As the sun began to rise, Jungkook was already wide awake, practically bouncing with excitement. Today was the day Taehyung had promised to take her to court with him, and she couldn't wait. Barely able to hold back her enthusiasm, she leaned over and lightly shook his shoulder. "TaeTae, wake up! It's morning! Today's the day you're taking me to court!"
Taehyung groaned softly, burying his face in the pillow, clearly still wanting a bit more sleep. "Five more minutes, baby love," he mumbled, his voice muffled and sleepy. But Jungkook was adamant, giggling as she tugged the blanket down just enough to see his face, his face was so cutely puffed. She watched him with a bright smile until he finally opened his eyes, blinking against the morning light. With a playful sigh, he pulled her close, wrapping her in a warm hug. "Alright, alright. You win," he chuckled, pressing a gentle kiss on her forehead.
Once they were both up, Jungkook eagerly asked Taehyung to help her pick out an outfit for the day. She wanted to look perfect, even though she'd just be sitting in the courtroom to watch him work. She looked through her wardrobe with a pleading expression until Taehyung laughed softly and chose a classic outfit for her—a silk black shirt and a simple skirt that suited her well. She squealed with joy, quickly dressing and doing a little twirl for him to show it off. "Do I look good?" she asked, her cheeks turning pink.
"Perfect," he murmured with a warm smile, reaching out to fix a small wrinkle in her blouse.
Then, while Taehyung checked his files and sorted through his evidence for the case, Jungkook busied herself making breakfast in the kitchen. She prepared a simple meal, humming softly as she worked. When the food was ready, they ate together, with Taehyung gently encouraging her to eat a bit more, knowing how excited she was for the day ahead.
Once breakfast was finished, it was finally time to leave. As they stepped outside, Taehyung noticed the slight chill in the air. Without hesitation, he reached for an oversized overcoat, carefully wrapping it around Jungkook to keep her warm. The coat was so big that it almost swallowed her up, but she looked up at him with grateful eyes, snuggling into its warmth. "Thank you," she whispered with a shy smile.
"Only the best for my baby love," Taehyung said with a gentle squeeze of her hand. He kept her close, guiding her into the car and making sure she was comfortable before starting their journey.
When they arrived at the courthouse, Jungkook's eyes widened in awe as she took in the grand building in front of her. She clutched her bag tightly, feeling both excited and nervous. Taehyung led her inside, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze as they walked through the large hallways with their polished floors and high ceilings.
Inside the courtroom, Taehyung directed her to a front-row seat, where she would have a perfect view of everything happening. As the session began, Jungkook watched him with intense focus, taking in every part of the process. Taehyung looked completely different from the gentle husband she knew—his posture was tall and confident, his expression serious, and his voice loud and clear as he spoke to the judge and jury.
As the case went on, Jungkook found herself on the edge of her seat. The arguments were intense, and she could hardly breathe, biting her nails nervously as she watched Taehyung work. His voice rang with authority as he presented evidence, each word perfectly placed to build his case. Jungkook was in awe of his skill, feeling her heart swell with pride.
Finally, the moment came when Taehyung presented a striking piece of evidence. It was so impactful that the opposing lawyer went silent, his mouth hanging open. The judge nodded thoughtfully, and soon after, the ruling was in Taehyung's favor.
Jungkook could barely hold back a squeal of excitement, clapping her hands softly and beaming at him from her seat. Taehyung glanced over, catching her eye, and gave her a small, proud smile. After the session, he walked over to her, and she immediately reached up to hug him, unable to contain her happiness.
"Congratulations Advoacte Kim!!"
As they stepped outside the courthouse, Jungkook clung tightly to Taehyung's arm, her eyes shining with excitement. "Oh my God! Oh my god!! Taetae, you rocked the floor!" she exclaimed, her voice brimming with pride and admiration. "I was this close to jumping up and scratching that old guy's face! The nerve of him, talking like that with my husband! Huh!"
She continued to babble, gesturing animatedly. "Did you see his face? He looked so defeated! He really thought he could outsmart the great Advocate Kim? The audacity!"
Taehyung couldn't help but chuckle at her passionate little rant. Hearing her shower him with compliments, even in her dramatic way, filled him with a sense of pride and warmth. He glanced down at her, amused by the fiery look in her eyes and her fierce protectiveness over him.
Jungkook continued her animated rant as they walked down the courthouse steps, practically vibrating with energy. "And that judge! Did you see his face? He looked so grumpy and serious, like someone stole his breakfast or something! Honestly, he could've at least cracked a smile when you totally nailed that last argument!"
Taehyung chuckled, amused by her exaggerated expressions. Jungkook's fierce little monologue was one of the cutest things he'd ever seen, and it made him feel even prouder.
"And don't even get me started on that slimy opponent of yours," she huffed, crossing her arms dramatically. "The way he smirked at you, as if he actually had a chance? Like, please! It only made him look uglier! Seriously, he thought he could stand up to my Taetae, the greatest advocate out there?"
Her eyes sparkled with admiration as she gazed up at him, and she began showering him with even more compliments. "You were soooooo amazing, Taetae! The way you spoke so confidently, like you owned the room... Everyone just had to listen to you. And when you brought out that final piece of evidence, oh my gosh! You were like a knight in shining armor, saving the day in the most perfect way!"
Taehyung's heart swelled at her words, and he reached over to gently pat her rosy cheeks. "You're really something, you know that? All this fierce loyalty for your husband, ready to go to battle for me." He chuckled, feeling warmth spread through him at her fierce protectiveness.
Jungkook giggled, squeezing his arm proudly. "Of course! No one messes with my Taetae and gets away with it. I'm your biggest fan, after all!"
"Then I want the same duplicate of mine in the future too, Mrs. Kim," Taehyung said, his eyes lighting up with a challenge, a playful glint dancing in them. Jungkook, not missing a beat, met his gaze with a determined expression and replied, "Of course, it's you who is my inspiration. I will work hard to be like you."
Taehyung chuckled, amused by her fiery determination. He reached out and patted her head fondly, as if she were a little kid. "You're adorable, my baby love, but don't think it's going to be easy. Being like me takes years of hard work, focus, and a little bit of that Kim magic."
Jungkook puffed out her cheeks, not fazed by his teasing. "I can do it. You'll see, Mr. Kim. I'll work hard and become just as powerful as you are."
Taehyung's heart swelled with pride at her words. He leaned forward, cupping her face gently in his hands. "May you go higher than me, darling. But don't forget, no matter how high you go, I'll always be by your side, cheering you on."
Jungkook's eyes softened, a small smirk forming on her lips. "Wait and watch, Mr. Kim. I'll make you proud."
"Always proud of you, my sweet baby love," Taehyung said, his voice laced with affection. He leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead, his heart full of love and admiration for the woman she was becoming.
Jungkook giggled, her heart fluttering in her chest. "You better be ready to compete with me one day," she teased, her eyes twinkling with excitement. Taehyung's eyes sparkled at her determined response, a proud smile curving his lips. "That's my girl," he said, his voice soft yet full of pride. He reached over to cup her cheeks, gently squishing them. "But don't think I'll make it easy for you, Mrs. Kim. If you're going to be my rival in the courtroom someday, you better bring your best."
Jungkook's eyes lit up with excitement, a playful challenge in her gaze. "Oh, don't worry, Mr. Kim. One day, I'll be standing across from you in court, giving you a run for your money." She grinned, her cheeks still squished between his hands.
Taehyung chuckled, letting go of her cheeks and ruffling her hair affectionately. "I look forward to it, sweetheart," he murmured, his voice filled with warmth and admiration. He could already imagine the day—Jungkook standing confidently in a courtroom, ready to face him head-on.
