Chapter 7: Hospitality
"Can you stand?" Aizawa asked as he lifted Y/N. They nearly tripped but did manage to rebalance themselves, wincing at the pain that shot through their back.
"It's always my damn back."
He wrapped his arm around their waist and lifted them up. Y/N grabbed Aizawa's shoulder and moved in pace with him, the pain slowly receding as they got used to the pulsing. As they left the building, they realized the girl that was there had also disappeared. Aizawa walked to the car, opened the door and gently laid Y/N in, slowly trying to buckle the seatbelt before going to his own side.
----
"Is it too tight?" Aizawa asked, running his hand between Y/N's body and the seatbelt. He turned around, not hearing a response and saw their face turned to the window, and a slow hum coming from their chest. They were asleep. Aizawa chuckled under his breath, at least it was weekend so they got to recover. They drove into the driveway and Aizawa moved to Y/N's side to open the door. Gently taking off the belt, he lifted them up. They squirmed in his arms and he tried to adjust so as to accommodate the bruises and possible injuries. He walked to the door and realized he had fond himself at an impasse. He took his scarf and used it to make a makeshift support for their legs as he unlocked the door, using his shoulder to push it open. He shut the door with his foot but now had another question of where to put them. He didn't want to rest them on the couch like he did last time. He sighed and went to his bedroom, pushing open the door with his back and laying Y/N on the bed.
----
What annoyed Aizawa was the lack of information on "Healing" quirks. It wasn't that they were lacking in society for any decent study. It was more that everyone focused on the other flashier quirks. He also began to question why so many people had fire-based quirks. He shut his laptop and slouched into the couch. His eyes were dry again from staring into the laptop so he went off to get his eyedrops. As he walked by the room to the bathroom, he couldn't help but sneak a peek. He smiled at the sight of Y/N snuggled on the bed, holding one of his pillows. He felt his heart pull at the image of that being him between their arms. He went into the bathroom, switched on the lights, and took a bottle of eyedrops from the cabinet. A few drops in each eye and he decided that it was probably better to give his eyes a longer rest.
He walked into the bedroom, smiling again at the sleeping form and silently tried to change into his sleeping clothes. Before he left to go sleep on the couch, he heard a murmuring from the bed:
"Aizawa?"
"I'm here..."
"Sleep here?"
It's not like he could resist. He went and slid under the covers, pulling Y/N into his chest. They melted into his arms, burying their face in his chest and falling asleep in a quick second. Aizawa smiled into the darkness, feeling happier than he had in a good few years. He laid a kiss on their forehead, before delving into his own sleep.
