KILLY BOYS HOUSEHOLD
❝AGAIN,❞ TOBIAS' DEEP VOICE REVERBRATED through the small dimly lit room, standing on a mat with none other than his daughter across from him. Atlas pulled her water bottle from her mouth, a thin layer of sweat covering every skin cell of her body.
Atlas blew out an exaggerated groan. "I'm tired," she complained. Tobias cocked an eyebrow at his daughter who held a fake confidence as she stared back at him hoping not to break under his intense gaze. "Fine. Hit the showers."
Atlas smirked pressing a gentle kiss to her father's cheek before dashing from the training room. Tobias watched his daughter exit the room earnestly knowing it was wrong for him to go easy on her.
The time would come when Atlas would be put in danger no matter what the Killy boys would do to prevent it. She needed to be stronger than any possible threat to her life.
Atlas pulled her curtain away from the window, the sun barely peaking above the horizon to greet them for a warm day. She smiled softly before grabbing a suitable outfit, and heading for the restroom she unfortunately had to share with her Uncle Eddie.
Eddie Abrantes groaned pushing himself off of his empty king sized bed, small rays of sunlight slithering in from his opened blinds. Eddie pulled the knife from underneath his pillow setting it on his night stand before trudging to the bathroom.
The door was locked bringing a few grumbles from Eddie. The Abrantes man brought his fist to the door in a melodramatic manner, the raps resonating through his large room.
"I'm in here!" Atlas yelled, warm water raining down on her back . "I gotta pee!" The teen sighed, peering out of the shower curtain snapping the lock on the doorknob up before speeding back behind the curtains.
Eddie let out a relieved huff slipping inside of the restroom to do his business.
Once the two finally made it to the dining table, they found Orion sitting at the opposite of the small circle, his eyes focused on his laptop. The sweet aroma of bacon wafted into the room signaling Tobias was cooking them breakfast.
"Did you sleep well?" Orion asked barely glancing up from his screen to Atlas. The Harlow girl nodded gleefully, "What about you?"
"Eh, I couldn't get comfortable." Atlas let out a sigh at the answer. It wasn't uncommon for no rest to come to Orion despite his mostly normal sleeping schedule. "What about you Uncle Eddie?"
"I slept good, thanks." Atlas grinned plopping down into the chair beside her uncle Orion. Not longer after, Tobias appeared from the kitchen with a tray of pancakes and bacon.
Atlas eagerly took the plate from her father taking two pancakes, and four pieces of bacon. Orion shut his computer whilst Tobias took his seat
across from Atlas, Eddie already digging into his pile of pancakes.
The day would go on like that, their routine. After breakfast, Atlas would go to school. Then, she would come home, and train with her uncles. Dinner would come, and Atlas was back to training with her father in their small gym.
From his bedroom, Eddie searched the dark net for a new assignment, but came to no avail. Orion spent his time stretching in his room getting ready for a run.
That's when it all started. The doorbell rang through the Killy Boys household. Orion stopped, cocking his head in the direction of his door wondering who would possibly be at their home during this hour.
Orion unlocked the several locks lining the door. He only needed a look of Dick Grayson to slam the door in the Robin's face.
Dick sighed ringing the doorbell several times again Orion loudly cursing before ripping it open once more. "You have a lot of nerve showing up here," Orion growled at the man. "I need your help."
Orion laughed, venom dripping from the chuckle. "What the hell makes you think we would care?"
"Who is it?" Eddie questioned as he stepped upon the door wondering what seemed to anger Orion so much. In the doorway, stood Dick Grayson. Boy Wonder, the best friend of the girl who ruined Tobias' life. The so called superhero who called them evil for their ways. Dick had no right to show up on their door asking for help.
"There's these kids. I need you to watch out for them." Eddie, and Orion shared a glance before simultaneously starting to laugh. "I'll pay you."
The laughter stopped, serious expressions taking over the faces of the two assassins. "We'll do it."
"Alright!" Tobias huffed not wanting to admit he found that his daughter was beating him whilst they sparred. "Let's take a break." Atlas' breath was heavy as she nodded agreeing with her father. "I'm gonna go see who's at the door."
Tobias followed the teen into the entryway to find both Orion, and Eddie chatting intensely with whoever had came upon their door. Atlas curiously stepped up in between her uncles. Dick gasped at the sight of the teenage girl.
The daughter of his best friend. Donna believed she was making the best choice for her daughter. Personally, he believed the idea to be foolish. This special child to be raised by a group of assassins. It was nowhere near a good idea. "I'm Atlas."
The Harlow girl had no knowledge of who this man was, but he knew. As did Tobias. Said man, pushed past Eddie launching at the Robin.
Tobias ripped his blade from the thigh holster hiding under his basketball shorts. In the matter of seconds, Tobias had Dick pinned to the ground dagger pressed against his neck. "He's gonna pay us!" Orion exclaimed not surprised by the reaction.
"We don't need the money," Tobias snarled glaring down on the adopted son of Batman. Atlas didn't understand, she glimpsed to her uncle Eddie who simply sighed mouthing,
I'll explain later.
Dick mumbled something to quiet for Tobias to decipher. The Robin wrapped his leg around Tobias' back rolling him over so he was on top, but Tobias' hold hadn't faltered the dagger still against his larynx.
"She won't be there."
"How am I supposed to believe a damn thing you say?"
"Do you really think she'd suddenly want your help after all this time? I got kids like you're child—" "Atlas. I named her Atlas." A curt chuckle fell from Dick's lips, moisture blowing into Tobias' eyes. "There's kids like Atlas with me. I want you guys to protect them."
"Why?"
"'Cause unfortunately, the Killy Boys are the best."
Tobias was quiet for a moment, processing the situation. "How much are you going to pay?"
This story won't be focused on a love story. It's more about the family relationship between Atlas, the Killy Boys, and Donna. I just wanted to warn you that if Jason doesn't seem super important, it's because he's not a main part of Atlas' storyline, but he still is apart of it. And, I'll focus on him in Season 2.
