Nightmist didn't really like being part of a clan.
Although she loved to fight, she had never witnessed real fights with the rival clans, who never stopped humiliating ShadowClan during the Gatherings. Finally, there was still the one from Thunder who took their defense, but the other three always acted as if he had done a bad thing which remains unforgivable.

For hunting, Nightmist didn't see why there was a need for patrols. "It's to bring back more prey" they said.

The young warrior walked among the tall grass of the forest, and froze when she saw a blackbird.
She approached, without making the slightest noise. But by tough luck, she stepped on a twig, which snapped.
Alerted, the bird immediately took flight, Nightmist wanted to chase it, but the blackbird was already high in the sky
"Fox-dung!" she swore

"Screwed up," someone meowed just behind.

Night Mist immediately turned around, her eyes widening as soon as she recognized the brown tabby tom.
What was Tigerfoot doing around here?
- Were you following me? she asked him with his hair standing on end

The newcomer shook his head, and Nightmist let his fur fall back into place.
"I went hunting too," The tom explained. "Then I saw you chasing a blackbird." He added: "You really screwed up"

"You said it at least twice in a row," the black she cat retorted, sighing, while shrugging her shoulders. "Anyway" -she continued, focusing her gaze on the border-"I'm gonna go hunting somewhere else, maybe I'll find some interesting things on the WindClan border"
