Hyunjin had to retrace all his steps to recall exactly how he got here, he wanted to remember every single moment, every decision he made tonight that led to him staring down into his crush's eyes, the boy pinned under him on the bed, both of his wrists gathered in the hand of the taller and pressed into the mattress, the silence between them charged like electricity that crackled with anticipation, ignited by each touch.

Their breaths, heavy and tinged with the sweet scent of alcohol and want, mingled between them in the room, their heartbeats nearly swallowed by the white noise of the waves crashing on the beach just outside but the pounding in both their chests was too prominent, too similar, too harmonic as they both beat in the familiar rhythm of desire for the other. It was a moment that even the crashing of the tides couldn't overpower in this long-awaited starless June night.

Hyunjin needed to burn every moment leading to now into his memory as he lowered himself, bringing his face closer to the raven-haired beneath him to press his lips to the heart-shaped ones he had admired from afar for too long, the ones that called to him without an audible voice, but those lips begged to be met with his own, captured in a hungry fitting of their mouths as they devoured each other in impatience, giving in to the hidden desires that maybe they didn't even know lurked beneath the surface of their every interaction.

This moment, along with the others, he needed to imprint onto his soul as their lips moved together and caressed each other in the dim light, the raven-haired's eyes closing as their mouths locked like puzzle pieces, their tongues pushing in to claim the other, leaving no breath unstolen and no low, satisfied exhale not swallowed between them.

His lips tasted of heaven and wine, although to some, those two were synonymous anyways. God knows where he got a bottle of Cabernet in this half-assed excuse of a beach house party; maybe he coaxed it out of the host, but now his lips and mouth were tainted with the rich flavor, and Hyunjin gladly indulged, greatly preferring to get drunk off his lips. That boy could coax a polar bear into a desert with those eyes, the same chocolate eyes that became half-lidded and glazed over while Hyunjin kissed him, their tongues meeting in the shared taste of the taboo alcohol.

Like the robust wine, tinted with savor of black cherry and paradise, those dainty but temptingly full heart-shaped lips were addicting, and Hyunjin couldn't stop himself from lingering a bit longer on the raven-haired's mouth, even while he showed signs of breathlessness and broke the kiss gasping for air, his lips glistening with Hyunjin's own saliva. the air he was gasping for seemed to only be Hyunjin's own exhales as he panted into the younger's face, and the ravenette inhaled it as if he craved Hyunjin's breath more than the oxygen swirling in his own chest, heaving from the passion of the moment.

Hyunjin wanted to commit every moment until now to memory, like he would burn the image of the boy under him into his mind, the way his deep eyes were hazed with intoxication and silent pleas of want, the way that dazzling, enrapturing gaze scanned over his own exposed torso, drinking in the sight of him like Hyunjin's abdomen was another sip of rich alcohol and he wasn't drunk enough already. But the blond might never admit how much he craved that gaze on him, how he loved the way the boy's eyes wandered over him as if he was a delicious indulgence and the ravenette was famished, desperate for his body.

Hyunjin wanted to burn this night into his mind like the raven-haired's touch would be burned into his skin, his fingertips grazing over every angle of his muscles and leaving a tingling trail that raised Hyunjin's senses a hundred fold, not only devouring the blonde's body with his gaze but now reaching out to bravely touch the forbidden fruit that he would soon be allowed to taste, his wine-tainted lips attaching to the sensitive skin and eliciting sounds from the older that he didn't know were capable of rumbling from his throat.
The older was so much more sensitive to his crush's touch, and every etcasy of contact with the honeyed skin of the younger made Hyunjin's mind reflect, hazy as it was with alcohol and high on the air that was thick with desire, on what right decisions he made to get here.

There were quite a few decisions, but the most prominent and important had been made on the morning of a day two weeks ago.

"There!" Hyunjin had slammed his palm onto the lower part of the map of the United States with much gusto and ceremony, the force of his slap causing the whiteboard that the map was taped across to wobble.

Because Hyunjin wasn't the type to simply reveal their summer destination to his friends so blandly as by telling them, he needed to rent a whiteboard and tape a US map to it in the middle of his living room, and with his two friends gathered on the couch in front of him, slap it until the sound of skin hitting whiteboard echoed through his apartment with theatrical finality.

Dramatics were held very close to his heart, let him have his small comforts.

A brunette laying across the couch squinted at the map, a hand behind his head as he propped himself up. "Move your fat hand," Seungmin ordered, staring from Hyunjin's hand to the freshly blond's face. Hyunjin obeyed the command, his satisfied grin from perfectly delivering the revelation dropping along with his arm.

Crunches and munches popped like background static as a dark-haired on the opposite side of the couch raised a hand to his mouth, another potato chip between his fingers. "Miami, Florida? Why there?" the fox-eyed paused his movements to ask out of curiosity when Hyunjin dropped his hand and he could finally see their revealed destination clearly. Although it's not obvious how he guessed so accurately, since Hyunjin's hand was covering a rather wide part of the small map, but the boy was nevertheless correct, and a sly smirk returned to the face of the blond in front of the whiteboard.

"I think the question we should be asking, first of all, is where the hell did you get that monolith of a whiteboard?" Hyunjin promptly ignored Seungmin's accusing inquiry, his voice lilted with disappointment as if he expected that the blond had stolen it from their campus.

Rotating his open laptop on the coffee table to show the two on the couch a display of the selection of beach houses available to rent out, Hyunjin explained proudly, "Miami, Florida is one of America's best tourist destinations. The beaches are gorgeous and the waves are unrivaled, the sunsets are more golden than anywhere on earth and the salty air that melts on your tongue-" An advocate straight from Florida would have been jealous of this blond Korean's pitching skills, and would have been burning green in envy if he were allowed to continue, but alas, Seungmin did not allow him.

"We went to Cali last time and you fell in love, promised we'd go back, why Florida now?" Hyunjin half cursed the brunette's perfect memory of his words, but running a hand through his recently dyed blond hair, he explained as Seungmin laid cross-legged on the couch, scrolling through his phone, looking as though he honestly didn't care whether they went to California, or Florida, or hell, even Hawaii. And he didn't.

"Because Florida is a nice change from where we usually go for vacations," the tallest of the group leaned against the whiteboard, which was now forgotten after being used for its dramatic but unnecessary and very short lived purposes. "The beaches are beautiful, the palm trees, the air- it's different from Cali, and if you guys are fine with it, I'd like us to visit there this year."

Seungmin shrugged like he couldn't care less, which wasn't true, he could care less if he tried, but he truly was near the bottom of the barrel as is. He was the nonchalant type that didn't mind if he went across town or halfway across the world; the most important thing was spending time with his friends, he knew he would have fun regardless. But he would never openly admit all that 'to the edge of the city or the edge of the world, where you go I'll follow' sappy friendship stuff.

Jeongin however, the fox-eyed on the opposite side of the couch, fitting his body wherever Seungmin's stretched legs weren't, was a bit more vocal about his vacation time, although he did have the same 'edge of the city, edge of the world' views. But it seemed he had no objections this time, perhaps he was too engaged in his phone and potato chips to object at present.

Suddenly, he held up his phone and turned the screen to Hyunjin, munching on an extra crispy chip. It snapped in his mouth as he stated, "Your crush is going to Florida too, look."

Leaning closer, Hyunjin discerned that the screen was displaying one of his crush's insta posts, and he scoffed, rolling his eyes when he pulled back. "Thanks, Sherlock. Why do you think we're going?"

"You already stalked his instagram?"

"I stalked him, not much difference though."

Jeongin retracted his arm, slowly drawing his phone back to himself and watching the screen with furrowed brows. "True, he'd post whether he ate pancakes or Lucky Charms for breakfast so you wouldn't need to ask."

"What'd he eat for breakfast today?"

The dark-haired's finger swiped frantically. "French toast."

Seungmin piped up quickly to keep the group on topic, still curious, eyebrows knitted. "How did you find out where he was going for vacation?"

The taller flipped his hair, which he had been rightfully vain of since he had dyed it blond. It suited him too well. "I had sources."

"His friends?" The brunette recalled vaguely that Hyunjin was acquainted with one of his crush's friends, Bahng Chan, a nice guy who was like brothers with the crush, so he would be the prime target for any information. But Hyunjin shook his head.

"I just asked him myself." Hyunjin wasn't the type to shy away from his crushes, in fact, it was quite the opposite and so hilariously so that it could be considered ridiculous how switched the roles were from a glance. If the Hwang Hyunjin had a crush, he'd go after what he wanted, tirelessly but with class, not desperately or begging; that was the difference.
And if anyone discovered that Hyunjin had romantic feelings toward them, they would be the one shaking in their socks as the tall, handsome and fair-skinned now blond came to confess, when he inevitably did after months of planning his moves carefully and with precision.

Slapping his palm on the map again, the sound bouncing off the walls, Hyunjin stated, leaving no room for argument, his hand covering the entire lower branch of the country, "This year for summer vacation, we're following my crush to Miami, Florida."

And he had yet to be rejected once. He didn't plan on breaking his streak this time either, as he chased after the one and only Lee Felix.
