I walk through the forest. Great just great. Rapunzel had sent me an invitation to some picnic. I don't want to go to a stupid picnic, but Ibis kind of dragged me. He was pushing me along the forest. The only thing about this that was good, was that she promised that Frederic won't join us. It would be me and her and a couple of friends. Not sure who they are but it would make no difference. Her letter practically begged me to come. I guess I needed to end her misery. 

I push past the bushes to where the picnic was. I jumped.

"Your majesty? What are you doing here?" I ask.

"Rapunzel invited me. I wanted to spend the day with Eugene. I think he thinks this is awkward." He said.

I look at Rapunzel. She gave me an innocence look. She smiled and gestured for me to sit down. 

"You didn't tell me his majesty would be here." I say.

"We said friends." Eugene said munching. 

I guess I don't really have a choice. I sat down. I started eating. King Edmund was right, this is awkward. I haven't talked to him in months. He looked at me smiley. 

"I will now try to talk to Hector. How are you?" He asked. 

"Fine." I answered. 

"It's been a while since you've shown up to the Dark Kingdom. We we're starting to worry." He said.

"Wait, you left the Dark Kingdom?" Rapunzel asked.

"I was hoping we wouldn't go there." I sigh.

"He left the Dark Kingdom?" Eugene asked.

I slap myself in the face. 

"Why did you leave so abruptly Hector?" Edmund asked.

"I... needed to clear my head." I answer. 

"Y'know, you didn't have to leave out of the blue. You missed our meetings." He said.

"I didn't want this to be a whole thing." I say.
