"Here are your other belongings, ma'am."

You place the box of her items on the desk, as she looks at you and smiles. Your boss was retiring and a new one would be taking over her place.

"I'll miss you, ma'am." You sniffle and hug her, as she hugs you back.

"Oh Y/n, i'll still keep in contact with you. Tell me when you have a boyfriend! I'd love to meet him." She says, making you chuckle.

"You're all so grown up. Don't be stubborn, okay?" She ruffles your hair and stands up, grabbing the box and her luggage.

"I'll get going now. Bye Y/n." You bow at her as her figure disappears from your sight, exiting the office building.

You sigh and go back to your place, resting your head on your wooden made desk.

"Cheer up Y/n." Your friend from work scoots her chair near you and pats your back, giving you some sort of comfort.

"I know, i just won't get used to a new boss." You sigh.

"Say, you wanna eat something?" She asks you, her eyes lighting up from happiness.

"You can eat later, ladies."

You both turn around to see a guy with a formal outfit, wearing shades, and apparantly holding a starbucks drink.

He probably is the replacement.

You, your friend and all the other workers bowed at him. Why was he wearing shades inside the building though?

Well, your wish has been granted.

He takes off his shades and smiles at everyone, making your lips part.

"I'm Jake Shim, and i will be the replacement of Mrs Kim."

You sit back on your chair, gulping. You stared at his figure through the glass walls of his new office, not knowing you were looking at him as since he was on a phone call.

"He didn't change at all..."

"Who didn't?" Your friend scoots her chair closer to you, munching on her chips.

"Huh? Oh uhm, nothing."

"Ayee, i've been looking at you for the past 5 minutes. He is quite handsome." You hiss at her and glare.

"Is he your friend?"

"A childhood friend. He was my best friend, until he moved away." You sigh.

"Ooh, sounds like a love story." You hit her shoulder, making her chuckle.

"Go approach him, its not a bug dea-"

"No! He probably doesn't remember me anymore."

"Aish, you're never getting a boyfriend with that attitude."

You walk on the halls of the office, wanting to go downstairs to receive something from another business company on the reception.

You saw the elevator doors starting to close, so you rushed to it and shouted 'wait'.

The doors opened again, and you saw Jake holding the open button.

"Are you getting in?"

You snap out of your thoughts and hurriedly went inside as the doors closed. It was a very tall building, about 40 floors high, so you knew it was gonna be a long way down.

Awkwardness and silence started filling up the space, making your press your lips together.

You noticed your shoe laces were untied, so you bent down and tied them.

"Nice bracelet." Jake speaks, making you stop your actions and stand up, awkwardly smiling.

"W-well, you gave it to me." You awkwardly laugh.

"I know. Just surprised you're still wearing it." He says. With the corner of your eye, you could see him smiling.

"I-i mean, its a pretty nice bracelet."

"That's it?"

"A-and because it remind me of..y-you."

You hated his little power to make you blush and stutter. To him it was cute, to you it was annoying.

The doors of the elevator slid open, and many people came in. Since you and Jake were close to each other, lots of people had squished you two. You ended up getting pinned to the wall by him, making you blush red.

He smiles at you, as your shy self looks away, trying your best not to make eye contact cause if you did, uh oh.

One person had stepped backwards, making his lips go closer to yours, inches from touching each others. You obviously noticed it, and bit your lip, looking away with closed eyes.

Nah, its been 7 years since you last saw each other, you can't still have a crush on him. Can you?

The elevator stopped, as the doors slid open once again. All the people that had got in before, came out, leaving you two alone again.

You coughed as he unpins you, scratching the back of his neck.

"I-i'm sorry." He apologized.

"Huh? N-nah, its okay. Worse things had happened." You laugh, scooting a little away from him.

"Not gonna lie..."

"You're still so pretty after 7 years of not seeing each other."

You widen your eyes and turn your head to him, your face instantly became red.

"I-i uhm...t-thanks." Yup. You definitely still had a crush on him.

"Your mom told me you still like me."

You choked on air and looked at him with dead ass big eyes.

"I visited your house earlier and your mom welcomed me. She brought up about how much you still like me and miss me." Your mother did what?!

"W-what? N-no! She's old, she doesn't know what she's talking about." You brush it off as Jake chuckles at you.

"W-what's funny?" You cross your arms.

"Nothing, you just were always so cute. Reminds me of when i had a crush on you."

You swore, your heart beated fast. He liked you?! When?! How?! What?!

"T-that's good to hear..." You didn't know what to say, and it just came out of your mouth.

"Don't worry, i still like you even now."

Your head jolted towards his direction as you gulped, shook with the sort of great yet weird news.

"I-its okay if you still really don't like me, i-"

"No, no i do still like you. I still love you in fact, Jake Shim."

He smiles at you and comes closer to you, making sure to lock his eyes with yours.

"Yah, what are you doing? There's so much space back there." You scold him, as your back hits the wall and his face gets closer to yours, feeling his breath on your lips.

"I-isn't this your stop?"

"Its okay, i can go up again anyways. I'd rather tower your small height." He laughs at you, as you roll your eyes and grab him closer by his tie.

"Just shut up and kiss me."
