pulled out a fifty dollar bill, and dropped it on the counter. "You can keep the change."

Mr. Delmar picked it up with a smirk. "You should bring her more often." Peter merely nodded, "I agree."

Peter walked over to a cat lying on the counter. "What's up, Murph? How ya doing buddy?" He scratched the fluff ball before walking back over to the counter, and grabbing his sandwich.

Mr. Dellmore handed Vierra a waffle cone with four scoops of ice cream in it. "So, hows school?"

"Oh, you know, it's boring I got better things to do." "Stay in school, kids, stay in school. Otherwise, you'll end up like me." Peter raised his hands pointing at the surrounding building "This is great."

"The best sandwiches in Queens." Peter looked over to Vierra who had already eaten almost half of her ice cream cone. "So... what do you think?" Vierra stopped her eating to turn to Peter.

"It is divine. What sort of magic do you use to make a treat like this?"
Mr. Delmar chuckled "It's something I like to call, sugar." Vierra nodded, and Peter watched the Asgardian girl with a smile. "Come on, Vi-Hope, we got more things to do."

"We do?"

"Uh-Huh." Vierra followed Peter out of the shop biting in to her waffle cone. "Where are we going?" Peter ran past the street.

"You'll see." They ran into an alleyway, and Peter pulled of his shoes. He began to grab his suit from his backpack, and pulled down his pants.

"Woah, woah, woah, woah!" Peter stopped looking over to Vierra "Sorry. Do you wanna, maybe turn around?" Vierra nodded fumbling with the middle jewel on her charm bracelet, it was a present from Tony, and the middle bead had a small picture of Mjolnir engraved into it with lighting around it.

Peter pulled on his suit just as Vierra kicked off her shoes, and pulled of her leather jacket. She opened her backpack to find her suit folded in the small pocket. While she pulled it on over her clothes, Peter took one peer back at the girl to find she had already changed into a suit she wasn't wearing in the airport.

Peter had his bag webbed to a dumpster when Vierra turned around. "Woah." Via smirked pulling on her boots. "You don't have a mask?"

"Tony made the suit, I don't control what I wear." Peter  sighed before nodding "You ready?" Vierra's eyes morphed into gold "Try to keep up, kid." Five words Vierra had heard from Tony many times.

Vierra pushed off of the ground, and flew upwards. "You're only a year older than me!" Peter called swinging from his webs from building to building. "Yes, but I'm an Avenger." Peter laughed "Your point?"

"What do you see?" Peter scanned the surrounding area. "Uhh, nothing." Vierra's lips pressed into a thin line "You're supposed to have a spider senses right? Look closely." Peter nodded looking back down to Queens. "Bike robbery."

"Go get 'em, Pete." Peter stopped "Wait, you're not coming with me?" Vierra stayed crouched down on the roof. "I'm only here if you need help. You don't need my assistance, so... 'Go get 'em Pete'." Peter swung down, and Vierra watched him amusedly.

Peter landed in front of the bike robber "Hey, can you hold this for a second?" Peter shot a web onto the man's chest "Thanks." The robber flew up, and Vierra smiled.

Pretty good, Peter.

She didn't think he needed any help until he waved the bicycle in the air. "Hey, is this anybody's? No?" A man stepped out of the clothes shop next to Peter. "Hey, buddy, is this your bike?" The man shook his head walking by. "Hey, does anyone have a pen?" Vierra rolled her eyes when Peter wrote down a note leaving it on the bike.

The again, she had never been in that situation, so she couldn't really think of anything better.

The day had been going pretty well. Peter didn't need Vierra's help. They chilled on the roof of a train as it drove, for a while before Vierra followed Peter down the streets of New York. They ended up sitting on the capitol building of New York City.

"So, who's Pietro?" Vierra spun around to Peter who was still wearing his mask. "He's this kid I used to know." Peter bit his tongue. "He seemed pretty important to you when you were talking with your friends."

Vierra blinked, and the deceased body of Pietro Maximoff flashed through her golden eyes. "He di—" "HEY!" Vierra blinked away the change, and the two looked down to chubby man whom was standing next to a hotdog truck. "YOU'RE THAT SPIDERGUY FROM YOUTUBE RIGHT?! YOU'RE THOR'S DAUGHTER TOO!"

Vierra couldn't see it, but she assumed Peter was smiling. "Call me Spiderman!" The pudgy man glanced back to his friend "OKAY SPIDERMAN! DO A FLIP." Peter stood up "Peter, don't."

Spiderman pushed off of his feet flipping backwards, and Vierra sighed shaking her head.

Dork.

"YEAH!" Peter turned to Vierra before doing a bow causing her to laugh. "Come on, this is boring." Vierra followed Peter through almost the whole city. Well... it at least felt like to Vierra.

The elemental manipulating girl stayed perched on a roof when Peter gave an old lady directions. She then bought Peter a churro, and he (,so kindly) ended up giving it to Vierra.

The day was the most fun Vierra had since... probably the victory feasts they would have in Asgard. Peter, and Vierra sat next to each other on a railing for one of the hotel's patios. She waited for him to call Happy patiently.

Vierra felt bad that Happy never answered Peter, but he never answered her either, and Tony only texted twice a week. "Hey, Happy. Um, here's my report tonight. I stopped a grand theft bicycle, I couldn't find the owner, so I just left a note. Um, I helped this lost old Dominican lady, she was really nice, and bought me a churro. I just uh- I feel like I could be doing more. I just wanna know when our next real mission's gonna be. Oh, and you can tell Mr. Stark Vierra's been great help, so far... and, yeah, just call me back. It's Peter.... Parker."

Peter blew out a sigh "Why would I tell him about the churro?" Vierra shrugged taking another bite. "Because it's delicious."

"Really? Can I have a bite?" Vierra ripped of the bottom end, and handed it to Peter. He looked down to his web shooter, and pressed a button, a small trinket popped out of the shooter, and Peter stated a few opinionated complaints before finally grabbing it... just for him to drop his part of the churro.

Vierra laughed "Would you like another piece?" Peter hesitantly nodded, and Via smiled softly pulling off another piece when their small interaction was interrupted by the sound of whispers. "Come on, hurry!"
