You should not judge Quin without getting to know him first. He is generally a little bit sarcastic to begin with, and acts like he dislikes people right off the bat. His general demeanour is not one of friendly smiles and polite conversation, but if you aren't too irritating then he may use his sense of humour to crack a few sarcasm ridden jokes. He is easily annoyed, but is good at restraining his anger. He may snap at you at little and ask you to back off, but his full, unrestrained anger is something that rarely surfaces, and it isn't pretty. The only time his anger really surfaces is when someone consistently tries to criticise him or tries to get into his head. He doesn't want people to see what is in his head. He is very distrustful of new people, but he occasionally will have pleasant conversation if he's in the mood, and if he finds someone either interesting or non-annoying he may be more genuinely friendly, but that won't stop the sarcasm. He gets a little jumpy around big crowds and prefers to be in smaller groups, but knew that he'd have to face them in the selection. When he's scared, he feels incredibly vulnerable and that why he pretends nothing scares him, because he doesn't want people to take advantage of it. He doesn't trust easily, not at all, but it's not impossible. He can be a bit of a flirt if he's bored, but he tends to do it in his own broody way. It's rather amusing to watch. Despite his slight hostile demeanour, Quin knows when to hold his tongue and be respectful, even if he really feels like insulting them.

𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄𝐒
-Singing. He loves his voice, and it's probably one of the only things he truly adores. When he had nothing, he always had his voice.

-Music. This is an accompanying like to his voice, because what is singing without music. He did learn the piano when he was young, but no other instruments, and he really wants to learn some.

-Black. The colour black is a rather useful colour for him since it makes him feel safe. He may look slightly intimidating, but that's kind of the point. He uses it like a shield, to stop people coming up to him without thinking about it first. (He also likes purple but 🤫)

-Stars. Cliche, I know, but Quin has always had a unique fascination with stars. Sometimes he'd sleep in the garden at night to watch them, and would only go inside if his mother forced him too.

-Late night conversations. This is only with people he trusts wholeheartedly, but he loves to talk about weighty topics such as life and death, and not so weighty topics like stupid silly things.

𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄𝐒
-People Who prod. He really hates it when people assume things about him and then proceed to bug him with questions. He honestly hates nothing more.

-Endless positivity. He can't stand people who are just constant balls of joy and light. 'Look on the bright side' and 'think happy' are two phrases he detests with a passion and he will let you know how irritating you are.

-Spicy Foods. This one may seem a little random, but Quin hates spicy foods with a passion. He honestly can't stand the sensation of spice and avoids it at all costs.

𝐇𝐎𝐁𝐁𝐈𝐄𝐒
Well, Quin like to play the piano if that counts. He finds it entrancing the way he can craft music from pressing a few keys and spends quite a lot of time learning new pieces. He also is a bit of a star-watcher at night and likes to try and identify constellations, though he isn't big into the technical side of it. He can cook a bit, but only really does this on the holidays.

𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐌𝐒
How Quin speaks greatly depends on his mood. When irritated (which is a considerable amount of the time) he tends to grumble as he speaks and mumble when he feels embarrassed. He tends to clench his fists or rub them against the side of his legs when he's talking, and crosses his arms when about to get mad. (Sorry if thats bad XD)

𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐒
Pfft where do I start? To start, he is closed off from most people, and rarely shares what he's feeling (thinking is a whole other matter). He says exactly what he thinks most of the time, which is usually some sarcastic declaration of how he views people. He has a bad attitude and is not very open to new people or things.

He has a good (if not slightly insulting) sense of humour and is quite witty when he wants to be. He's not ashamed to be himself even if others hate him for it, and he's content to be by himself for prolonged periods of time.

Quin was the only child of Mollie and Daniel Seaver, two poor manual labourers. Despite the little they had in life, they cared for Quin as best as they could. Quin was always a bit of a secluded child, much preferring his own company to that of others. He spent his days wondering the streets and watching the stars, playing the piano and learning things, rather than playing with other kids. He never knew how to act around them, often shouting and getting angry. So he spent his time by himself, and he was okay with that. When he was about 14, they didn't have enough money to pay the tax and his mother was killed of for it. That was when Quin was forced to get a job and leave his days of childhood behind. Together, him and his father managed to scrounge enough money to keep on top of their taxes and other daily expenses, but they grew further apart, rarely talking and only seeing each other a couple of times a day. Eventually, Quin saved enough money and moved out, getting a small apartment for himself.

Despite his scepticism, Quin is oddly excited for the selection. He knows the king is cruel and Quin hates him with a passion but so often he finds himself bored or lonely, and he wants to see what it would be like to see the palace and meet the royals. And you never know, maybe, just maybe, he'll make a friend. Yeah, probably not.
