TSUKISHIMA KEI

i stare at the two visitors aside from hinata and yamaguchi. wow, they sure are frenemies.

"how come you even accepted his favor!? are you out of your mind!?" reo shouts lowly, trying so hard not to be loud.

"i just happen to accept it because i also have something to do with tsukishima, okay!? geez." kageyama replies lowly as well.

as the two continued on bickering with each other, i sighed and glanced over yamaguchi and hinata who were talking about hinata's lectures for the shrimp to understand.

"would you two quiet down? it's the middle of the night and you two make it seem like it's still morning." i roll my eyes at the two of them.

reo toned down and focused on our project, but kageyama seemed to be so into their arguement and glared at her like there is no tomorrow.

idiot.

"go to tsukishima and get yourself better in modern literature. i'll finish this myself." reo says, slapping her cheeks at the same time with both of her hands and started working on our project.

"come here, king." i command.

"i told you to stop calling me that." kageyama glares at me, pissed off.

"well, if you want to pass your modern literature exam, you'll have to follow a peasant's commands for now." i chant teasingly with a smug smirk. it sure is fun to play around.

the king grumpily made his way beside me, which is the cue for me to teach this idiot.

through the lessons we've been talking about, i kept staring at reo.

i don't really know why but i have a gut feeling that something's bothering her mind as of now.

she's working on our class project on herself, yet she never asks for help at all. she also has her earphones stuck on her ears.

maybe she doesn't want to be disturbed?

"hey, you blonde telephone pole, you've been spacing out for the past 20 minutes." i snap back to reality when kageyama said those words.

"blonde... telephone pole?" i look at him in disbelief.

"why the heck were you looking at her, though?" he asks suddenly, making me shy all of a sudden.

crap. was i too obvious?

"you're thinking that she has something in mind, am i correct?" he asks once again, making me look at him in surprise, like as if he had read my mind.

"don't compare her to you just because she listens to music that much over serious situations." he says with his own smug smirk, making me smack the back of his head.

"it was just a hunch, king. besides, we never know what's going on inside that head of hers." i explain, reading kageyama's contents on his modern literature notebook.

"to be honest, i do. you see, reo and i are really the opposite of each other, and since we've known each other for years, it's like what we think, what we do or what we say is almost predicted."

i raise my eyebrow at him.

"that doesn't connect to what we are talking about." i tell him, laughing.

"i tried to explain it, okay!?" he shouts angrily.

it's the first time but i can understand what he was saying a moment ago.

of course, no one in this room could've ever known reo rather than the king himself. he knows her well and the same as reo. therefore, kageyama might know what's going on inside her head.

but despite of that fact, i do sense that something was wrong.

pft, whatever. can't interfere, anyways.
