Past Macaque: Thanks plums.

Past Yellowtusk: Wukong, we're to believe you gave the Jade Emperor such lip?

Past Monkey King: Well, I'm paraphrasing, but you get the idea. They're calling it the "Havoc in Heaven!"

Past Xīng Guāng: Ooo!

Past Peng: What an insolent, little chimp you are.

Past Macaque: You're really going through with this?

Past Monkey King: Correction. (He drinks from a gourd and belches.) We're really going through with this. Like always! Monkey bros getting into some cheeky mischief.

Past Macaque: Look, Wukong, I get you're excited, I do. But crossing the Jade Emperor is gonna have consequences and... you're not listening. (He sighs.)

Past Monkey King: (He puts on banana bunches, imitating the Jade Emperor.) I am the Jade Emperor!

Past Demon Bull King: Hilarious little monkey.

Past Peng: You always were the most cowardly of the bunch, Macaque. Slinking around in the shadows like a rodent. Well, I, for one, am done with squabbling for scraps.

Past Xīng Guāng: Peng hey don't say that to moonlight!

Past Yellowtusk: Indeed. The Jade Emperor and his followers have lorded long enough with no regard for those they rule.

Past Demon Bull King: The realm is well overdue for new leadership, and I think we all know the best man for the job.

Past Monkey King + Past Xīng Guāng: Aw, when did you become such a big sweetheart?

Past Demon Bull King: Not you! A true leader should be big, strong, and handsome, like Azure Lion.

Past Xīng Guāng: Nice choice DBK!

Past Peng: Yes. Huh, Azure would look perfect on the throne!

Past Yellowtusk: An ideal figurehead indeed.

Past Azure Lion: (He laughs.) I'm flattered, truly, but were it not for Sun Wukong bringing us together, right? Without you, none of this would be possible. Your courage to stand up to the Celestial Host has inspired us to finally take a stand. To make a true difference in the world. And I could think of none other more suitable to lead us on our conquest than you, brother.

Past Peng: Yes! (They laugh.)

Past Monkey King: Alright, if you insist. (He catches Macaque glaring at him.) Relax, bud! When this is over, we'll be back here, basking in the sun, getting fat on fruit for the rest of... well, forever! Like we always wanted with peaches.

Past Macaque: (A smile breaks on his face.) Whatever you say, Wukong.

Past Xīng Guāng: And maybe we can try to have a child~

(Past Monkey King and Past Macaque both blushed as Past Xīng Guāng laughed)

(In the present, the Monkie Kids are looking through the same spot, now dusty and cracked with age.)

Tang: So, you're saying you unlocked a cursed scroll and were attacked by DBK, Iron Fan, Spider Queen, Ne Zha, and some other demons you've never seen before?

MK: No, I'm saying we were attacked by ink versions of DBK, Iron Fan, Spider Queen, and all those other ones you just said.

Mei: And that Monkey King was sucked into an ancient scroll that you found in his room full of junk.

Athena: Oh boi, this ain't good.

Lorise: Yep.

Aims: So Angie did you tell him about you know his.

Angie: Nope! Plus Spider Angie really needs a lover so I'm gonna get Ink MK so they can be together so I have my MK and Spider Angie has the ink verson of MK.

Angel: Well I don't even know what to say.

Sandy: And now you're thinking Mr. Tang's gonna use his newfound powers to free our Mystic Monkey! Right?

Pigsy: And uh if that amazing plan doesn't work?

Tang: Hey.

MK: (He laughs.) Don't worry about it guys! I figure this is just another cheeky, little adventure! If fighting Lady Bone Demon was a marathon, this is like a-a-a half marathon. Ideally less, you know? Short sprint.

Mei: Uh, MK? You okay, my guy?

Angie: MK we are 100% getting you in therapy with Sandy!

MK: Yep! (He dashes off and checks the room.) Okay! No Ink Demons. Phew! When we get Monkey King out, we're gonna look back and laugh. Oh, how we'll laugh! (He forces a laugh.)

Lorise: WELP, this is gonna be fine ha ha ha....

Mei: Whoa! Monkey King... is a hoarder.

Sandy: Hey, I think I found the scroll.

MK + Angie: Sandy, wait! (The scroll is unrolled and Sandy drops it, backing away.)

Sandy: Uh... (Ink Demons emerge.)

Aims: Aight, Tangy, you're up! (She tosses him forward.)

Tang: Uh, give our Mystic Monkey back, or you're going to learn why they call me Mr. Tang! (He tries to use his powers.)

Pigsy + Angel: Anytime now!

Tang: Give it a minute!

Ink Tang Sanzang: Your journey is not complete.

Ink Zhu Bajie: This fool has no strength.

Ink Sha Wujing: Your fear makes you weak.

Ink White Horse Dragon: You are but a footnote.

Ink Xīng Guāng: What kinda of demon are you?

Angie: WAIT Xīng Guāng?!

MK: Who?

Angie: Uh I'll explain later.

Tang: Uh, I'm not sure my sweet magic moves did the trick.

Pigsy: You think?

(The Ink Demons attack and MK leaps away, grabbing Mei, Angel, Athena, Aims and Lorise in the process. He looks up to see Tang's glasses and Angie's necklace and then the others sink below the ink.)

MK: NO NO NO! Angie! (He tears up) Angie... (Grabbed Angie's necklace)

Ink Zhu Bajie: You will fall. (Slashes come from behind and make contact with the Ink Demons, reducing them to splatters.)

Mei + Aims: What the hay? (A figure walks in and swings down his sword.) 

Mei: I want that!

Ink Xīng Guāng + Ink Peng + Ink Yellowtusk: Brother, we are fallen. You swore to save this world.

Azure Lion: Forgive me, brothers and sister.

Ink Xīng Guāng + Ink Peng + Ink Yellowtusk: You swore, brother! (Echoing.) Brother. Brother. Brother.

(Azure Lion defeats the Ink Demons and seals the ink in the scroll, which falls into his hand. He looks at it briefly before he is suddenly attacked by MK and Mei.)

Azure Lion: Hand over the scroll, children.

MK: No, you hand over the scroll, or—

Mei: (Whispering.) We've got the scroll.

MK: We've got the scroll! Now free our friends and my girlfriend, and we don't have to get physical.

Azure Lion: You expect me to believe you were not responsible for stealing the scroll despite it being in your possession?

Angel + Lorise + Athena + Aims + MK + Mei: Yup!

Mei: We don't even know what this friend napper is, so there's that. (Azure Lion bursts into laughter.) He's laughing. 

Angel: Hey! Why are you laughing?!

Azure Lion: Okay, okay. (He puts away his saber.) Let's start again. You must be MK the Monkie Kid, Mei the White Horse Dragon Girl, Angel the new lover of Monkey King and the Six-eard Macaque, Athena girlfriend of Red Son, Lorise the lover of Mei and Aims the friend of Angie The Star Warrior.

Angel: How did he know?

Athena: And how did he know our lovers.

Aims: (Shrugged)

Mei: Tell us who you are, guy, before we mess! You! Up! (She demonstrates a flurry of punches and kicks.)

Azure Lion: I've gone by many names. Perhaps the one you are familiar with is... the Azure Lion! (He looks back to see Angel, Athena, Aims, Lorise, MK and Mei give him blank faces.) Or... not, okay. In any case, I am here to help. The item that imprisoned your friends is a fragment of the Scroll of Memory, an ancient artifact stolen from The Underworld. If not by you, then presumably by your Master, Sun Wukong.

MK: You know Monkey King?!

Azure Lion: Everyone knows the Monkey King. But yes, he was once my sworn brother.

MK: Hmm, I see. Interesting. You know who else was a sworn brother of Monkey King? You might have heard of a little guy called Demon Bull King?!

Azure Lion: Ah, well. The Sun Wukong isn't exactly the easiest person to get along with. He has quite a habit of keeping people at arm's length. We were young, mistakes were made... and some mistakes can't be undone.

Angel: But Im the lover of both monkies!

Mei: (She gasps and pulls down his twin tufts.) Yo! So does that make you MK's sworn uncle? MK, you didn't tell me you had an Uncy Lion.

MK: Hey, Mei, you know Monkey King's not actually my dad, right? Plus if he was that means Angie and I won't be together because she the daughter of Macaque, and thats means Angel will be her mom as Monkey King will be her dad and if I was the child of Monkey King then Angel will also be my mom and Macaque be my dad making me and Angie siblings.

Athena: But you're the son of Pigsy not Monkey King.

Aims: How does that make so much sense.

Angel: Agreed.

Lorise: Huh.

Mei: Oh well smartie kid.

MK: Yeah I am!

Azure Lion: The only reason I can imagine Monkey King would have "borrowed" the scroll is that he has become sentimental in his old age. After all, that scroll contains the memories of his Journey to the West.

MK: You're telling me that I'm holding the Journey to the West legend in my hand right now?!

Azure Lion: That, and the great many other tales, I'm sure. Everything that has ever happened, every deed, every word has been recorded in the Scroll of Memory. It's a prison, designed to contain wicked souls, forcing them to relive their past misdeeds over and over again for all eternity. In order to contain its prisoners, a powerful protective curse was cast upon the scroll to prevent those imprisoned from escaping and ensare any who would seek to free those locked inside, trapping them forever. Left unchecked, that curse would have spread, consuming everything until nothing remained. I thought I arrived in time to contain the curse, but based on your expressions, I would hazard a guess that Sun Wukong has already been consumed, along with your friends and also your girlfriend Angie.

Angel: W-WOW?! TO MUCH!

Lorise: Thats so much info!

Athena: Mhm.

MK: But it's fine, right? We'll just pop this bad boy open and get them back!

Azure Lion: It's too late to save them. We can't risk unleashing the curse into the world.

MK: You don't know! We'd risk it for sure! I won't abandon them when they need us. If your friendship with Monkey King meant anything to you—

Azure Lion: It meant everything to me. If your friendship is as strong as you say it is, then... perhaps there is a way. But we need to move now.

MK: (Simultaneously.) Wait for real?

Mei: (Simultaneously.) What? You're actually gonna... help?

Lorise: This is gonna be so cool we're gonna find our friends as their past self!

Athena: But why Angie got sucked in?

Angel + Aims: Yeah, thats stange. JINKS!

Azure Lion: We're brothers. Nothing could ever change that.

MK: Yes, yes, yes! Yes! Yes! We'll just go in after them, find our boys in a bunch of cheeky little adventures, beat the curse and bing-bam-boom, we're done.

Azure Lion: I'll open the scroll long enough for you to get inside. But finding your friends, that'll be up to you.

MK: (Simultaneously.) We got this!

Mei + Lorise: (Simiultaneously.) Let's go!

Azure Lion: In order to escape the scroll, you'll need to defeat its protective curse, but it's going to take all your stength combined. Now, hand me the scroll. If we're going to do this, we need to trust each other. (MK looks at Mei, who gives a tiny nod. He hands the scroll to Azure Lion, who smiles.) Look out for one another. You can do this.

MK: Thank you so much, Uncy Lion!

Azure Lion: Alright. Ready? Good luck.

Athena: LEGOO!

Lorise: Never mind I CHANGE MY MIND!

Aims: LETS GO THIS!

Angel: We are getting our friends back!

(Ink White Horse Dragon emerges and consumes them. Angel, Athena, Aims, Lorise, MK and Mei step back as they look around in the new scenary they're in.)
