CHAPTER TWELVE;
when all is said and done.

HOURS AFTER THE CHOAS of the wedding all the guest including the happy couple were sat wining and dining at the reception. lydia couldn't be more happy than she was in this moment.

she still couldn't believe this man chatting and laughing with her daughter was her husband. he was the only one who captured her heart and locked it away safely.

stiles had an arm resting on the back of betty chair as they giggled and whispered ridiculous things. something a father and daughter would do. jughead soon joined the conversation taking a liking to stiles.

allison was sat at the other end of the table chatting with scott, more like flirting. she giggled at his jokes and was just all in all head over heels for him.

malia was talking to issac and getting advice on her marriages and why they didn't work out. issac looked in distress and malia rambled on and on about her failed marriages. lydia couldn't help but laugh at the fact issac was trying to look for a way out chugging down his beer.

lydia looked at her whole family, that's all she needed, all she'll ever need. her two sister malia and allison, her best friends scott and issac, her new son in law jughead and a beautiful baby girl betty; but most of all the love of her life stiles.

she's snapped out of her daydream as stiles stands up announcing he has a speech. he takes a hold of lydia's hand kissing it sweetly. "i never thought i'd be stood here today... with the love of my life... lydia martin you are the woman who has captured my heart, the woman who has always had my heart."

"here's to us, one more toast and then we'll pay the bill." the guest sniggered watching him. "i never want this day to end, i know now and for the rest of my life that you will forever be mine, and i will forever be yours martin." he winked. "i apologise, i will forever be yours mrs stilinski." she blushed deeply nuzzling her face in his hand.

"in our lives we have walked some strange and lonely treks." he continued. "and i am ashamed not all of my walks have been with you; but now lydia i'll walk with you forever." the guests were in awe of the happy couple.

"we're slightly worn but dignified and not too old for sex." the guest let out a few cheers as stiles winked at lydia. malia and allison cheering the loudest. "never too old are we missis." lydia's mouth hung open and she slapped him playfully on the arm as she pointed to her daughter that was sat next to him.

he chuckled kissing betty's head in an apology. betty only giggled smiling happily as jughead wrapped his arms around her, kissing the side of her head.

"we're striving for the sky baby! now that we're together i can love you till the end of time and forever and ever and ever more." stiles twirled the band on her finger. "neither you or i are to blame when all is said and done."

"i don't think i've ever been happy than i am right now, i have everything i need right her. some amazing friends, a beautiful daughter and most importantly of them all the love of my life lydia." he pulled her up softly. she wrapped her arms around his waist cuddling into his chest.

stiles held her tightly stroking her hair softly and gently soothing her. "thank you for all your generous love and thank you for all the fun. the endless nights we used to spend together, the countless adventures we'd embark on."

lydia rested her chin on his chest looking up at him happily in admiration from him. he looked down at her kissing her nose softly "my little fire cracker, your hair the most magnificent colour in the whole world. like your eyes which are magnificent and breathtaking." she blushed deeply mouthing 'i love you' to him.

"there's no hurry any more when all is said and done. because i love you lydia, i love you more than anything in the world." he kissed her passionately. "so!" he pecked her lips again before picking up his glass. "can we all give a toast the most beautiful, hardworking, magnificent woman that is lydia martin."

lydia blushed deeply as everyone held up their glasses of champagne giving a toast to her. once stiles had settled back down lydia didn't waste time by putting her lips on his. he smiled happily pulled her close. "i love you my beautiful wife."

"i love you more my handsome husband." lydia tangled her fingers in his hair making him pull her on top of her. lydia let out a loud laugh kissing him before getting back up sitting on his knee.

allison had quietly snuck off with scott to the other side of the reception where's it's more quiet. "if you change your mind..." she pushed him against a wall. "i'm the first in line." she smirked. "honey i'm still free... take a chance on me." he apologised before pushing her off him.

he slowly walked away, she had to think quickly. "speech!!" this caught his attention. she climbed onto the table as she clinked the glasses. "if you're all alone when the pretty birds have flown, honey i'm still free!" she pointed to scott. he stood there shocked as everyone clapped along.

"take a chance on me!" she skipped towards him, trying to avoid kicking anything off the table. "gonna do my very best and ain't it no lie, if you put me to the test, if you let me try!" she danced shimmying in front of him. lydia and malia her biggest fans stood up cheering her on.

"take a chance on me!" she jumped into his arms, making him catch her standing up and twirling her around. everyone was now stood up cheering and clapping along with allison.

"we can go dancing." she held scott's hand dancing with him.

"we can go walking..." he suggested trying not to influence her too much.

"as long as we're together... listen to some music." she winked at him.

"maybe just talking." he also suggested.

"you'll get to know me better!" she grabbed both of his hands pulling him close.

"cause you know i've got!" issac shot up quickly joining in with the pair. "so much that i wanna do," issac's new boy toy shot up next to him wrapping there arms around each other "when i dream i'm all alone with you, it's magic!" he enclosed this with a passionate and steamy kiss.

allison smiled chasing scott around the whole reception, her now standing on the table as he dashed in between them. "you want me to leave it there?!"

"afraid of a love affair!" scott argued.

"but i think you know, i can't let go." she danced very seductively along the tables.

"if you're all alone when the pretty birds have flown honey I'm still free take a chance on me!" everyone else singing along clapping and chanting.

"gonna do my very best and it ain't no lie. if you put me to the test of you let me try, take a chance on me!" scott said holding out his arms as she ran jumping into his arms kissing him passionately as he spun her around and around.

the rest of the guest joined them singing, clapping and dancing along with them. they all jumped up and down happy and exited. all of them shouting and repeating "take a chance on me!"

the atmosphere got louder and louder causing a crack to form in the ground. nobody took notice of the minor crack and didn't let it spoil there fun as they continued to jump up and down repeatedly.

a spurt of water shot up in the air, the crack in the ground now huge and shooting out so much water. everyone gasped and continued to 'dance in the rain.'

lydia smiled happily hugging betty as they swayed and twirled the water falling everywhere. betty was soon swept off her feet by jughead as he secured his arms around her waist spinning her round and round, the joy in their faces irreplaceable.

lydia smiled happily at her daughter, meanwhile stiles had snaked his arms around her waist kissing her neck softly. lydia smirked turning around she soon attached her lips to his as he tangled his fingers in her now soaking wet hair.

she soon ripped off his shirt making her bit her lip seductively as he chuckled and her wanting to undress her right there and then. she jumped into his arms grinding on him slightly making him glare at her.

issac was dancing around with malia and his new boyfriend. they had both taken off their shirts a lovely view for malia to stare at.

allison and scott were too busy making out to take notice of the huge fountain of water that has just been produced from the ground. he whispered to meet him at his boat later on for the after party. she smirked and went off to find malia and lydia.

lydia was pulled off stiles by allison and malia who all engulfed each other in a huge hug. the trio all finally happy, or somewhat happy. she jumped up and down dancing with them.

and finally lydia got her happy ending, the one she deserved from the very beginning and now finally she has it, and she couldn't be more happier.

after the chaos had died down and the guest have headed back to where they were staying, jughead and betty were off.

jughead, betty, lydia, stiles, scott and issac all headed down to the dock. jughead waved climbing into the boat as betty said her proper goodbyes.

she hugged issac first as she kissed his cheek and whispered how much she loved him.

she then moved onto scott as he kissed her head and cuddled her tightly as elizabeth told him how much she loved him also.

stiles picked her up and twirled her around as betty nuzzled into his neck. he peppered her face with kisses as she told him how much she loved him.

when he let her down she tangled herself in her mothers embrace as they walked to the end of the dock together. lydia kissed her head and held her so close. they both had tears in there eyes as they told each other how much they love each other and how they were going to miss each other.

betty was helped onto the boat by jughead as they set off on the beginning of their journey. the three men walked towards the end of the dock joining lydia as all of them waved them off.

"i have a dream..." elizabeth spoke quietly and softly as she floated away.
